Drive Me Crazy Movie Reviews

''Drive Me Crazy'' . . . My review

“Drive me Crazy” – PG-13

Melissa Joan Hart, from the television series “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch,” stars as Nicole in this cute high school movie.

She has just been dumped by her boyfriend and is devastated. She needs to find a way to get back at him so that she has her ideal date to the prom.

Chase (Adrian Grenier) is Nicole’s next door neighbor and a friend from her younger years. They no longer run in the same circles at school. He too has just been let out of his relationship and is in morning. Nicole comes up with a fabulous idea; they should pretend to date each other. This would serve them both by making the ex’s jealous. But could it be they start feeling things for each other instead?

If you haven’t guessed it yet, I love high school movies! I can’t explain why, but I do. This movie was cute and light-hearted and I did indeed enjoy it. I would recommend it if you’re in the mood for a light romance. It was written by Todd Strasser and Rob Thomas and directed by John Schultz. Melissa Joan Hart has only been in the business for a few years, but I imagine she’ll have a successful career. Adrian Grenier was terrific. He had the charisma needed to pull off a teen movie. The supporting actors in the film also added needed comedy. It was a good all around movie...NOT just for teens!

Enjoy!

Cute Teen Movie

We rented this on the pay per view a couple of nights ago. It was a cute teen movie. My son loves Melissa Joan Hart in Sabrina the Teenage Witch and he was here with my 13 year old brother and our 13 year old cousin. He also had a couple of friends over and we were looking for something that everyone could watch. We voted for this one. It was really cute.

It is the same old story of girl wants to get boy #1 by making him jealous of boy #2, but somewhere in the process she falls for boy #2 and doesn't know how to tell him. It sort of reminded me of a teen movie when I was a teen.... ''Can't buy Me Love'' anyway I really liked that movie as a teen and so this one brought me back a few years and made me feel young for a bit.

Nicole (Hart) is very popular and wants to go to the big dance with a popular basketball player, but he ends up falling for someone else and asks them to the dance. Now she needs a way to get his attention so she makes a deal with Chase (Grenier) to make him jealous. Chase is her neighbor and the ''rebel without a cause'' type. She makes him over and suddenly he is a part of the ''in'' crowd and leaving behind his not so ''in'' friends behind. The two begin to fall for each other, but all their friends are trying to pull them apart. Neither seems to be aware of the other's feelings for them. The plan works for them, his ex girlfriend wants him back after seeing him with Nicole and the basketball player ends up asking Nicole to the dance but in the end neither wanted what they thought they did.

I think this is a good movie if you have a preteen or teen in the house or even if you just want to feel like a teen again.
