Friendship N Trust-Koi Aap Sa.

This film has a surface and slight charm of its own. This movie is a unique movie I ever seen so far. Koi Aap Sa tells the story of two friends. film would keep you glued to your screen which happened to me when I was busy watching it. friendship is the most important thing in the world other than love and trust. these thing happen all around the world so it not really new thing to watch but I think because its the first movie like its interesting to watch. its not a movie that u have to stop in the middle of the movie. its a movie that you would want to watch again and again. the acting is awesome by Aftab, Natassha and Dipanita. if you need a friend then first you got a be a friend too. in that movie Aftab and Natassha is like boyfriend and girlfriend because they are that close that you cant even say they are best friends. but after natassha’s engagement whatever happened to her is not far at all. I guess at least that proves Dipanita that he really loves her. after she get pregnant nobody at all believed that it was not Aftab baby. though he accept it because no one believes them. if you were Aftab in that act would you ever accept it????? nope I guess. because you love someone else and why would you ruin your life for someone else. but for him she is more than anything to him. what would you pick if you were in that state....friendship or love????? the film leaves you with a smile for projecting an aura of positivity and for venturing into a young theme without getting callow shallow and crude. after watching this movie people ask them self a question which is: Can a man and a woman remain friends without turning into lovers? which I say is true and most of the people say that too. Koi Aap Sa tells a rather damp tale of friendship, love, trust, tragedy and commitment.

A touching movie

A must-watch movie for anyone who has not watched it yet. Firstly this is my very first review so no complaints if crap!

Focusing onto the movie review -

Must say a very heart-warming story of two friends who've known each other for many years and in the progression of the film these friends support each other in sadness and happiness, regardless of his own love parting from him he stands by his friends and saves her from great depression. Their friendship bloom into a blossom of love... Okay more explanation na?

Here you go Simran played by Natasha and Rohan played by Aftaab (ooooo heartbeats) are from childhood very best friends similarly brought up together in a way. Rohan finds himself in love with a lady named Preeti (Dipannita) and seeks Simi's help to impress her and succeeds into doing so.

Preeti suspects Rohan's and Simran's relationship but it fades on the arrival of Simi's fiance Vicky (himanshu malik). Unfortunately in Vicky's absence at a party a horrible event takes place where Simi is raped by her fiance's NRI friend who is pursued by Rohan but dies in a car accident. After several attempts to keep this a secret between themselves truth suddenly pours out to everyone.

People begin to accuse Rohan the poor guy in all of this in being the father of Simi's child which she bears in her. Consequent from his lover's retaliation and rejection he announces himself as the father of the child. Simi agrees to bring up the child with Rohan but both of them have difficulties trying to cope with each other about their marriage.

Can friends really fall in love?

Cast: Aftab Shivdasani,Natassha, Dippanita Sharma, Himmanshu

I must admit that this was one of the worst made films of the year. Besides the fact that the acting was so dreadfull, Ektha Kapoor, took a story with so much of potential and ''murdered'' it! It starts off with Aftab and Natassha bring best of friends only to find out that he loves someone else Dippanita (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai theme), but the twist is that they are actually just friends cos she loves Vicky (Himmanshu). Then in the seriousness of it all Natassha is raped and Aftab is the only person that knows this. They try and cover up the rape, then she's discoveres that she's pregnant, Vicky and the parents find out and they don't believe her and then as ever predictable Ektha, Aftab gives up his love and announces that he's the father and wants to marry Natassha. The 1 or 2 falling in love sences if your quick to catch it between Aftab and Natassha is dreadful, It happens within the space of seconds that they find out they love each other and want no other.

There is no chemistry between any of the characters although Aftab in certain sences shows that he is indeed a talented actor. Natassha and Dippanita are disappointing they need to stick to whatever they were up to before they were struck with the acting bug because acting is seriously not their cup of tea. The sound track however excellent and is about the only plus in the movie.

Don't waste your time watching even if its the last movie available at the movies.

A film that can make you cry
Oct 18, 2005 11:09 PM 5308 Views

Hi folks! Here is good news for you. After a long time, Bollywood has produced a film that can make you cry. Debutant director Partho Mishra has come out with a pleasant surprise. He has given a wonderful, heart-warming and pleasingly romantic movie 'koi...ap sa'.

There is no doubt that the story is nothing new. It is the same dead old love triangle. Bollywood has witnessed thousands of movies with such a storyline. But mishra’s love triangle has some different treatment. Partho has narrated the story in a way that everybody would identify himself or herself with the film in some point or the other.

