I am Iqara customer for domestic starter plan. I got the connection working on my comuter on 05th October, 2005.


On 08th October, I lost the connectivity for which, I compained at your central help line. I got the answer that the problem shall be attanded within 24 hours.


I again called on 09th, I was told it may take upto 48 hours to resolve customet complaints.


I again called on 10th, I was told that surely somebody will visit my instalation place on before 11th.


I again called on 11th to find out that it is holiday onm 12th, so the problem can be resolves on 13th.


I am going to call again in the evening today, I do not what to expect now.


The problem is not resolved yet.


I am totally at pains to have hired such a bad company, which is so slippery on promises made by ''poor'' call center employees

After waiting for 4 months for the connection to be made, I demanded a refund. It has been a year now and there is no sign of any. The company has pure contempt for the consumer. Their employees laugh off the complaints and bang the phone on you. THey seem to be quite at peace due to the fact that there is no medium for consumers to get back at the company in India and also because they do not expect anyone to take them to court for Rs 500.


The employee who initially contacted me has taken no responsibility for the refund and the department he directed me to does not respond either.


Its definitely not worth it even if the service were good as you can now get a much better spearhead unlimited connection for less.


They have at several times promised to refund my money within a week but they have intentionally and frivolously ignored my request.


The only option is to publicise their activities or take them to court.

Think of Iqara if you have lots of time (never depend on this connection if you are 'must surfing personality'), lots of patience, cool mind. People like its speed because before iqara they used to dial up internet. So when they first use iqara they are very impressed by its speed, but in real world if you compare with another product, you will find that the speed gimmick is bullshit. If you have any problem then it will take minimum 15 days. I have faced following problem and it has been resolved between 15 to 60 days of interval or never solved. 1)getting connection-15days 2)cabling-20days 3)pinning of cable after cabling5days 4)low speed 5)change of plan{i move to 1 gb plan where it require to be other type of cable and a modem} 6)after changing plan activating my new plan-2months 7)getting again new cabling-1month 8)same point 2,3,4 repeat.------ My advice: 1) go for iqara only if you have no option. 2) Keep another connection i.e. dialup ready to use in place of iqara. 3) Don’t call the so called call center. Just call to your local city office for 2 time and then visit your self, keep shouting in office (as they are thick skinned) create danger atmosphere in their office then your problem might solve.


Finally I discontinue Iqara and acquire BSNL Data One. Here is compression according to my experience.


Iqara: Download Speed-Never 256kbps with/without dedicated modem, Upload speed-60 kbps, Installation time-7 Days, Frequency of problem-once a 15 days(I use iqara for 1 year), Resolution time-7-10 day , Customer care-3 marks out of 5, Technical help-1 mark out of 5


Data One: Download speed-Always, Minimum 256 kbps, Upload speed-50 kbps, Installation time-7 days, Frequency of problem-Once in 6 months (I am using data one since 6 months),Resolution time-3 to 4 days, Customer care-3 marks out of 5, Technical help-3 marks out of 5

I am the customer of Iqara since 8th Sep 2005. I applied for a 128 kbps line SME connection on 29th Aug 2005. I am using the Iqara since, 8th Sep 2005. To tell the truth, my phone is constantly engaged in dialing to Iqara marketing executive, service personnel, technical engineer, technical manager, administrative manager, call centre and so on, from 8th Sep 2005. To the best of my knowledge, I swear an international company like Iqara paying money for the employees for sleeping at the office. They are enjoying their telephone connections and cellulars for other purposes, not for service. My problem is, booking a 128 kbps enterprise line, I am getting 4 kbps. And during the day doesn't work for 8 hours. Now, you tell me, are you satisfued with the way of service, Iqara going to provide you. I am shutting down my internet centre, by 8th October 2005. Tell me now, the Iqara service which made me loose 3 lakhs rupees and thousands of customers beleif on me, is okey for you? then go head. have an iqara connection.. loose money...loose business


For seeking help to solve the problem with Iqara to get 128 Kbps speed

Well to begin with ... the customer service is the most horrible of all the customer service I have ever seen .... like most of the other reviews on this site ... mine is no different ..... same problems repeated over and over again ...


