Frustrated, irritated and worst service

A frustrated  common man’s complaint, please help.


I bought Tata Docomo 3g e-stick (7.2Mbps) a week ago from Sangeetha mobiles, Jayanagar, Bangalore, with 10 GB data for 1 month validity.


The issues I was faced is:




  1. Speed: its max speed 7.2 mbps, but I got only max 500.00 kbps (that is only max) regular was only below 200 kbps. Many times I called customer care but not get any proper answer or solution.




  2. Second is on first recharge I got 10 gb data. But after a week I got message there is no sufficient data and its disconnected. Actually I used only 3 gb data, rest 7 gb data was not provided by Tata Docomo. Regarding this I called again Customer Care, as usual there is no proper answer. (And its like joke, on 28th Feb just afternoon 2.30 pm I called customer care and checked my balance, she told me I have 3 GB data, But evening around 4.00 pm when connecting dongle, I got message there is no sufficient balance and again called customer care, they said there is no balance!)






So, Its clear that TATA Tele services is cheating their customer. And I don’t know how and where I can register a complaint. As I am not fluent in English I tried my level best to write complaint in this website.


I don’t know whether my problem will solve here or not?


So, please help me to register a proper complaint in local customer court. I need information about process, address and free legal guidance for registering compliant in customer court against TATA Docomo and Customer Care.


As I am working as freelance designer internet is must for me. Its not for entertainment. Its a basic tool for me to earn minimum amount.


Finally, every people should know that their low level service and worst products. We should discuss these issues in any public media or social media. So many people will get to know how tata’s cheat poor people of India. This is not only my problem, lot of common people are facing these issues with TATA tele services and other service provider but there is no proper stage or guidance or help available.


Any NGO’s can help common people to solve these issues and allow us to use new technology to lead better life.

A big no no: Fraud company

If you are foolish then please take this connection. Customer care here doesn't have any sensible information. They have so many hidden clauses which they have policy to disclose over the phone only. I made the payment yesterday through SBI and the amount 1200 has got deducted. But till now after 24 hours, the account has not been updated in the tata docomo system. When I called customer care they told it ll take 48 hours. Yesterday they had told 2-24 hours.


As we know when we recharge our mobile accounts online, we get the balance immediately, but tata docomo has got a very old and sluggish software which does 2-min job in 2 days... I am not if tomorrow also I ll get internet connectivity. Enjoy...


I wish I had BSNL... though even its also not very good... but I am sure they ll not cheat people like tata docomo...

Pathetic Customer Service !!Think Twice !!

My experience with Docomo as a Photon user has been disgusting.Since I was re-locating to US, I went to their store and submitted a request for cancellation after clearing my dues off. 6 months after moving to the US, I recieve a legal notice from them saying I am to pay dues for the last 6 months for using thier services, when I had already left for US!


When I contacted customer care and informed them that I had already submitted a request for cancellation 6 mths back, their totally shocking  response was that they did not recieve anything!


This sort of disgusting service is expected from Docomo.Whenever I have visited their stores in Plamoodu, Trivandrum, Kerala, I always had to stand in the queue for 30 mins minimum to pay my bills.The staff there totally take the customers for a ride, by chit chatting amonst themseleves and attending to their personal calls on their cell phones.when customers queue up!These kind of incidents can easily be avoided if DOCOMO employees behave more responsbly and professionally rather than taking existing customers for granted!


This is daylight robbery of customers and I believe DOCOMO is now using these kinds of fraudulent measures to rip money off customers to sustain business! I have seen numerous such cases of DOCOMO sending legal notices to closed account customers, whenever Ive visited their stores to pay off my bills in the past.


Dear readers, please do think a 100 times before you opt for a service with them, as you could get the shocker of your life 5 or 10 years later  when you no longer are a DOCOMO customer and recieve a legal notice out of the blue!

Dirty Service & speed - Don't go for it, Please.

Pathetic service. The service reps don't have any sense on what they speak. At least the KG kids will speak sensibly. The max speed I get is 0.1 Mbps whereas the promised speed is up to 7Mbps.


I called the service guys for 4 days. but no use.  You will end up paying your bill for no usage of data. call me if you need more info. be away from these kind of providers. better is to go with airtel ACT now-a-days. lmk if you need more info

Legal notices by tata docomo causing irriation

I had disconnected my tata docomo card 2 and 1/2 yr back. off late for last 3 months I am receiving legal notices from court and advocates for non payment of dues of Rs 1183 from tata docomo.


When I have not used my card for 2 and 1/2 yrs before even sending me the detailed bill or telling me the mechanism of generation of this bill. I request everyone to be aware, if you take this connections you may get legal notices and harassed any time.

Buying Tata Docomo Wifi Hub worst decision !!

I, Puneet Sawhney,  bought your Tata Photon 3G Wifi Hub on 6th Dec 2012. Since I bought your connection I think I made the most foolish mistake of my life.


Firstly it took almost 20 days to get my connection ON that too after a lot of running around. I was so happy that I go the connection ON.


