Tata Photon Max Wi-Fi Data Card

I am using Tata Photon Max Wifi Data from last couple of years. Earlier the device perform well, but later it shows lots of problems. Now the device cannot connect to the adaptar so I complained to the customer care, despite I have paid for the service and repair the device they haven't solve my problems till now. Customer cares are less skillful about their own products. Internet speed is below average and we cant get the connectivity with this device in outskirts areas. 3G plan internet plan comes expensive. They need to reduce its price now.

This dongle is absolute crap gadget. A company that promises 6.2 Mbps never gave more than 500 Kbps. Now for those who doesn't know that fact of Kbps, download speed is calculated in KBps(capital'B' for Byte and Small'b' for Bit). 8 Kbps is equal 1 KBps. For more details you can always Google. When I purchased it I always received a speed of 50-70 KBps. Seemed like I was using GPRS, But the worst part was when I suddenly started receiving 2-3 Kbps. Well yes, Kbps with small "b". It was my postpaid plan. I called up customers care and complained about the speed. They kept on saying "Tower Work Going On". for more than 6-7 weeks it was not working. Speed never went above 3 Kbps, yet bill came full 999+Tax. I was literally fed up,

Finally I had to switch to other network. After that I thought my device is kept unused so I will convert it to prepaid. So I went to Showroom at Park Street at kolkata. They told me it's not possible to convert it after the deactivation of Postpaid connection. I had to buy a new device for Prepaid service of Tata Photon Max WiFi., I told them that my device is kept unused, The executive told in mocking way that I should either keep it as show piece or I could sell my locked and unusable device on Ebay or Quikr. That comment was really mean.

I hated the service of Tata Photon Max.

If you are planning to buy Dongle then buy anything but not this one please.  And it  will be wise if you buy prepaid service so that if your service is not given well you can skip their payments.

I am living in jaipur and I have purchased an wifi datacard for my personal home use. so I went on an retailer shop and told them to gave me an wifi enabel data card. retailer shows me many datacards. but he told me that tata photon max wifi datacard is best for me. he told's me that its speed of browsing and downloading is upto 14 mbps and it has a strong network coverage in my location. this datacard also supports external micro sd cards. and this datacard runs on every type of operating system. so I have purchased this for my home use in rs 1399. and at one time, this datacard's wifi can connect with 5 devices. and with this I have got 1 month free data also. so after that I have started using this datacard in my home and connect it and start browsing data. I have noticed that its download and browsing maximum speed is upto 512 kbps and in every 25 to 30 minutes, it gots automatically disconnected. so I have contacted retailer about this problem. and he contacted from tata photon care regarding this issue and after that they says that its an network error and they solve it in maximum 72 hrs. and after 72 hrs, when I checked again, I seen that same problem again, so I have contacted retailr again about this issue. and he talks tata photon care but they don't give any satisfied answer. and in next 6 months same problem continues. and after that I have choosen airtel. so I don't like this datacard.

I had used tata photon max wi-fi data card . I heard lots of compliments about this data card but after using this data card I found that it is not able to fulfill all his compliments . it is just a waste of money .

its internet plans are very expensive that couldn't be affordable . it provides very poor signals . it is not good at all .

in villages and hill areas the signal become lost . it is not good, sometimes connections lost automatically that creats lots of problems .

My friends, never ever bought this tata photon wi fi data card, because there was many reasons.

this tata photon company a big problem is a customers services.

and after all this data card too expensive and it was not a useful devices for using.

more this data card not value in the market, other company data cards works good then this data card company.

speed very slow and not working regular, many users not connected in the one time, many times range not found and slow working.

more than not available any gurantee of the data card, never ever use thumis data card, it's a only null and void devices.

Just before the launch of Reliance Jio 4G services I was a customer of Photon max wifi. I bought the device at a price of Rs. 2000 and was on a 20 GB unlimited plan. This plan costs me around Rs. 1000+Service Tax. What I like the most with photon is the 20 GB unlimited plan at a very reasonable price. However, my actual data consumption was quite low after downloading numerous apps and games I used to consume hardly around 7-10 GB. The device is a plug and play device and doesn't require installing any software. Also, with this wifi device 5 person can connect at the same time.

I was happy with them but one thing that was a concern for me was the speed issue.

In their website they said it provides a speed of upto 6.2 Mbps. However, everytime I did a speed test I found that it is not even 1Mbps. It used to come hardly around 512 Mbps as download speed and 312 Mbps as upload speed. I called their customer service a number of time complaining about the speed and everytime they told me that your area comes under a high consumption data area but they will ask the Technical support to give me a call and sort the issue. The Technical support indeed call me a number of times but the speed issue remain the same.