Initially the connection was promised in a week or two and after repeated enquires , connection was finally given after more than a month ....


But the problems did not stop here ... I had opted for the MB package since my use is limited to normal net use and less of downloading ... the connection gets disrupted very frequently and I end up using dial up more that my broadband connection !!!!!! ..... and since after 10pm there is a discount of 50% on the mb, I had opted for this plan . 500 mb for 993 RS with a validity of 1 year.


Whenever the net is down and u call the customer service, they go thru the same crap like check ur connection, shutdown ur pc, remove the cable reattach and stuff...


then they say their technical team will come to check the problem and they dont turn up for 3-4 days .... and even if they do they say we had come on so and so day and no one was in the house as if we will wait for them only ....


It works for some time then again its down in 2 days .. this has been the situation for the past 3 months now. During the week ends is the worst ... thats the time when u frequently use ur net ... and its frustrating when such think occurs...


I definitely do no recommend this to anyone. So please check out the other ones.


If only I had gone thru some of sites like these before opting for this service.

Hi I just wanted to tell u about bulldag BB, I have been using it for the last one year and its is just terrific. A little fidley when u set it up but after that its hassle frees. what I suggests is that once you have signeds ups to its, that you leave the settigns alone as if it goes bad it takes absolutelys ages for the tech s supports to sorts its outs. alsos it is a really good idea to write downs the supports numbersa nd phones numbers and passwords etcectere as when u eanting these they are normally hards to find adding to your upsets


but overalls the bulldoags is good valies for moneys but likes all it its worths seeing the offers arounds every nows and thens to sees if you are still getting the bestest price around coupled wiuth the hassle factor costs of changings to anohters providers

Following are the words which even not capable of explaining the problems I have faced with iqara, plus wich try to explain the service.

my bad days stared on 24th may 2005 when I gave away my dial up and bought iqara.


for 1st day it wokrd well. but the fact behind it is that, so called representative came to my place took money from me,n promiessed me to give me connection in 7-8 working days. which after 10-15 calles to CC I got after 20 working days.


from 2nd day of service it started failing, atleast alternate days I used to call CC , so finally for the price of a month my internet worked for 15 days only! n no compensation of days was given.next 10 days it worked well so I recomended it to my friend,from whome they took money, never gave a connection, n still after 3 months havnt returned her money!! n no connection!!


with moderate failures and 10-15 calls to CC per month it finaly stopped working on 11th august.


since that day I am calling there CC and pune office regularly, its 5th september,


the internet is not working since that day,


the CC as well as pune office people are very arogant, specially Mr. Khedkar from pune office is still promissing me everyday that my internet will start working in 24 hrs!!! I dont know how these people count hrs.


mean while I applied for bsnl broadband,which I got in 10 days, n working perfectly for last 10 days but no comments about it as long as I dont use it for long I come to any conclusion.


now the best part is I am getting phone calls from CC to renew my account which is still not working!!!!


finally I have applied for refund yesterday, but I am sure that I am not gonna get it as long as I dont kick their asses, because my friend have not got her refund for last 3 months just because they r not capable of giving the connection!! but capable of collecting money and running away with it.


people like Mr.khedkar are working with n for iqara, I doubt there progress.


i have sworn that in future I will not let anyone take the iqara connection to whom I know.. why unnecessary ask people to buy a headeach!!!!


so final word is IQARA SUCKS!!!