The casting of the film is neatly planned and every actor has performed more than well. Aftab is the pick of the lot. He has immense talent in acting and dancing. He can definitely make it to the top if he is selective. Natasha, who debuted with 'kuch to hain', in a negative role, has proved her point too. Dipneeta fits in to the glamorous character easily and makes her presence felt.

The Director has handled the comic as well as emotional scenes excellently. Music by Himesh Reshammiya is one of the plus points of the film. The album has already reached the top charts.

On the whole, Koi Aap Sa is a must see for all sorts of audience, especially the teens.Do not miss it.Four starS from my side.

Why was Koi...Aap Sa made?
Oct 15, 2005 10:16 PM 7379 Views

Why was KOI AAP SAmade? What was the motive? For Commercial purpose?or For critical acclaim[ha ha]?No answers are forthcoming .

Ekta Kapoor returns with her fourth film after kuch To Hain,Krishna Cottage and kya cool Hain Hum. All these films were ordinary product with nothing to rave or rant about. One would expect her fourth film to be a notch above ordinary-however KOI AAP SA turns out to be her most disappointing film till date.

What could've been a 2 hour touching and absorbing tale turns into something unecessarily long. While the first half is crackling with humourous situations and witty dialogues laced with humour the second half drags on and fails to keep the viewer entertained on any level.

To give Director Partho Mishra a credit he has made a clean film which doesn't rely on any toilet humour or sex jokes [like that terrible excuse for a movie called Kyaa Kool Hain Hum].Hence the two stars!

PLOT

The film begins in a Kuch Kuch Hota Hain mode with a football match between two groups of same college [ Aftab being the lead player of one of the team] .Natasha is his best friend .They have grown up sharing same tiffin and school .

Actual drama takes place when Aftab falls in love with another girl [Dipnita Sharma] .He uses love tips from Natasha to woo her .As expected ,both[AS/DS] fall in love and sing a song far away in hills of Australia.

Things take a turn when Natasha is engaged to NRI Himanshu Mallik from America .Aftab is not happy with this engagement because somewhere down the line he is in love with Natasha. But Destiny has something in store for Natashaa...

She is raped by a person [who is a friend of Himanshu] during a college program .To make matter worse ,the rapist dies in a car accident after few hours leaving Natassha cold and numb! The best friends decide to keep the incident a secret. But trouble occurs when Natasha suffers from car accident [again!] and she is declared a pregnant!Natasha has to bear the humiliation of society including her parents and Fiance Himanshu Mallik[yawn!].

After some dragging rona-dhona sequence ,Aftab is ready to bear the responsibility of a father of a child of Natasha[yuck!]!But there is a twist in the tale! Himanshu re-appears on the scene and is ready to accept Natasha[worse!].

The worst part of the whole film is climax! Though Natasha is 7 month pregnant ,she is in a mood to watch a football match! The torture finally ends in a hospital where Natasha delivers a baby and declares Aftab as a father of new born baby!!

In terms of a story Partho Mishra has written refreshing story that shows a lot of promise in the first half.

Though predictable ,first half is simply amazing. The comic scenes in the first half between Aftab and Natasha and also the ones between Aftab/Natasha/Deepnita have been handled brilliantly and make for some of the best scenes in the movie......

There are many instances in the first half which are quite entertaining...like....

The sequence where Aftab-Natasha are watching K3G in a cinema Hall!

Similarly the entire enagement sequence of Natasha-Himanshu which brings the house down!

The date between Deepnita-Aftab is a fun to watch .

Portions depicting college are straight out of the life.

But its the intermission point that gives extra zing to the film! The race that ensues between the rapist and Aftaab keeps you on tenterhook. One can't help but ask for a more...!

Alas!KAS falls to all time low in this half!Though director Mishra has even opted for the pre-marital motherhood ala SALAAM NAMASTE and KYA KEHNA but what takes away the sheen from KOI..AAP SA is its screenplay which fails to hold the viewers interest alive in this half.

He fails to keep the pace moving and the gags don't seem to have any punch. Infact the story stagnates the moment Natassha comes to know about her pregnancy!

Another drawback is that whole film seems like an extension – both in style and content—to the serial Ekta Kapoor has been making so far.

Musically the film is good although weak compared to Ekta Kapoors previous ventures. The title track is pick of the lot [in the very beginning] and ''Adaat Ho chuki'' is catchy and sensual.

The other songs are hummable but the picturisations lack imagination and slow the movie down. One of the songs could also have been done with a chop.