Secondly I can’t reach your Tata Photon 3G wifi hub customer care. My phone which is registered with your company i.e.  9811118516 and every time I call your customer care number i.e. 1800266121 it  automatically takes me to tata photon plus helpline who are unable to help me.


Thirdly so now I tried calling from my other phone line to your customer care ie. 1800266121. Now it would give me the options to select to talk to the wifi hub  department. I select the option no. 3 but then again it takes me to the tata photon plus helpline customer care people. I called atleast 35-40 times and it always takes me to your tata photon plus 2g customer care. This customer care denies to help me in any way. Why the call is being transferred to them when they cant or don’t want to help????? How on earth one can talk to the right people now??


Fourthly my 3G wifi hub shows a speed of 0.1 to 0.3 mbps whereas I have been promised a speed of 3.1 mbps.


Please let me know how and whom to speak regarding my complaints????

Bad Service Docomo 3G data card

I have been using the docomo 3g data card for a year and now from few months the service is so bad that you cant even count on it anymore.


I am not able to connect to internet because the stupid dialer always always keeps failing giving annoying message Connect Failed.


In the evening the matter is worse you cant even stay online for more than 10 mins and you will stop getting data from servers. And once disconnected no internet access message appears, , , pathetic TATA just insulting DOCOMO in INDIA.


How can you stay spending money for unlimited data and what you get is connect failed message at every attempt.


wake up docomo or the day will come when you people will be oly the person usin your docomo dongle to sh of your A

I have always had great respect for TATAs...Theres something seriously wrong with Tata Docomo 3G (wifi hub). I have been served huge bills.Its confusing and I could not figure out the reason behind it...Lost lots of money. I used a Tata Photon + dongle earlier and my bill amount would never go beyond 1100 - 1400 and I never managed to exhaust by 10 GB plan.


I switched to Tata Docomo 3G just for the comfort of wifi. I work after office, probably 2-3 hours. The bills are 8000 - 15000 Rs/month. Docomo representative recommended the same 10 GB plan and told me that I would have to pay 1250 Rs/month. After lots of digging around for months (almost 6 months), now I am told by the customer care execs that they charge Re 1/MB after I complete my 10 GB. When I was using Tata Photon +, my highest consumption was 7 gb.


I had also sent a request for service barring at 2000 Rs/month but the charges kept coming like torrents. Customer care people are not helpful either.


This business is run in secrecy.

TATA's I had some respect, but the billing of docomo, they are cheating customers(post paid), even after so many requests stick was not cancelled and they keep charging you every month, its a day light robbery, I dont know what to do now, can anybody let me know the next step.


I have even written to the appellate authority, they dont even reply to your emails.

Dont go for tata photon 3g connection the worst service i have ever seen, have high speed but what use when connection itself is not working, in a day 15hrs the connection wont be working, and regarding billing they just squeeze you. A heartily advice people dont buy tata photon 3g

Beware from Tata DoCoMo.  As they are giving plane in chip rate, but they are deducting money from your account for which you have not downloaded.


After making a call to customer care no one is bothered explain you about deduction and giving some full reasons.

Don't ever get a tata docomo postpaid. I got the 1gb postpaid plan just 2 months back and i am paying a huge price for my mistake.They will call you a million times till you get the connection. After the sale they take you for a ride. Tata docomo will clearly con you with its postpaid billing and charges like rental charges service vat and whatnot. I got net connection from another subscriber and I am getting the expected low cost bill . Customer service just tells you stories and con you leaving you no choice but to pay the humongous bills and extra payment delay charges. I am lodging a complaint on akosha.


I think even other customers are facing this issue with tata docomo billing. I took a tata docomo postpaid connection 1GB plan 250 rs per month 2 months back and I am ending up paying humongous bills with irrelevant data charges rental and service tax charges someone better take task of these money suckers. It was a total waste of time and money and in just 2 3 months they have conned me with about 2800 rs money including the cost price of the dongle.

Actually the drop down doesn't give me existing Tata Indicom landlines which have now become Tata Docomo.


Totally shameful for Tata as a brand, we are die Tata brand lovers since we have a lot of people itself working with TATA's from the Hydroelectric field to Steel. We have been Tata Land Line owners for the past decade for our offices, of recent there have been changes in their offices in Pune whether is broadband or landline, with the result drop boxes are either not been removed or no instruction on them that they are obsolete.


Recently both for broadband and landline after cheques have been dropped subsequently debited from resp banks have services have been discontinued without a warning. Does being a paying customer for more than decade with Tata have no history of the customer. If there are shifting of premises problems from your side why should we suffer? Had it been vice versa i.e., if customer had defaulted payment would the service provider continue service.


Why should we (I say we bECAUSE these are company landlines) want to continue to be loyal customers of Tata when there is so much of competition in this field.


Discontinuance of services is loss to companies(in this time when business are suffering due the recession).


Who pays for the loss? Plus there are no proper Customer Service numbers or any online service regarding the status in this era.