Best Affordable 256kbps unlimited connection

I bought my PC in early June and was looking for an affordable 256kbps unlimited connection. BSNLs unlimited offer was coming to an end by June and I decided to go for BSNL if the offer is extended but fortunately or unfortunately BSNL did not extend the offer. Excluding the local players, who dont have a good track record for the promised speed or support, none of the plans from Sify, Reliance, Tata or Airtel enthused me. Normally I lookup MouthShut before I make up my mind but luckily this time around I didnt and I am glad for that. Otherwise I would never have gone for Iqara what with the poor reviews that it got from MouthShut community. Since I download a lot the Iqara Angel Night Surfing Plan which allows for browsing between 10pm and 10am on all days except on sunday when you can browse the whole day and priced at Rs. 551/- interested me. In the first week of July I called up Iqara Customer Care and a guy turned up the next day and after paying the Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 750/- towards installation charges and Rs. 750/- towards one time modem rent)non refundable charges along with the first month in advance charge of Rs 551/- and filling the necessary forms I got the connection within seven work days as promised. The connection was via cable to a Motorola modem and then to my system network card. Now I dont know if it is technically a leased line but it is as good as a leased line. I always get a constant download speed of 30kb and in almost one and a half month of usage there never was a downtime or drop in speed. As for paying the monthly charges someone from Hy-Tech Services, seemingly channel partners of Iqara, called me and turned up and I paid the amount. The next day I got disconnected and on calling the customer care was informed that the payment was not updated and I have to wait until next day as they dont work on a Sunday to sort it out. I was also told that I can pay the amount online through a Visa or Master credit card. I then called up Hy-Tech Services and luckily for me they were working on a Sunday and after asking my Iqara login and password they assured me that the connection will be restored in half an hour and the connection was indeed restored.


If you are in Hyderabad and looking for a good affordable unlimited 256kbps connection and if the 12hours a day is ok with you then go for Iqara. If you want to be online 24hrs then they have a 256kbps plan with a download limit of 1GB around Rs. 500/- per month. Now if only I could get the unlimited 24 hrs!!! Some wish thinking huh?

I have been using Iqara for the past 10 months. The one time installation charge was Rs 995 which included 330MB of download. Subsequent to this I went in for 500MB plan with one year validity which was costing Rs 1146 including all taxes. I use about 8hrs internet every day and my monthly usage comes to about 600MB. This option proved to be expensive for my type of usage especially when one looks at options from BSNL and Bharti which were offering 1GB per month at R500+R100 modem rental+taxes. I checked up with Iqara and they were having simillar plan of 1GB download with one month validity with identical charges. In this case they dedicate a cable modem set to 256KBPS. In the earlier case the modem was shared with a promissed speed of 128KBPS. I have been using the 1 GB plan for the past 3 months and am quite happy with the price/performance.


I use the net connection for online stock trading and hence reliability and performance of the net are very important for me. What I like most about Iqara's broadband connection is its reliability. In the last 10 months I have never faced any downtime or technicall difficulties. The connection speed is satisfactory most of the times though it tends to be slower during market hours ie from 10AM to 3:30PM. I frequently measure the speed using some of the standard sites like zdnet which provide tools for measuring the speed. The speed varies from 40-50KBPS to 350KBPS. Large downloads are uniformly fast most of the time giving 23Kbytes/sec to as high as 43Kbytes/sec.


I hardly needed any support from Iqara (normally I need their support only for renewals. Though Iqara provides an online renewal facility through credit cards or net banking it never worked for me. I had to do renewal every month through their support network. The renewal team is quite prompt in reminding and smoothly does the renewals and hence online renewal not working has become a minor irritant) and faced no difficulty so far in contacting customer support and never had to wait listening to music to talk to them.


Overall I would rate Iqara 4.5 on a scale of 1-5 (5 being excellent) with major positives being Reliability, cost, customer service and areas for improvement being speed of connection

The technical and online people even those who are incharge of control room activities are unawares of the line down status.The call center is worst .No tech support online they just take the call and forward the same to Technical deptt.Lots of promises are made by visting technicians but do not believe anything.Thane has fully furnished office but unmanned in totality.Thus overall no technical support for the most technicallly oriented service.


Add to above everytime when the llink is down you have to request the team to credit the additional days into your account.As if you are at their mercy.They claim it tobe 256KBPS but many times the connection is worst that a dial up.There was a time when I had put rediffmail in the address bar and the home page opened after 30 mins!!!!!!!.


I guess they have some technical issues with they themselves are unable to find and resolve.It just goes on a trial and error basis.

