HP Pavilion DV6 1204AU Reviews

DV6- Great and powerful experience

A sleek black 15 inch laptop, an efficient performer, durable enough ( 3 years plus and still going strong ).

Bought this with my hard earned money and it is worth an investment. has been with me through tough times. it still works well though a bit old, it has slowed down. but a format is all it needs.

Didnt give me any performance related issues, no blue or black screen or any other technical troubles till now. Some driver conflicts were handled easily.

As a hard core gamer have this laptop has survived alot of hours at a stretch. In short, a nice system and a good purchase.

If heating could be reduced than it would have been wonderful. Still manageable.

Thumbs up for this product

I bought Hp DV6-1204au With AMD Athlon X2 64, 3GB, 320Gb, ATI shared Graphics Card in 2009 for 43, 000/-.I was not given warranty that time since hp wasn't giving any and right after it went out of warranty in 2011 its display started having problem, It didn't start.

Complaint was logged they told after diagnosis its ATI graphics card issue, you have to change entire motherboard. I spent 12800/- for it since I thought there could be some genuine problem. But now again in 2013 just 18 months after again same problem started occurring, garbage display, blue screen. I'm again asked to change the motherboard this time it is 17, 000/-.

This is a faulty laptop and spoke to hp but won't accept their mistake despite me sending them written proof of fault. Then I did research I found out that AMD processor is very fast and develops more heat and to this comparison hp hasn't put proper heat sink. this heat sink can only hold for 9-12 months and then given up overheating other parts and spoiling motherboard, and graphic card and DVD.

Hp doesn't care for customers it only want to make money, I think we should bring this down, I'm gonna fightback. If anybody having same problem let get together.

Regards,

Ashutosh