The best thing about Tata Photon is their excellent customer service staff. I never found such polite and helping support team with any other company. When you talk about Tata and you take any of their product and services, the main reason of their success is they work towards the betterment of the society and for customer satisfaction and profit comes later on their business plan.

So, now the conclusion is when Jio is offering 7-18 Mbps speed at a much reasonable price than photon. So, there is no point continuing with them because I don't want to be frustrated with the videos, apps and pages buffering everytime.

This product is one of the efficient service providers in our city really good speed at cheap rate I am using this service this product is very good sometimes speed is not good but threw is the problem with downloading its payment facility is also good and awesome we can pay in both ways online as well as offline they only charge in installation I will highly recommended you this product service is very nice this product is much cheap than others companies product I am requesting to all must one visit for this product coustemer service is very nice they respond to all your complaint and solve your any problems I liked there overall believe me thanks

Soo before I start talking about this dongal. I wany to say you guys don't buy this dongal.

Buying this dongal is waste of money.

First of all I start this by tell about this dongal feature so let's start.

1) it support memory card.

2) it have led light to indicate so many things like signal strength if signal strenght is poor so we see green light if signal strenght is excellent so we see blue light .

3) it have sim card slot but there is no sim inside it .

4) it have speed upto 14 MBPS.

5) it has light which also indicate that the dongal is connected or not if it is connected then light is not blinking and if dongal is not connected so we see light started blinking.

One more thing which I want to tell you guys that the recharge plans of this dongal is soo bad even its unlimited plans is not good.

If you guys buy this dongal soo you had to soo much money to recharge it which is not worth it .

And if your unlimited plan data is over then the speed of dongal is very low you guys just pissed of with this dongal soo don't buy this dongal.

I had bought this Photon max wifi data card from Docomo few months back first of all the data card is very expensive it costed me nearly 2000 rupees when I bought this data card after usage of 6 month I found that the data card was not working properly where as the Docomo people had given me the guarantee of data card for one year when had asked them to replace data card there was no proper reply from Docomo and it was really disappointing, would never recommend this data car to any one, works only for few months and gives problem.

Tata photon max wi - fi data card internet service , friends I told you that never buying this worst data card.

this company data card company not in many cites , many times this data card speed is very slow.

for some times this company come in my cite but hurry to gone like that evil gotten evil spent.

really friends this company data card in one time many users not connected , and friends extremely poor all services of this company.

I took Tata Photon Max Wi Fi Data Card in Rs 1000/- and got connection activated for Rs 450/- monthly rental plan for 3GB data. The data card took long to install and their were certain complications also. The day my rental package started, the speed was fine but gradually connectivity failure happened regularly and the consumption also suddenly increased. Speed got pathetic. I called up customer care to complain and they after my rigorous follow up finally offered me 5GB monthly plan in Rs 500/- which means they increased 2GB on just add on money of Rs 50/-. The consecutive days speed also improved and connection worked fine.

Friends, I do not recommend this product and if you really want to go for it then first negotiate hard for monthly plan so that you get a good bargain.

I am in chennai and had been using photon max-wifi for more than 6 years.All through this period I never got speed above 600 kbps. Mostly well below the minimum promised speed of 512 kbps(100-300 kbps).I made repeated complaints more than 250 times and opted for cancellation many time.When ever I went for cancellation some one from higher level contacted me and convinced me that the issue would be solved soon, but never did anything positively.I spent more than 50, 000 Rs all thro' these years and finally OPTED out from this recently.Now only I realise that I had been cheated for so long and now I am using other service which gives speed @3MBPS and above. Tata photon people are for business without basic business ethics.

I like this TATA PHOTON MAX WIFI DATA CARD . Because main important thing about this data card it is dual functionality data card. First one is it is wireless and second one is It can give internet servire to more than 1 User. It is available in market in between 2000 Rs to 4000 Rs According to its specification. And it has downloading and uploding speed between 5 mbps to 15 Mbps. So speed is high as compare to other 3g daa card I have used 2 To 3 Times so I like this data card. It is available on tata docomo website and other online ecommerce site so eligiblity of product is very good.

I had purchased two years ago a tata photon max wifi data card with EC 315 HSIA modem supposed to provide with high speed internet on the move with wi fi sharing up to 5 devices with a download speed of 9.2 Mbps. But the connection is found unfit to even provide internet connection with slow speed to a single stationary device situated 100 meters away from the Docomo tower.The situation is so grave that to pay for the Docomo subscription through internet banking I have to depend on Railtel or BSNL connections that I have access to. Whenever the issue has been reported to the service provider they use to fool me with some futile routine exercises in disguise to make me feel like some effort is taken from their side to rectify the defect. But the issue continues to be unresolved for more than one year. Finally I have planned to close down the account and communicated the same to them. Let this be a warning to any one who can be hoodwinked by this service provider by promising the impossible while canvassing for a new connection.