I am an Iqara ''delight unlimited customer'' . I was worried about the quality of Iqara broadband connections when I read the reviews at mouthshut but after being an Iqara customer I feel that all of that (the reviews) is not entirely true ..


The installation was quite quick and there was no major problem getting the conection up and running . The speeds are good too!


To my delight , when I called up iqara regarding a minor problem about my net speed, iwas redirected to the iqara support centre which now handles all queries from the customers and their response was quick.


I feel that for the speeds provided , and the ''always ON'' connectivity provided, the rates are quite reasonable.


The worst part in India is people expect top quality service at extremely low rates . This is not possible till we generate enough local content and the global connectivity prices slump. All in all I find Iqara a good choice for broadband connectivity in india .


I suggest if you are a net freak/ programmer/ computer science student then you should opt in for an always on connection ..

Rarely have I come across a case of reverse mindset happening with reference to a foreign Company.


The Company I am referring to is Iqara Broadband Internet service provider.The service is provided by British Gas. The company taken over by them was called Gujarat Gas, which was jointly owned by Mafatlals & Gujarat Government.


They started their operation of providing broadband services from Surat, where their existing infrastructure of piped gas facility came in handy for launching the broadband facilities.


When I needed a net connection, I did a lot of homework to check out, who would give me better service, to top it all which service provider had the cable network in place to provide me with net connectivity. I found out that Iqara had the existing cable network in place to provide me with the broadband facility.


I did some preliminary inquiries with the computer vendors etc., to check out their services; since they were new I was told they would provide good service, and the net speed was good but a bit expensive.


I opted for the services of Iqara, the service was prompt with an executive coming to my residence, he explained to me about the services and the one time cabling cost that I would have to incur for getting the cable from the terrace to my flat etc., He also promptly gave me his mobile no., to call up in case of any clarification, and he would come down to rectify any problem that I faced.


That was the only time I saw the executive, then the executive never came back to collect renewals or even to check whether I was satisfied with their service.


Now for the list of woes that I have faced after getting Iqara connection


1) Their call center services are based in Surat, and if I have any problem they give me their local office no. to call up


2) Their local office stops functioning after 6pm


3) Unfortunately all my problems had happened on Saturdays and I was given a reply that they do not work on Sundays


4) Most of the time when I have called their office, I have been put on hold, or my line got transferred to some 3 to 4 people, before one person accepting the problem and giving a suitable reply


5) At times the broadband connection does not accept any net address associated with google server.


6) Renewals are not intimated before hand and one fine day you find, you don’t have your net connection


7) Even after getting the intimation for renewals (which has been started by them recently) you have to follow up with them for making payment.


8) After getting your MBs renewed, you have to hope like hell that your free MBs get credited to your account as promised to you within 48 hrs.


9) Any error that occurs on your connection – you have to pray to God that it should be a minor one or else you will be without net connection for days to come ---unless you keep reminding them that your problem has not got rectified.


10) If their connectivity is getting hampered by some technical problem – they do not have the courtesy to call up and let us know, how long it will take to rectify the problem.


For me I had to opt for the service, since there were no service providers having cable network in my area. My sincere advice is do not go for their service unless and until you are driven to the wall. The only saving grace is that their net connectivity speed is good.


Some advice for Iqara :


1) When you are running a broadband service, you should be providing 24hr., service, 7days a week.


2) You should be constantly checking out with your current subscribers, their views on the service.


3) Just by keeping a 24hr call center does not suffice. You need to provide the back up that is required for better service.


4) Renewal connections are outsourced; hence we do not know which executive to call in case of any problem.


5) Your call center keeps giving phone nos., which is not accessible – is it not the responsibility of the call center to forward the complaint to the concerned person – and the concerned person calling me up to check out my problem.


Since British Gas took over a joint sector company, I think it still has the government mindset running in it. Who says we can’t change the thinking in a foreign company.

