Chhapak movie give us a strong message to a sensitive matter of acid attack

I see this movie on last sunday at cinepolos db mall bhopal.

I have very emotional memories with this movie and till today I don't forget the act of deepika padukon

All characters is give hundred percent of its acting specially deepika padukon is character of maalti

Movie start with protest scene of 2012 delhi rape case of nirbhaya

This movie show all problems of acid victims and their families

And their struggles and this movie is based on a real story of laxmi who also a acid victim and fight for open selling of acid

Music of this movie is good and title track ( chhapak se pehchan le gaya) is running in all movies in emotional scene

So I recommend to everyone for see this movie and also support victims of acid attack S

And you know shahrukh khan S ngo MEER foundation is doing very good work for acid attacks victims for their living and all of their needs for life

And chhapak movie is show a sensitive matter and one hidden face of society

Chhapak is based on acid attack. I watch this movie becouse of it's real story. movie is good and Deepaka's acting was amazing. but it's little bit boring. the movie was plain formate, I thought there are no suspens. One time watch movie. I just watch because it is real story I'm not excited for watching. Deepika's co star also doing good job.

The movie’s story is good but deepika’s acting as the acid attack victim could not really relate to the real cases. it fails to emotionally associate the audience. the only good dialogue is - “kaash ke acid bikta hi nahi, jab milta hi nahi to fikta bhi nahi.” But one can take the message which they tried to address regarding the empatht which society should show to such victims.

Deepika padukone and Vikrant massey's amazing peformance.Meghna Gulzar's brave attempt to make movie on this subject.This movie is based on Laxmi Aggarwal's ( acid victim) life.A moment changes her life forever, how strongly she dealt with police, people and court legalities.She again rebuilt her own life and started fighting for her fellow victims.Although very emotional movie but worth watching.

A very heart touching story and it melt my heart because of the tragedy and sad story of this movie. This beautiful girl became a witness of acidic attack and now her face is burnt and she is suffering from so much pain and she felt hopeless after this incident but she got treatment on time. She has got her face burnt badly and now all her beauty has gone so far from her but she didn't quit and she exposed her as she is in front of the whole world and established herself as a very normal and happy person. She is an inspiration for many. She still has so much confidence and that's so helpful for her, she loves herself and she knows a deserving man will fall in love with her.

I think that it is one of the best movies of 2020 and Deepika mam's performance is outstanding. The movie shows the increasing rate of crime on acid attacks happening in our country.

I thing it is the best performance of deepika mam and I really appreciate the hardwork of director and all the cast and writers.

I recommend you hardly to go to theatures and watch the movie. I guarantee if you are fond of movies like Padman, Toilet, Bala so you will not be repent by watching this movie. Again I will say best movie of 2020.

Well directed.well acted and a story that needs to be seen and heard by everyone. Ok it was not as good as a No One Killed Jessica ( in a similar genre) . As everyone knew the story of Lakshmi Agarwal, so there was no scope of suspense in this story. But the thing I liked about the movie was that in spite of dealing with such a serious issue, the movie had a perfect mixture of light and heavy emotional moments which is v necessary to connect with the audience. It was not a sob fest but rather focused on the fact that even an acid attack survivor can lead a normal life, fall in love, party with colleagues and fight for the greater good. Vikrant Massey and Madhurjeet Sarghi have done complete justice to their roles and leave an impact almost similar to that of Deepika Padukone. The direction of Meghna Gulzar is very nuanced and each moment has been well thought of before finalizing it for the movie. The reaction of Malti, her parents and the society in general is very well scripted as to how they deal with the situation at hand.

Chappak Review

Ever since Deepika has visited JNU there was an uproar about boycotting her film, even though it talks about a very sensitive and important subject. I was also in two minds whether to go for it or not. But in the end Filmi keeda in me won over and I decided to try Meghna Gulzar's latest directorial venture.

Malti ( Deepika Padukone) is an acid attack survivor who is forgotten by public as usual. Suddenly after 7 years from the attack in April 2005, Malti once again gets a little rememberence when Nirbhaya case happens. Media wants to interview her but Malti who has lost her job for missing office due to frequent court visits is tired of all these and asks the journalist interviewing if she can get a job. ?? Well, journalist introduces her to Amol ( Vikarant Messy) who runs an NGO for acid attack survivors. Amol not only gives her a job but refuels Malti's desire to fight for a very important cause she has started. Next 1 hour 45 minutes tells us about the very difficult lives of acid attack survivors who are not at fault at all.

Performance wise, Deepika of course steals the show. Support cast of Vikrant Messy, Madhurjeet Sarghi, Payal Nair does a fine fine job too. But the beauty of the film is in various aspects that are taken care by writer / director. Be it struggle of Malti, her lawyer trying to juggle with her work and family, struggle of NGO operators or Malti's parents.

Recommendation - 3.5 Stars

P.S - Movie is extremely heavy and becomes too stressful at times. If you are not a movie buff, you will come out depressed for sure.
