Yes Boss, movie liked and even loved by many of us.
Starring Shahrukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, Aditya Pancholi in the main lead.
It's the story of Rahul (Shahrukh Khan) who wants to make it big at any cost and he has a generous boss (Pancholi) to thank for it. His aims are clear, either love or money. But all his goals are thwarted when he meets and falls in love with Seema (Juhi Chawla) who herself wants to make it big...but she falls for his Boss! and now Rahul's faced with the eternal dillemma... LoVe or CaReer?? and even though the movie and its events are dealt with a touch of comedy and farce, the movie highlights the bigger issues at play.
The movie starts with both Rahul and Seema, sitting in the cars of their companies and bossing the drivers around. The movie begins by showing their lacks (even though dealt with humor) of material goods and how Rahul wants to be a Boss himself. Rahul, represents the middle class (bourgeosie) who dream of rising above in this unequal world.
While the man (Rahul) does that by buttering and flattering his boss, Seema, can do it by having the Boss's aquaintance (having a relation with him). The Boss, well, represents the High class, the master, the BOSS, the one who owns labour, who controls and manipulates those beneath him. He has full control over Rahul, who serves to his every need and cleans up the dirty work, while he seduces Seema, into loving him.
But the movie makes a statement in the end, which can be interpreted in two ways. Seema and Rahul find love with each other, and Dont worry, be Rich changes to Dont Worry, Be Married. It can suggest that Seema and Rahul, both of them from middle class find that they arent suited in a world like this and decide to love and marry away from this, which is a pretty optimistic resolution of the situation as compared to the next one.
The other one is that they both are rejected from this high class world where they face rigourous competition and have to battle for survival, and thus they are with each other more out of necessity than out of choice....(depressing, aint it?)
You can choose either of them, although i'm not discarding the possibility of Love.. which was the only ''pure'' emotion in the movie.
Either way, the movie is fun to watch and the ComEdy Rocks!~
