CAST: Sharman Joshi, Gurmeet Chaudhary, Rajneish Duggal, Sana Khan
DIRECTION: Vishal Pandya
GENRE: Thriller
DURATION: 2 hours 16 minutes
The story revolves around murders being broadcast live on TV channel and who the murderer is. Rahul Oberoi(Rajneish) is the owner of the TV chaneel. Kabir(Sharman) is the interrogating police officer and Siya(Sana) is the lawyer. Siya’s boyfriend Ranveer(Gurmeet) is hired by the government to prosecute Rahul, who is the prime suspect. The plot thickens(by about an inch) when another suspect is killed off on live TV.
On the face of it, live murders on national TV followed by a manhunt sounds like an intriguing plot but minutes into the movie, intrigue gives way to intimate scenes, stereotyped dialogues and highly predictable twists.
Gurmeet flaunts his abs and not much else and Sharman, the only credible actor here, goes a little over-the-top with his enunciation. Sana, a Bigg Boss alumna, is still play-acting for 94 cameras instead of performing sincerely for one.
Three of the four songs which are a remix of older hits and are put in as props when the screenplay becomes unbearable but songs do not manage to elevate the moods of the audience even a little bit. The background seems loud and at points interfere with the scenes.
Overall a good plot which has been duly wasted. Not worth watching.
