Don't waste your money on this useless trash. I was surprised to see that so many stalwarts - Anupam Kher, Om Puri, Paresh Rawal, Prem Chopra, Birbal (yes, even him!) made complete buffoons of themselves. Pathetic storyline, crass, non-laughable jokes, terrible acting, and above all, a horrendous, done-many-times-over plot totally ruined my entire week for me.

Rakhi Sawant is terrible with her usual plenty of cleavage act. Loud, lewd, bad acting are her hallmarks.Paresh Rawal for once, is irritating. Om Puri is good for exactly 39 seconds.Anupam Kher is incosequential. It is easily one of the worst movies that Indian Cinema has ever seen.

The best part about the movie - the terror lasts for only 2 hours (unless, of course you are able to sit on your seat for longer than 2 minutes). You can't watch this movie with your family...you shouldn't even watch it alone. The class of people who were watching this movie were of the lowest possible strata, and even they found this movie disgusting. So, you can imagine what kind of a movie this might have been. Also, as a warning - STOP reading India from reviews.

It's manipulated and I have never come across a worse critic than Taran Adarsh. I have lost complete faith in his reviews. He gave this movie 3 out of 5, whereas most of the reviews have scarcely gone beyond 1/2 out of 5. I wish mouthshut had negative ratings. For a movie like Chak De India, Indiafm rated it 2 out of 5 - clearly...Taran Adarsh needs to go to a psychiatrist and have his head examined. I don't think he even bothers watching these movies. High time he changed his profession.

I have to say that this is the first time I am writing what I originally feel about this movie as this movie is so bad that it deserves -3 stars but the lowest common denomitor  on mouthshut website is one so anyway would have to do with it.the film has a vulgar script, screenplay, poor direction and top class hamming by the lead actors.

I know that the film is supposed to be a sex comedy on the lines of kya kool hain hum but believe me it crosses  the lines of indecency  and goes far ahead of kya kool hain hum and what is most pathetic is that it shows no respect for dead  with silly funeral scenes and family values by showing family members being involved with each other.

The film was supposed to have exposed shady dealings in corporate world but it instead exposes a film industry where such shocking pieces of film are still being made without quality checks and no respect for public so anyway avoid this film and if you have a urge for  double meaning work buy kya kool hain hum or be prepared to be laughed upon by others for watching this film as I was by my family

Story

the film is the story of laxmikant kubadia(anupam kher) a rich tycoon who is worth thousands of crores and is about to launch his companys ipo but unfortunately dies while being in a bed  with a item girl(rakhi sawnt) so his greedy family who  don't want to loose money as kubadia death would stall their success keep his death a secret and instead keep announcing their relatives death and for funeral purposes keep buying bodies from poor people but their problems keep on increasing.

And they fumble from one place to other and are finally caught while disposing the body.the film also has side tracks of a greedy servant(paresh rawal), a bisexual baba(om puri) who eases the tension of both lks twin sister(mahabanoo modi-kotwal) and his son samir(mukesh tiwari) who is gay and also of a father in law father a child from his daughter in law(mona mabegaonkar and aspiring grandaughters who want to become a starlet and a surgeon

the film is bad and vulgar throughout but this scenes take te cake for their offensive and silly content

1-while samir comes to dispose his fathers body he is caught by a tv reporter while relieving himself and asks the reporter to hold his private parts while he is lighting a cigratte who in turn asks his partner to hold his parts while he holds samirs parts

2-open use of bad words and offensive language by family members

3-granddaughter cutting lps thumb so that she can get money by putting his thumb impression on the papers

4-a baba sleeping with  an old aunt and her nephew one after other

performance

lk-anupam kher sleepwalks through the movie and has only one expression in the film

baba-om puri is embarrasing as a bisexual baba and wears a ridiculous costume throughout the film

ramu kaka-paresh rwal is ok as ramu kaka

ranvir sheorey  hams as a body salesman

prerna-mahabano modi hams and is over the top as bua

samir-mukesh tiwari is bad as a gay son samir

rakhi sawants ham big time as a starlet and I think she should stick to item nos as she is very irritatingover the top and doesnt knows abc of acting

mona as lks paramour daughter in law is ok

it is  sad to see brilliant actors like anupam kher, om puri , mukesh tiwari, ranvir and vinay act in this embarassment of a movie just for the money

Last year, Priyadarsan surprised the trade with a comparatively small film, Malamaal Weekly. Paresh Rawal and Om Puri excelled in the movie and it was good watching those two veterans compete each other. When the trailers with Paresh Rawal, Ompuri and a dead body come up again, I was expecting some similarities between Malamaal weekly and Buddha Mar Gaya and My expectations were not wrong.

You will die laughing is the tagline and they say it is a black comedy in the beginning. You may read this as an adult comedy with all direct and indirect mentions.

Rakhi Sawant is a starlet who is STRUGGLING to get roles in the films. (You have to understand the meaning of struggling from the film if you don't get it.) She is so good in struggling (So much so that who struggle with her die instantly) and Lakshmikant Kapadia (LK)(Anupam Kher) who owns the biggest IPO died when he was struggling with her. LK's twin sister (Mahabanoo Mody Kotwa) was about to start her mourning, by the time other kit and kin made an immediate plan to keep the news secret until they sell their shares in the company with the highest price. They fear that if the news is out, the shares will fall. (I am wondering if this is the reason for the fall of stocks, yesterday and today in SENSEX, it anyway don't want a reason for a fall. Lol!!!) They mocked the cry to the death of LK's relative, KL as there is no such person existed. They managed to find out a body and cremated it with much fanfare. They also manage to bring the dead body of LK to the place. Those who look for money is the relatives of him, from LK's twin sister, LK's two sons, their wives, their children and Vidyut Baba (Om Puri) who is the family astrologer. Together they succeed in keeping the body without damage, thanks to the very curious grand daughter of LK, who wish to be a doctor and don't use any chance to practice it. Things get a turn when the servant (Paresh Rawal) knew the story and tried to make the best use of the situation. Buddha Mar Gaya is a story of people who try to hide the fact from public for long and ready to go any extend.

The story had a potential to be told in a good way which could have made a huge difference. As things stand, it is a patched up story to create comedy instead of it comes as part of the story or situations. The director didn't hesitate to keep the movie as purely adult nature in its narrative. Let me give few of the spice out…

Vidyut baba is always trying to release tension of LK's twin sister and the son. It was really funny where the daughters exclaim and laugh, "Waw, our father is a GAY!!!"

When Rakhi Sawant is struggling each time, the director come out with very poetic visual examples which I am sure will take one to the height of nonsense onscreen.

Prem Chopra got a small role in the film too, as the owner of a music company. While Prem Chopra want to struggle with Rakhi Sawant, the the sadistic suggestions were silly too.

We cannot find any fault in the acting as each one, did their role very well. Paresh Rawal is wasted without much supported from the script. Ompuri and Rakhi Sawant however evoked more than a laugh. Mannat Kaur & Madhvi Singh looks gorgeous.

Now on the similarities with Malamaal weekly. Paresh Rawal, Ompuri fight each other, Rakhi Sawant, the dead body, the funeral function in church, bunch of people trying to hide the fact for money, new people come up each time…but it ends there. There is no quality comparison possible as Malamaal weekly was a class apart, where BMG stand as a poor imitation attempt with a poor script and lack of quality shows.

I really not really motivated to write anything more. And here goes my small final notes. The movie is only recommended for those who cannot skip a week without a new movie and don't mind watching non-vegetarian entertainment though it is not there throughout. (No need for looking for a plot, its connection etc. You can happily keep your brain at fridge while going to the movie). I have a disappointing weekend.
