Nice

The most awaited and the final movie of 2018 finally releases in cinemas and if it's worth your time, here is my review of Rohit Shetty's Simmba. A dhamaka is set to evolve in the box office. What's Good: Ranveer Singh is pleasing to watch, Action sequences are well choreographed and well shot, Cinematography looks great, Ajay Devgan Cameo as Bajirao Singham and Sara looks beautiful. Oh.and someone else also appears in Simmba. Aankhon Maare and other songs are good. Rohit Shetty signature direction is what keeps you on the seat. What's Bad: This adds nothing new to the remake Temper, Sonu Sood doesn't look authentic and character is too similar of which from Dabangg, VFX needs work, story is average and cliched at best. Screenplay also needs work and a forced message of women empowerment is redundant and has already been established in Indian Cinema. Duration can be minimised by 30 mins and edit out the unnecessary scenes that add nothing to the entire plot anyway. Should You Watch It: Yes but leave your mind at home. If you have watched Temper don't bother watching this. This is masala at its best and Ranveer Singh is a powerhouse of energy that energisers the film. Without Ranveer this film is average and only for audience who enjoy films like Golmaal and Singham. Rating: 3 Stars out of 5 Simmba Roars and provides thunderous entertainment that only is visible in Rohit Shetty's Simmba.

Balanced Movie

It is a combination of all type of movies it is a Romantic movie but at the same time action also, it is a comedy movie but at the same time Emotional also.

Lead role male is Ranveer And Female is Sara Ali Khan. It is second movie of Sara as a main actress, good effort by her.Ranveer did his best he was just drown in the character, his real name in movie was not Simmba It Was "Sangram Bhalerao".Its Story is like this-

It is a movie of a boy at the same place where Bajirao Singham was a police officer. But the boy wanted to be not a loyal police man he wanted to be a bribe taking officer. And succeed he takes bribe but one of his so called sister was raped he drop all these works. And got converted into a loyal police officer.

At the last I will Say Everyone Should Watch It It is A story with many good lessons. It supports Loyalty, women empowerment.

It is a Paisa Vasool Movie.

The movie was good. Actors have given justice to the characters they have played. There was comedy, action and plot was also good. Could have been better if some more important role would have been given to Sara Ali Khan. The guest appearance was also nice.

There are very few filmmakers who have a fan following of their own and can enhance the buzz simply by their association. Rohit Shetty is one such director who has become a brand thanks to his entertaining, well-made and larger than life films. After Singham, the respect for him increased manifold. And now he’s back with another cop drama, Simmba, featuring the energetic and dynamic Ranveer Singh. The stakes are high and so is the hype for the film. And thankfully, Simmba manages to entertain big time, just like the previous Rohit Shetty films!

The story of the movie: Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba(Ranveer Singh) is a dishonest police officer in Shivgad. Minister Vinayak Dutta(Uday Tikekar) transfers him to Miramar, Goa. Once he shifts there, he meets Shagun(Sara Ali Khan) and both fall for each other. He also develops a brotherly bond with Aakruti Dave(Vaidehi Parshurami), a medical student who teaches poor kids. However, she also gets in the wrong books of Durva Ranade(Sonu Sood), which changes her life for the worse. Simmba is on the payroll of Durva and hence, he feels helpless. But he’s a brother first and realizes that for Aakurti’s sake, he’ll have to take matters in his hands.

Simmba begins with a bang and stays on a high till the last frame. Adult Simmba's entry is terrific and the film gets better as his corrupt deeds are showcased. Some of the great scenes in the first half are reserved for Nityananda Mohile(Ashutosh Rana). Also, his romance with Shagun makes for an entertaining watch. But the soul of the first half is the entire Aakruti episode. The intermission point is like the lull before the storm and sure enough, the second half gets better. The action scenes are no doubt fabulous but even the dramatic and confrontational sequences are worth it. Also in close competition is the scene of Bajirao Singham(Ajay Devgn)! There’s also a surprise in store in the very last scene!

Ranveer Singh is the soul of the film and is absolutely entertaining. He gets to play a part where he can be his real self with some Rohit Shetty style tadka. And the result is a performance that would be remembered for years. Sara Ali Khan shows the spark yet again. Sadly and as expected, she has a limited screen time. Sonu Sood is convincing as the villain. He looks powerful and someone that one shouldn’t mess with. Parallels would be drawn with his Cheddi Singh act in Dabangg but Sonu tries his best to ensure people don’t remember that film. Also, physically he looks menacing and strong and two sequences in second half prove that. Siddharth Jadhav(Santosh Tawde) is dependable and he has a crucial part to play in the second half. Ashutosh Rana is the surprise of the film and steals the show in various scenes. Vaidehi Parshurami is lovely and your heart goes out to her. Ashwini Kalsekar(Judge Smita Parulkar) plays the tough judge part nicely. Her dialogue in the climax is the need of the hour. Uday Tikekar, Suchitra Bandekar(Suchitra), Neha Mahajan(Kavya), Ronjini Chakraborty(Purnima), Arun Nalawade(Waman Rao), Nandu Madhav(Aakruti's father), Vijay Patkar(Alok Borkar), Sulbha Arya(Iyer Maushi), Shriswara(Durva's wife Varsha) and Savita Joshi(Durva's mother Bharti Ranade) provide able support. The actors playing Sadashiv, Gaurav and lawyers are over the top but their acts work. The cameos by Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Kemmu are great. Ajay Devgn is outstanding and despite lesser screen time, he leaves a mark.