False promises,Badd customer service,inefficient employees,really quick in collectin money but extremely bad at delivering the promised service infact they never reach the stage of delivering it!!...these are few charecteristics of '''The''' IQARA BROADBAND This is what happened,we called IQARA after seeing an advertisement of theirs which sounded really exicting with 1GB download limit,competative plan fee,security deposit waiver,& most important the promise of a connection o ur home/office in 2 working days time.so next day there was a representative who came along our home gave us the details,v fell for the good marketing talks&ofcourse we were not aware that you shouldnt be trusting IQARA or their servicemen who after taking a cheque disappeared,so next2 days of ours were spent in tracking the officials,who were attending to our calls atleast on the first day but stopped taking them from the second.Now we are in this profession where we keep travellin & we gave them3 more days to work it out.After we got back,another3 days tracking& hide & seek,not taking the calls,so much so even on the landline in the office,thanks to caller id on it,v landed into the head office here in chennai,Threated to lodge a police complain,demanded to meet the head,who became convineintly unwell& excused himself from not meeting us...but the BOTTOM LINE is that we did manage to get our money back. Having spent the last few days tracking the whereabouts of my New,naya navela,fassst internet connection that would open the window of the world wide web for me at the ease of my home&only getting dissappointment in return I decided to type down this time consuming&unfruitful experience of mine into words so that others have a choice atleast not to go through what I went through.A STRICT no no,unless for some unexplainable reason you want to loose the peace of ur mind. Few things to remember when goin in for the connection with IQARA NEVER FALL FOR THEIR 2 WORKING DAY CONNECTION MARKETING TALK if you are in urgent need of a internet connection for completing a project or so,play safe & go in for another broadband service provider unless you dont have another choice (that was my case) Always talk bout a bargain if the connection doesnt come in at the promised time&i bet you wil get what you bargained for as there is no way that their 2 day connection philosophy works,its just all talk,as I would like to put they sure talk the talk but they dont walk the talk... Also you should try to chalk a bargain like a modem deposit refund,which currently is not refundable or plan fee waiver for the first month. Please dont let them get away with ur hard earned money,as its just not right,take out some time,go to their office,ofcourse taking an appoinment wil not work as that wont be kept up(as was in my case),so I suggest barge into their office,DEMAND to meet the head-probably threaten them of lodging a police complain&i promise you wil get ur money back cos thats how I got mine back!After all you worked hard to earn it (i Assume-cos I did!!) So DONT JUST LET IT GO,YOU CAN BE FOOLED ONCE BUT LET THEM NOT TAKE YOUR MONEY & FOOL YOU TWICE as it has happened in many a cases & I am sure I have a big group out there who would agree!! Check whether there is connectivity in your area,confirm it by getting a subscriber's number who is probably living next door,same block or locale!these words of wisdom come from my mouth today becos I learnt from my experience with IQARA,& sure thing it has made me smarter subscriber!

Yep! the title says everything. Iqara Broadband Rocks.


Here's why,


3 years ago I had an dialup internet connection and I badly wanted to download a game demo called age of empires rise of rome. The demo was 23 MBs in size. and my dialup was giving me 4KBps speed. so I thought okay maybe if I sit for 13 hourrs consecutively I might be able to download it and it started downloading, 8 hours gone and BAMMM!!! suddenly it disconnected for no reason. So I started the download again and to my anger it started again from the start.


So the conclusion, I wasted 8 hours on the internet without any productivity and not to mention the phone bill. Yipes!!!!. So I was really fed up and began thinking that maybe I have to go live in another cOOl country if I have to download anything significant.


and then one guy came to my house from Iqara broadband, and started describing about the various plans,it all seemed too good to be true but I selected a plan which was suitable for me and gave him the go ahead signal. I had selected a Night angel plan with 256kbps!!!!! (32KBps download speed) and only 550 rs per month including taxes (wonderful!!!) and not to mention unlimited downloads


(I must be dreaming!!!). Note : (10 PM to 10 AM on weekdays and free on Sundays!!!)


