Hi. I purchased the laptop DELL studio 1450 long back in 2010 in Hyderabad. The laptop performance is superb. I am using this laptop from 8 years and it is excellent. The image quality and SRS sound needs special mention. The sound quality is awesome. Though it is Core2Duo processor, its performance is excellent. I think Dell is the best brand to go when thinking to purchase a laptop. The elegant design of the screen makes every one to turn their heads.

Firstly I am also use this item it is great and it has many features we can use friendly and easily to use its colour is blue this laptop speed and accuracy is good we can see in only 1 problem that is power backup in this laptop the battery backup is bad in new its battery backup is very good but sometimes later its battery is damaged and not work properly otherwise it is good I am very satisfied this laptop we can continuously work in 3 hoiurs but it cannot heated its very cool laptop in design wise and other feature wise its service is excellent and creativity is awesome its keyboard nuttonsis so soft that is erwey easily type

Hey friends, here I am going to share my experience with DELL Studio 1558. I got a chance to use this from my friend. Let me share my experience what I got what I think of it.

The laptop which I used was of blue color. I like the dark blue color. It comes with different color. So we have options for different colors which we can whose from.

Regarding the configuration, I found the laptop is well configured for today's generation. It has two HDMI ports which we can connect to TV. It has regular USB ports, RJ45 port, headphone jack. It comes with SD card slot. It runs with Intel Core i7 processor. It has 4GB of RAM which is quite good for casual gaming.

It has quite good 15 inch display which is quite clear and supports higher resolution. I found no issue with the display.

Here we have to compromise with the sound. It is not so good, not so bad.

Keys and touch pad are nice and smooth. The are very much reactive, I mean the respond quickly.

I found an issue with the graphics. The display lags a lot. It is very sluggish when it comes to game. May be the graphics driver needs to be upgraded regularly.

For gaming I won't recommend this laptop.

Dell studio 1558 is a good laptop for user who doesnt play games at all, for them its a superb laptop but gamers its just waste of money, its keyboard is also not so good as the spacing between the keys is very less display is good but when u see it from the side its very reflective the touchpad is too small to zoom in and scroll. But the webcam is of top class the images that I clicked are awesome and no lag while video recording, even after extended use temp is not very high, but the laptop is very heavy and bulky which is disappoints a lot

Dell studio 1558 the laptop lid is nicely textured but it's a extremely prone to fingerprint smudges in terms of looks you get what you pay for with the ideapad 100 this on frills notebook sports on all plastic mate design with a small silver dell logo on the exterior and a black coot of pint throughout.

This laptop slow after opens the 4-5 windows at a time,

Some time its keyboard also going to error.

Service of dell is good, but the giving back to customers after repairing approx. they take One monthh for some times.

When the Studio 1558 isn't loaded at all, it's almost silent with 31.2 dB(A)(whereby the fan turns up a level every now and again for no obvious reason). The fan runs along quietly with 34.3 dB(A) under low load. The hard disk is usually drowned with its noise level of 32.1 dB(A), although sometimes a quiet clacking is perceptible. The DVD drive isn't exactly a pussyfooter. While DVD rendering is still just alright with 36.4 dB(A), it howls and roars at data access with up to 47.5 dB(A) disturbingly just as well as annoyingly. Conclusively, the Studio 1558 is very evident .

I don't like Dell Studio 1558 laptop. Some days ago my friend bought this laptop but after 1 mounth this laptop do some hank and I don't like this laptops body. If you want to buy a new laptop so you don't buy any dell laptop. I have a dell laptop. My laptop also do hank and it's take time for start 4 minutes. If I do any emergency work that time I feel I like a China Mobile phone I don't drive a laptop. So please don't buy this laptop. Although this laptop performance is good but I don't like this laptop.

The Dell Studio 1558 isn't perfect, but it's still an excellent, affordable multimedia machine that should be on your short list.It performs better than slightly more expansive system, although its gaming clout isn't quite up to snuff.However, the design, particularly the keyboard, is one of the most ergonomically sound we've tested in awhile, and the long battery means you can use it in various rooms of the house without having to worry about plugging it back in right away.This improve this then this laptop is very good.

Had used this lap top from DELL at our office as they provided us with theses worst laptops the price of the lap top is reasonable but the processor of this laptops are worse multitasking is very very tough using this laptop, it gets hanged up a lot of time while using it for long time and takes much time to charge the battery complete and drains the battery very fast, its a heavy laptop which is very hard to carry while travelling especially.

It takes guts to omit an optical drive, a media card reader, and VGA-Out, but the Dell Studio 14 does it with style.