Music is nothing great but songs are well placed. ‘Aala Re Aala’ is grand and colourful while ‘Aankh Maarey’ is the best of the lot. ‘Tere Bin’ is well shot in picturesque locales. ‘Mera Wala Dance’ is shown in the end credits. Amar Mohile and Thaman S’s background score is exhilarating, enhancing impact. Don’t miss the fusion theme in the second half!

Jomon T John’s cinematography is excellent and contributes to the impact. Swapnil Bhalerao and Madhur Madhavan's production design is real and appealing. The pub sets are striking. Sunil Rodrigues and Rohit Shetty's action is a real highlight, like it happens with any Rohit Shetty film. It is not too gory and makes the film even more entertaining. NY VFXWaala's VFX could have been better. Bunty Nagi's editing is slick.

Vakkantham Vamsi’s story is entertaining and very relatable. Yunus Sajawal and Sajid Samji’s screenplay is brilliant. This is a remake of the Telugu movie Temper and the writers take the essence of the original and have treated it very well. Farhad Samji’s dialogues are one of the highpoints and add to the drama and humour.

Rohit Shetty’s direction is exemplary and ensures he gives his target family audience a great time. In 159 minutes, he has packed in ample doses of laughter, romance, tragedy, thrill, action and drama. Also, this time he takes up the topic of rape and women’s safety and makes an excellent comment. He does slip at few places. The second half is a bit slow while a few scenes in the Aakruti track are difficult to digest. But these are minor glitches and the master director compensates in lot other ways. In short, Rohit Shetty has come out with flying colours and this is surely one of his most accomplished works!

Some of the best scenes:

Simmba’s entry

Simmba extracts money from the jeweller

Simmba’s first day at the police station

All scenes of Simmba and Shagun

Simmba meets Durva

Aakruti gets into trouble

The intermission point

Simmba drinks with Mohile

Simmba and cops at Shagun’s eatery and the scene thereafter

The climax

On the whole, Simmba is a complete entertainer and also delivers a powerful message. Ranveer Singh's entertaining performance further adds to the impact. At the box office, the film gives a fitting goodbye to 2018 and is bound to be a huge grosser. Don’t miss!

My rating - 4.5/5!

Simmba is Remake
Dec 31, 2018 07:00 PM 1144 Views (via Mobile)

Hello guys simmba is very good movie.

The movie is centred around a corrupt cop Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba(Ranveer Singh) who accepts bribe at the drop of a hat, protects criminals and is as good as a pet loyal dog to the local don (Sonu Sood) who along with his brothers runs a drug mafia business using a pub as the centre and children as drug carriers. A heinous crime involving the brutal gangrape and murder of a teacher (Vaidehi Parashurami) brings a complete transformation in Simmba who turns righteous overnight and fights for justice.

Rohit Shetty is best known for mindless yet profit earning propositions like the Singham and Golmaal franchise. Simbba is also high on the commercial entertainer parameter with a heavy dose of Shetty trademark action sequences bordering on violence and the stereotypical Bollywood comedy. Shetty also uses the feminist angle to woo the audiences this time. Technically it’s extremely poor with highly disappointing remixes, lacklustre screenplay and editing. Action is definitely the upper selling point here.

Ranveer Singh mouths dialogues exactly the way he did whilst playing Bajirao, yet one must applaud this actor for having the ability to display multiple expressions in a few nano seconds, he’s there in every frame and fits the character perfectly. Ashutosh Rana is marvellous and a delight to watch playing an honest middle aged constable. Sonu Sood frowns and flexes his biceps to justify his villainous streak. The comedy angle is taken care of by Siddharth Jadhav, Vijay Patkar and other actors playing the constables. Vipin Sharma, Uday Tikekar are cast in regular corrupt politician roles and they ham through their acts. Special mention of actor Nandu Madhav who plays his part really well.

Vaidehi Parashurami is excellent, The gorgeous Sara Ali Khan is wasted in a blink and miss kind of role yet she is pleasant to watch. There is an entire Mahila Morcha brigade in the movie comprising Suchitra Bandekar, Sulabha Arya, Neha Mahajan and others. Ever irritating Ashwini Kalshekar yet again overacts and is too loud.