Technically the film is slick and glossy! The beautiful locations of Melbourne have been perfectly captured on celluloid and there is a certain amount of freshness and zestness that is translates well on screen. choregraphy too is good-specially in Adaat Ho Chuki. The editing could've been slicker.

Aftab Shivdasani is terrific! He has charm, charisma and screen presence. He is totally natural when it comes to comedy-something . His ''boy next door'' looks help him in portraying his character with an amazing ease. His expressions are out of this world especially in the hospital sequence[climax]!

Natasshagives a totally natural performance that is bound to make the viewer fall in love with her. She has brilliant charishma and is a total cutie. Her delivery is efficient and she handles both comic and emotional scenes with aplomb. Her delivery when she rejects Himanshu Mallik deserves a round of applause! I am big fan of her from Kabhie Sautan Kabhie Saheli [a Star Plus serial ] days and its nice to see someone I adore going from strength to strength with each and every release[Kuch To Hain ,Yeh Dil ,Krishna Cottage,Siilsiilay] .All she needs is a solo hit!

The chemistry between Aftab and Natashaa is another high point of the film and also the dialogues they shared which gives the viewer the feeling '' this could be my love story''-both are totally bubbly and natural.

One major highlight is the conversation between Aftab and Natasha in the first half which goes something like this -“Mein tumse itna pyar karti hoon jitna Saddham Hussain America se aur Vivek Salman se karta hain!'.

Dipnita Sharma is OK in her role. She comes across very wooden at times although she looks good on screen. Himanshu Mallik who is a B-Movie icon of sorts is mediocre. He looks like a absolute downright ugly with a 80's hairdo, has absolutely no screen presence, mouthes his dialogues like a robot and wears one facial expressions on screen. He is too fat!

The rest of the cast is passable with usual coterie of terrible-looking actors from Balaji Soaps.God knows their name!

All up KOI..AAP SA is one to avoid.Waste of time and money!

Koi Aap Sa – An almost dud.
Oct 14, 2005 04:48 PM 3678 Views

Oopppss…Himesh Reshamiya missed the hat trick here. After sensuous sounds in Aitraaz and sensational Aashiq Banaya Aapne, the industry and fans expected him to deliver a third hit with Koi Aap Saa, but alas, hat tricks are scarce these days, on and off the field as well.

The music for Balaji Produced Koi Aap Saa has been out for a while now and the reason I restricted myself to listen to it was that neither the promos nor the star cast showed any promise. Balaji as a production house churned tearjerkers on small screen, I am least interested in. And as for movies, it did produce some forgetful movies with an equally forgetful actor, the Son of Kapoor Household, Tussar Kapoor. Thankfully I don’t see Tussar in Koi Aap Saa.

Since it is releasing now, I suppose it is high time, the music must come under the scalpels on the dissection table. First things first; Label – T Series, Music Director - Himesh Reshamiya, Lyricist - Sameer. As for the cast, Aftab Shivdasani, Natasha, Dipanita Sarma, Himanshu Malik (who is surprisingly missing from the publicity drill, promos and posters….God knows why).

With 10 tracks in Koi Aap Saa, this one is not too promising. Himesh hasn’t used any of the new voices in the music scene these days. But seemed the lyrics haven’t given him any chance to experiment. Usual Shan and Sunidhi for the racy tracks (if by any standards) and for the slow numbers, the veterans like Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam. Lyrics are a mix of some poetry for so called melodious numbers and jugglery of words for fast tracks. Seems our song writers have perfected the art of writing for a typical Bollywood music album.

Now the track listings – first the one which has some meat on it to chew. Tere Dil Ka Rishta is sung beautifully by Sonu Nigam. In fact this is the only track which is hummable till the first few lines. After that, neither does it register in your mind nor are you bothered to recall it.

Seene Mein Dil has a solo version, with Alka Yagnik crooning it and a duet version with Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. Nothing exceptional about these two – we need soulful lyrics and melodious music, or any one of the two, for a number like this to be a hit with the audience. But it lacks heavily on both the fronts.

Koi Aap Sa, sung by Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam, ideally must have been the title track but perhaps it lacked the magnanimity to carry off the responsibility of being the title track and pull off the album all on its own.

Kabhi Na Sukoon Aaya also has two versions – according to the leaflet one is the sad version and to me, I was wondering, which one’s sadder one. Both versions sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik give practically nothing to talk about.

Now the remaining tracks are the so called fast numbers – so get ready to put your dancing shoes on…no? Don’t worry. You don’t need them, at least for this album.

