‘This Means War ‘ is a 2012 romantic comedy action film directed by McG.

The film stars Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy as perpetrators of a love triangle in which two CIA agents and best friends(Pine and Hardy) discover that they are dating the same woman, Lauren(Witherspoon).

FDR Foster(Chris Pine) and Tuck Henson(Tom Hardy) are deployed to Hong Kong to prevent international criminal Heinrich from acquiring a weapon of mass destruction, but the mission goes awry, resulting in the death of Heinrich's brother Jonas and Heinrich swearing revenge against them. Heinrich is the compulsory evil angle to this otherwise fun tale of harmlessly adulterous and voyeuristic adults .

FDR is a womanizer, whose cover is that he's a cruise ship captain, while Tuck, who presents himself as a travel agent, has an ex-wife, Katie(Abigail Spencer), and a son, Joe- who do not see much promise in his boring and mundane life.

After seeing a commercial for online dating, Tuck decides to sign himself up and gets paired up with Lauren Scott(Reese Witherspoon), a product testing executive who's coping with the breakup and recent engagement of her ex-boyfriend.

Her best friend, Trish(Chelsea Handler), an elder woman with unlimited appetite for sexual fantasy – most of it involving her younger friend and eligible porn -movie –size- phallused youngsters - has perversely signed her up for the same online dating site.

While Tuck commences to date Lauren, FDR also accidentally runs into her after her first date. Initially Lauren rejects FDRs advances, but soon gives in to his boyish charm, clear blue eyes and unclear conscience. Tuck thinks he is moving along fine with Lauren, and believes he is in love, not knowing that his best pal FDR is also into the same woman.

The movie is about the two best friends declaring a covert war on each other to win the girl’s affections- illegally using the best of technology CIA places at their disposal. They use bugs to record every move of the girl, forgetting all sense of morality and integrity while prying into a person’s intimate life.

Trish, the elder friend of Lauren has the humorous and lovable role of egging on a hesitating Lauren into the arms and throbbing pelvises of the two friends and even offers to have sex on her behalf to check which one is the better lover. She promises to offer her backside to the boys so that they won’t know whom they are with!

She is infatuated about discussing sex, though she herself performs it in a ritualistic fashion only once every Wednesday on a fat and boring husband!

Lauren looks skinny, haggard, wrinkled and a female with the sideways fanny variety. The two FBI guys are far better and younger looking in comparison, and seem to be on a phallus reduction program, *‘because every time it lands on a urethra- the female thinks she is overeating.’ (Quote Unquote)

The movie has enormous humorously sexual undertones, especially from the elderly but gorgeous Trish, and is a happy, romantic and enjoyable tale.

The action scenes are muted and not overdone, and last but briefly enough not to detract from the central romantic theme.

An enjoyable fun fare – compared to the mediocre Bollywood trash currently in theatres.
