Once, there was a time when Plots based on Gujarati Culture were dominating TV shows as well as Bollywood Movies. Now, there is a shift from that trend to a Nothern India( Uttar Pradesh .Bihar, Delhi) dominance in scripts, stories, acting.
And, in our country or you can say a human nature that we all want to make a quick dip into a current trend because everyone is benefitting from that, so, we should also get our share.
Same has have been done with this movie.
Story or a plot based in Uttar Pradesh cities with mingling ascent of the same taste was tried in the characters, but unfortunately, the director failed to encash the same as what movies like Tanu weds Manu or Dum Laga ke haisha were up to.
Kriti Sanon, portraying a character of the seamless girl who is well closer to her father in amending freedom of every kind like smoking a cigarette and that too asking from her father only wasn't at all impressive, it was something a forcing kind of attitude imposing on audiences to adopt and get adapted.
Ayushman Khurana, was impressive as per his character lines, but somewhere he was bending his tactics of managing a theme of being arrogant in nature wasn't well coordinated, he was a soft hearted person was displayed a much later.
Rajkumar Rao, here you can say that he was the only person who managed very well in acting department and making a run of a film as an appreciation by audiences. His character was well presented in both halves of the film.
Story Line of the movie was a confused one, as viewers cannot make out its essence of what actually it tends to reflect, whether it's a girl empowerment domianance or a love story angle or a sacrificing triangle copied from many other movies.
First Half of the movie was simply out of the context and dominated by lazy and overacting portraying of actors.
Second half, well credited to Rajkumar Rao's performance, was easily bearable.
Music was an average one, except one-foot tapping kind of song( Title)
Supporting Actors were likely to make you laugh but they failed to do so as it was looking a copied one from their previous movies.