Baandh Mere Pairon Mein again has two versions. And the other one is remixed. I wonder why these new breed Music Directors need a remixed version of literally every song in the album. The remixed version is sung by Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan and the other one is sung by Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan. The sound does remind me of the leftovers from Aashiq Banaya Aapne’s music sittings.

Aadat Ho Chuki is one track which somehow captures your attention before getting lost in the oblivion. Again, the remix phenomenon reigns here and we have two versions of the same song, sung by the same singers, Shaan and Sunidhi. The track, seems, don’t belong to this album.

The element of excitement is missing from this album. Previously, the music of Aitraaz and Aashiq Banaya Aapne had a quality of gripping the audience. The music grew with the time on audience and mesmerized them. It captured the mind space; where as Koi Aap Sa has nothing to its credits. A poor job done by the music director with poorer set of lyrics or should I say the minuscule effort to save the ship by a poor sailor with a poorer captain.

Altogether, this one is an average album and I would rate it 3 out of 10 on the scale. Don’t take the pain of buying it, don’t even borrow it from friends and you wont regret. You may see your Radio Jockey playing it once in a while.

Title Continues: ..Jo Yeh Album Purchase Lay Ga

Firstly give me a chance to say something that why I have posted the review in wrong category as I don’t want to add a useless category and to waste useful resource. So Skip this factor while RRC

Ekta Kapoor this time come up with movie called Koi Aap Sa. The title seems to interesting and its promos showing a good impact of the movie the music released on 10th September 2005. K2H2 was a very disappointing venture which was the last released Balaji movie. This time they tried Himesh Reshammiya who is playing a role which few years ago Anu Malik was playing. Every third trailer of upcoming movies at every channel is having music of Himesh Reshammiya. Sameer is accompanying him as he was doing it with Anu Malik and before him to Anand Millind. The last time I was impressed with Himesh Reshammiya’s music was in Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye (Aashiq Banaya Aapne was nice but all songs were riiped off). have a look at the album and see how this album goes.

Seene Mein Dil

Udit Narayan & Alka Yagnik

A very usual tune seems similar to Himesh’s earlier ones. Udit & Alka tries their level best and sing it in good style but the thing Greatness is missing. Though the song has some nice lyrics but still the song is not enough to be a starting track of an album. But one thing is there if the movie picks the song can come into top ten entries but not the top 5 slot. If movie get flopped even Himesh would not bother that ever he made this song. They thought that it not enough to have only one version of this song they have presented another version sung only this time by Alka. She is a nice singer as we all know so she made the song listenable with no change in music slight change in https://lyrics.

Aadat Ho Chuki Hai

Shaan

I remembered last time this kind of situation I faced when I had listened Zaalim Ishq from Gumnaam. A top flop song. Shan in order to sing variety gives us such a boring track that I cant say more about it then to say it is the worst song of the album. From this I am coming to a conclusion that Ekta has a very cheap sense of music that she by knowing that this song is so bad includes it in her album.

Tere Dil Ka Rishta

Sonu Nigam

Himesh this time give a reasonable track with some nice lyrics by Sameer. Sonu is too choosy these days and he is proving this to us with his song like these. I remember Suna Suna from Krishna Kottage with this song. though that was best song but still this is up to the mark. Saving grace for everyone related to the album.

Bandh Mere Pairon Mein

Sonu Nigam & Sunidhi Chauhan

This is an easy forgettable song. though includes both my favourite singers but still a poor tune. I am not believing that this song is owned by Himesh Reshammiya who has given us Tere Naam and Aane Do(KMHJ) type tracks. Something is wrong in this album I am sure.

Koi Aap Sa

Sonu Nigam & Alka Yagnik

I was expecting this track to be a good number but it is less than expectations. Soon it will be on-air and will be famous for some time but not a forever loveable song. Sonu keeps his image. Alka also has her part to play but Himesh loses his all likeness in this song. At least he should have to work on this track not for the producer but for his own standard which he has now in people mind.

Kabhi Na Sukoon Aaya

Udit Narayan & Alka Yagnik

A sad album to close this sad album. The song described well and tune is pretty much similar to earlier Himesh music. Here I got the point Himesh trick was that all his flop numbers from last few movies which were unnoticed he picked the tunes and tried to fit them with some different https://lyrics. He himself was not sure what he wants in the album.

Suggestion

You don’t need to spend money on this album just download Sene Main Dil & Tere Dil Ka Rishta from any site later you will have to delete this that’s for sure. Save money and spend it some where else if you had planned to buy this album. Have a nice time and say thanks to me in comments section if I saved your money.

Thanks

It’s Sana ( ( ( ( ( O ) ) ) ) )