What works is an reliable lead actor who very sincerely carries the movie on his strong shoulders and the heavy dosage of action comedy that can easily cater to the audiences. What doesn’t work would be a hackneyed storyline that resembles 90’s movies which dealt with the “rape and revenge” theme and the dramatic melodrama that may not go down well with the millennial audience. Overall Rohit Shetty has a confirmed winner on the cards.

Watched Simmba. It is a good movie. I always like Rohit Shetty Movies because it is full of entertainment and Simbaa is one of them. The main feature of this movie is that Rohit Shetty has taken Ranveer Singh as Hero in this movie. Ajay Devgan's special performance is really good. Ranveer Singh has done well in this movie. Though it is a action movie but it has lot of comedy too. Overall a good movie worth watching once.

While watching the trailer and reading reviews I thought this moview was going to be mind blowing. I was really exited specially when I heared its a rohit shetty film. Rohit shetty gave us alot of greats. Likes of Golmal series, Chennai express. But I thinl its a quiet disappointing to witness a film like this one. This one totally illogical. One thing is good that rohit is trying a give a message about rape and how people react to it. By doing this I think they somewhat hurts the sentiments of rape victims. This film is all about adding masala. So if you like such masala movies then its a movie for you otherwise if you want action, romance etc I would not suggest this one for you.

It's an awesome movie I saw.

Ranveer singh made my day. Love u a lot. That movies say more abt a senior police officer...

Ranveer Singh has performed brilliantly throughout the movie. Be it slapstick comedy or dialogue delivery with Marathi twang or impassioned outbursts or fight sequences, the married man has done it all with supreme excellence. Rest of the star cast are good but did not have much scope to perform, be it Ashutosh Rana, Sonu Sood or Sara Ali Khan. I wasn’t following the movie trailers so was pleasantly surprised with Ajay Devgan’s appearance on screen. Don’t be fooled to believe that’s the only guest appearance.

Awesome movie .but disappointed as it is a remake
Dec 31, 2018 02:02 PM 492 Views (via Android App)

The movie is so good the cast. The acting, action, screenplay

And specially rohit shetty direcrion was completely Mindblowing. And the cameo of ajay devgan and akshay ( khiadi no.1) rocks the climax.

But disapointing thing is that it was a remake of south film Temper starring Jr.NTR ( 2015) and also both song aankh marey and tere bin also remakes.

But if you havent watched temper than it gonna be a Outstanding and all time entertainment masala movie for you

I just say this that you will like this .though the acting of ranveer seems overacting some time due to his. Extra energetic performance.

Just want to say this save the bollywood. The audience does not want any remake from south now. we need movies like. : Sanju, Baahubali2, sultan and dangal etc.

And so on rated it 3.5 star personally.

Simmba is really a nice movie. I am not a fan of ranveer singh but after watching thus movie, I started to like him. His acting in this movie was really good and really impressed me. His acting was very fascinating. The only problem, I saw in this movie was songs which were not good. It was a very good movie except the songs. Every picture has its power in its songs, if the songs were good, I think that it would be a superhittttttttttt.

This not good movie

It's a superb Paisa Vasool movie full of 'comedy-drama-action-emotion'; a four point package relating to the current topic going on in our country. Ranveer Singh's performance is mindblowing. everyone else has also done brilliant job in their respective shoes( especially Ashutosh Rana Sir) . And how can I miss it, Ajay Devgan's cameo role as 'the DCP Bajirao Singham'is an amazing christmas-cum-new year treat served by the Director Rohit Shetty in this film.It was mind blowing to see both the police officers on the screen together. Guys do watch this movie on a big screen for sure.

Love it

Movie's are not fruit or cake ideally

They shouldn't be discussed

In terms of "this half"and "that half"

But that's especially difficult when

When writer's and film maker treat the

Interval as an excuse me to shift gears completely. Like simmba directed by

Rohit shetty which frankly is two films for

The price of one

Today I watch simmba movie. Starter are as we know ranger Singh, sara Ali Khan, Sonu sodh. a small cameo rule are doing Ajay devgan. Dialog, screenplay, song are good. If you watch this movie then you realise that director Rohit shatty do hard to make it elite class movie. As well as other movie of Rohit shatty this movie also have a good quality of action scene. Song of this movie are mind blowing. As a actress Sara Ali Khan played a tremendous rule. She's acting are very natural. Ranbir Singh also playing a wonder full job. Villen of the film Sonu sodh ar a good actor. In this film specially his six pack abs are very impressive. After all this movie is a power of ''dhamaka''. Go and watch this movie, I am sure that you gonna love it.

Best commercial entertainment movie of 2018. This movie will also be a hit for Singam. Ranvir Singh fans also very happy to him as a police officer about the movie. Just go and watch the movie in theaters, all Marathi dialog said by Ranvir sing are very good and unique Sara Ali acting is also good I believe she can do more better then she did all action are good especially Ajay Devgn but why it's not much part. Ajay Devgan needs to play more on this movie. Family watch movie you will not disappoint to see and if you are Ranvir Singh fan then must be watch. Hope you like my review, please comment.