So after 3 days, 4 guys did the necessary wiring and the next day modem was installed near my computer (modem rent 800rs 1 time only). the engineer guy said that 10PM the connection will start. ok , since I have to go college and classes I have no time in the day so the plan is extremely suitable for me. then, I came home in the night after a normal painful class (chemistry shit!!!).


on my way home I was dreaming about the 32 KBps speed. was it really true?


then, I started my computer at 10.00PM and to my surprise Hotmail.com opened really quickly!!! (internet is continously on) and then I went to Coolgoose.com to download a song to check the speed and yippeee!!! 5MB song downloaded in 2 minutes and it would have taken 2 hours to download 5 MB in a dialup connection. and the speed was also about 30KBps as promised. (great!!!)


Here's my latest achievement, I downloaded a full version game called Half - life 2 from the internet in 6-7 Hours (Half - Life 2 = 1GB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) now, I play most of the multiplayer games on the net without Lag.


I just dont know what more to write, I am just too happy!!!


I Hope my review might have influenced some needy people who are looking for a broadband connection with a Price - Performance Ratio.

I applied for a connection on 8th of October 2004.


These guys promptly disappeared with my money and calls to the call center were of no use.


Only a personal visit to their office with threats of taking them to consumer court finally got my account working on 24 December.


Now the connection works - SOMETIMES.


Every other day the modem refuses to connect with their server and I get a message saying Connecting via WAN Miniport PPPOE and then nothing.


I recently found out that Iqara is a British company.


The Brits ruled us for more than a hundred years and dealt out shoddy goods to us.


I see that they are still at it. Have been kicking myself for paying money to a Brit company - who still insist on treating customers in this country like coolies or natives.


I am quite glad that Indian BPOs are taking away Brit jobs these days :-)


Guys - save yourselves some trouble - try DSL or Dataone


These guys are incompetent.

On one bright Sunday morning, I saw a bunch of people gathered around my building passage, I came down to inquire abt what was this rush for. I came to now that Iqara Broadband was conducting a demo for the society members for promoting their internet service.


Fine, I said lets give it a try so I sat on the computer and wooo, there u go, the speed was just too fast around 256kbps and that mind gobbling speed was like a jet for me coz' I was using my local cable internet which was just a poor 40kbps in front of it.


Then getting impressed by the speed I booked a package of 256MB of 3 months validity for a whopping rs 500/-,whopping because my cable guy gave me unlimited internet @ rs 350/- per month. And after booking the package 20 days later a guy turned up for installation of wiring(was promised of 4 days).


He did the wiring and after the wiring was done again after 10 days 2 guys came up for the software installation and the internet service started exactly after a month I booked for it! Now is Iqara this much busy to make their customers wait for a month?


Anyway, it all started when the pack got activated, before purchasing the pack I was told that 2-3 MB would be deducted for 1 hour of internet usage and around 5 MB for 1 hour of yahoo messenger usage.


Then the guy who came for wiring told the around 6-8 MB for internet and 10MB for Yahoo messenger will be consumed, and when the software installation guys came they had their own story, the told that 12-15 MB for internet and same 10Mb for yahoo mess. But the practical thing was far away from the said thing. Internet consumed 20MB per hour and yahoo messenger consumed a heavy 3-4Mb per minute, can u imagine per minute????????


As days passed by the Mb's started reducing, but the validity was 3 months and the pack did not survive even for a week, immediately I resumed my cable fellow back, and then same old story.


Iqara guys still keep on calling for renewal, despite of refusal several times they do not stop calling, I don?t know what substance on earth they r made of!!! They asked for reason, I told them that mb consumption is quite high, so they told me to take unlimited plan prices at Rs.964/- per month ,price as high as thrice my cable guy was charging me, a mere rs.350/-........................


So guys don?t go on the brand name,

I opted for Iqara broadband almost 3 months ago. I have both Windows NT and XP.


Iqara works great with XP, the downloading speed is very fast and the connectivity is good. But if you have an NT OS I would suggest not to go for Iqara since the connectivity is slow. Moreover, you will not be able to login to sites like ICICI, UTI etc, ie, bank sites. Even e-mail websites cannot be opened properly. But if your OS is not NT, then I would strongly suggest you to go for Iqara.


