Bplnet Dial up

This is one ISP that is no longer visible in Bombay.

It started with a flourish but has vanished without a trace.

It did show promising results being relatively new and having no customers to cause any slow down. There were no users so their bandwidth was totally free and so I found their speeds great. But of late they are not to be seen nor heard of.

In the shake down of the ISP market, many players have been forced to shut down, notable among them are PACIFIC Internet, BPLnet, Tring Tring from Aptech, amongst many others.

The only ones left standing are Satyam(who are planning to sell out sooner or later)Mantra( who too seem to be fast dissapearing from Bombay)ROLTAnet(the only substantial player) TATAnova( a new entrant-but doing well)NOWInternet(increased their prices but still delivering great speeds)

Switching from established Internet Services like VSNL, MTNL, etc to Bplnet is good for a while to test the difference in technologies and utilities.At some places Bplnet starter kit is easily available. Overall installation procedure is good and beautiful look of dialer.....but the registration?.....this is bit troublesome.

However, once through, all is hoped to go well. If I have to copmare Bplnet with services like Satyam......Bplnet is a good choice..smmoth surfing, good speed.....

Worth trying for a change.

I switched from Satyam to Bplnet couple of months back and I think it was a good choice. The Bplnet account CD is available off the shelf (location:Cochin). The installation of the ISP dialer was a breeze and the dialer looks classy. The registration process was little troublesome but after that everything went smooth. I had some trouble with my registration and the net-assist(bplnet help centre) guys helped me.

After registration, my surfing was smooth and the speed was pretty fast. Compared to Satyam, bplnet has better speed and service. Renewal of my bplnet account was a also very easy eventhough the renewal pack was not readily available. Overall my experience with Bplnet was Not too bad!!