This absolute breach of trust !!! I guess in today's world 'TRUST" has no meaning.


We are also not from this generation and belong to earlier generation who would like to continue a service provider further because of the TRUST and NAME.

Poor recharge voucher options

I have opted for recharge of Rs. 350 and was promised 1.5 GB for period of 30 days. But the service was abruptly cancelled after 200 MB. Though its 10 days since complaint is lodged.


There is no communication or information as to when this ordeal will get resolved

The transfer mess and lousy customer service

I was with tata photon for over a year.


first few months I had problems with speed which was resolved after sometime. After one year I thought of changing plans . I was told I could change plans only the next bill cycle . I was interested in having a phone & internet under one bill so I managed to move elsewhere. I told tata photon rep I wanted to cancel .he suggested I put the device in safe custody and transfer it to someone else. so I put in safe custody .I, then went to my indira nagar office to transfer to my friend in Mid April.Showed them a letter saying I wanted to transfer to my friends.he had some proof missing so he had to go again 3 times to submit proofs. they even called asking to reactivate the device


So the transfer could be done .he had to go somewhere but he felt the transfer was done . By mid may I started getting mails saying I had outstanding on my tata photon.i informed the call center executive that I did not have the device in my possession .I gave them my friends mobile no. they called him as well .Saying the transfer had not gone through as some document was missing.He dealt with them , he even went to their office again in June and found some document had been misplaced as the address verification had not happened .


I mailed them many times saying the device was not me so stop sending outstanding notice. In the last few days, I have received a collection notice and a legal notice for a device I don't have with me. Now I have to file legal notice against tata communications to protect my rights..


Docomo Wireless - ZTE MF631 USB dongle.

I see a LOT of negative feedback on TATA's wireless solutions. I would like everyone to try out TATA DOCOMO's USB 3G Card. Its awesome. Please note, I am talking about a specific ZTE 3G card (with DOCOMO connection) that it ZTE MF 361. My room mate has this with 5 GB plan (Rs1000/month) and believe me its awesome. the speed, connectivity is brilliant, I haven't used it in Roaming so cant say on that but in home network its awesome. I would suggest if you want to go for a 3G USB card go for this model only (with or without network), its awesome. I am happy.

Junk product, cheating company

Just bought this card for my house and it is awful - a complete waste of money because it does not work consistently. It has the following problems;


a) it goes into sleep mode every few minutes if there is no usage and then you have to go across and press the button to get it back on


b) the connection is poor and you have to keep switching it off and on to get the connection going again


c) the speed is not what is claimed but really slow


Overall, I am feeling cheated within a few weeks of purchase. Don"t touch the tata docomo wireless card.

I buy this few time days back at promise of 3-5 Mbps but the isp speed is worst.


simply makes fool on name of 3G.You will never get speed more than 1 Mbps.


You will get   frustration because of low speed. Also it takes 10-15 min to start the service.


Giving more trouble to connect. The customer care is also not responsive, they don’t receive the complaint nicely and they take 4 days to fix the issue


Simply it sucks.


So, I again shifted to airtel broadband.

UNFAIR to wash out 2G when I activate 3G

My number 8867584042 . Went for 3G  plan @ Rs 90 for 100 MB when my 2G GPRS plan had 30 more days validity. I could not distinguish 3G speed from that of 2G. So I deactivated 3G plan within 3-4 days once 100 MB was consumed. Now the problem was they invalidated my 2G by default. I lost 65 rs which I paid for 2G GPRS plan without using and when there was 3 weeks more of validity period. This is very  UNFAIR to wash out 2G. At least they should credit the money back what I paid for 2G  on pro rata basis.


I won't recommend anyone to go for 3G in Docomo which is not any better than 2G.. Dont pay more and lose your money, you won't find a difference.


Poorest 3G service provider(pay bill for 0 speed)

Had been using Tata Docomo 3G dongle since March-2011. Initially it had been giving an average speed of 3Mbps or more for my plan 3.6Mbps and 1250/month but since Sep-2011 It started giving me trouble and the scenario become so pathetic I use to get speed less than 1Mbps and peak hours like evening 7 to 11PM(as working people we only serf during this time being at home) I use to get less speed ranging( 0.1 Mbps to 0.4Mbps).


So I raised customer care complained and sent them mail too.


In response Docomo technical team visited my place 3 times in one and half months, but in vain they couldn't rectify the problem and they told because of heavy load you wont be able to get this point of time same as Sat and Sunday whole day. and this took me around one and half month to come to conclusion from technical team. and they closed the call without informing me.


After this I decided to close the connection so I placed request and they canceled it in 2nd month. So even if I am not able to use the connection they have charged me with a bill of RS- 3052 for last 2 and half months.


During this course of time few personality called me from DoComo for taking the connection back and they will give me discount of from the amount 3052, and they assure me in Koramangala, signal strength become good nowadays. I got assured for next one month rental free service in that I'v shown interest and they told soon they will get back to me.


But so far none contacted me except once they sent recovery agent to my house. and now a legal notice from