The unlimited package is the best one. I am currently using the 225 MB package which costs 550/-, but ideally the Unlimted package is the best which costs around 800/- per month. You can even renew your account online with a 5% discount using credit card or netbanking of specified banks. The technical support of the Iqara team is also good.

Iqara offers night surfing service call ?Angle Plan?


which can be operate in time between 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. okay agree?..!


Very nice plan and Idea is excellent?!


It is comparable with ?VSNL 128kbps ?in price with 256kbps?..! Again Excellent; As person can use his internet in night time at home; so it is relevant.


Now Question is if every thing is fine & planned;


What is my problem as customer?


When a company offer service in night time there must be a local service provider ?who is answerable or available to serve its client for their problem occur in the time when they are working online.


Instead of giving their customer informed by Voice reply that ?Our time to attend complaints is from morning 9 am to 11 pm? ..Is it Appropriate?? ?


Oh...It is very good; you have a Call Centre Facility (hummm?.operated from Mumbai?..)


No use for Clients from Surat in night after 10:00 pm....!!!??only incoming attender end with long digit Complaint Ticket Number (CTN).


Don't you think;Company must have Local attender ?..............Even administration of such a big (MNC) company is not aware for such a small requirement???.?


This is the present situation whereby I am facing trouble with Iqara.

Iqara: Worst Ever ISP I have ever used

After enjoying super broadband service in Singapore last 5 years. Recently when I returned to India, I wanted a broadband connection at home.


To my horror, situation here is so pathetic!! In my area Aundh pune it seemed to have only one service provider iqara (monopoly). Sify wasn?t there, BSNL started DSL just now. So I subscribed to Iqara unlimited plan. In my Opinion worst ever ISP service I have seen. Here are some highlights of pathetic service provider.


? They promise that Installation will be done in week time but they take 3-4 weeks.


? They call 40/64 kbps unlimited connection a broadband and charge 900 for 40 kbps connection is really a joke.


? These guys call themselves a UK based best ISP provider.


? Rob customers by charging 1600 Installation charges ( I don?t know what the heck is installation charges and it seems that every service use this term to rob customers)


? At least couple of hour?s downtime every day.


? Download speed of 2 kbps is a joke and many time download stops with error connection with the server was reset. Well you gotta download again.


? When change a plan you gotta wait for at least 7 days to resume the services , In which world these people are living?


? When you lodge complain to CC, technician calls you after 2 days and ask you to do basic trouble shooting, like restart machine, modem!! Common broadband users are not that idiots.


? Last month when my connection broke down I lodged complain to CS. It took three days for them to discover that someone has cut the cable and took another 3 days to fix it. * Sigh*. At the same time Guys came to me for renewal as service was to finish in 2 days time. Sooo when connection established they demanded that I must renew and pay upfront then only I can use the service. But then how about my 7 days of disruption of service?????? These guys really suck!!


Now Sify and BSNL is availed since last month. I didn?t bother to change the provider since it takes another 8 days to resume the services and anyway I will be moving to NY soon so I wont be needed any service. Overall I think there is terribly wrong with the service providers in India. 900 rs for 40 kbps connection is looting and nothing else.


When there is cheap labor available and operating cost is so low, I just do not understand why these people are robbing customers. These guys wont enjoy it long for sure. Sometimes word of mouth is quite powerful and these players will pay the price when better alternatives are available.


I really feel for users in India


But lets hope that we get better service in future, which is value for money.

Iqara bradband is the worst service provider

I am from hyderabad. I have applied for trial offer from Iqara Broadband under the scheme ''999-no installation charges''. It's been more than 10 days and I still haven't got the connection.


When I called them 10 days before for connection,the agent promising me to give the connection within days.But now when I callthem up for it they are saying that I will get connection within one day giving some silly reasons.


Yesterday when I was calling the agents,they were not recieving the call.


The customer care does not answer properly.


I would suggestyou do not fall for the offers provided by iqara.


I feel it is the worst service provider, giving nil customer satisfaction or even the connection for that matter.
