Seagate Backup Plus Slim 1 Tb Wired 200 Gb Cloud Storage External Hard Drive

I had used this harddisk for about 2 years and I must say I was very satisfied. I got it for ₹4200 and it was really a value for money. Writing speed was about 35mbps on usb 2.0 and about 70-90mbps on usb 3.0 Got 3 year warranty with it which was great.

Performance wise it was good and I think it was better than WD my backup plus. There was no heating issues however sometime I faced connectivity issues for example sometime computer wasn't detecting it or sometime drop in speed after prolonged usage.

Important advice: purchase a protective cover with good padding. Personally I used saco harddisk cover and always eject it by computer or make it stop before unplugging.

Desing wise, it is really slim with other external harddisks in same price range and it is available in various colours like black, red, blue etc.

Personally I used black colour and it was shiny not too shiny, curved edges and sexy looking. There was a led indicator on top surface with seagate logo imprinted on it. Build quality was also great however a cover is recommeded.

Service wise I don't know about the quality of customer support because I didn't needed. I think a best product is that which doesn't require service and this is one of them. However seagate is reputed international brand so you don't have to worry about service quality.

Verdict: If want good and trustworthy product, just go for it.

It not even deserve 4 star but 5 stars according to me.

yOU can completely trust on seagate.

As it provides you a warranty period of 2 years minimum.

Previously from 4 years I have been using seagate hard disk.

Now recently I purchased a new one, and I found it is really fast, efficient same like my previous seagate.

And this is really slim and small.

In this we have got many features like which include as follow:

backup option.(

one cloud 200 gb(For 2 years free storage)

Portable - It is really small and easy to carry.

Slim - It is really very slim, you can keep it in your pocket.

And the very best thing is the warranty period provided by the seagate.

It has got 2 years of service available from the date of activation.

And the most advantageous part is that, you can directly connect it to MAC.

I have been using this hard disk for over last two years and it's working very fine. It haven't got into any trouble ever. It's too slim so anyone can carry it anywhere without any trouble. It's very fast as it supports USB 3.0 with transfer speeds up to 120MB/s. On an average we get a copy speed of about 40-50MB/s. Seagate hard disks are very reliable and long lasting.

I bought seagate backup plus slim this january from amazon.

I will share my thoughts with you.

First impression: -

When I first opened the box I was mesmerised by the size and beauty of this device.I had not seen any hard disk so slim like this in my whole life.! The hard disk was beautifully packed and protected in the box.Box contents included hard disk and usb 3.0 data cable.As this hard disk was usb 3.0, it was the time to check it's read and write speeds.!

I purchased seagate 1tb hdd drive last month from amazon at a price of 3500. As my computer have only 500 gb space, which is not enough these days hd movies, games, softwares are very important and need to be protected. My xiaomi mi4i do not have external sd card slot so I used this as an external device connected by otg cable. In computer it runs like a charm, supports usb 2.0, 3.0. Very high transfer rate. Very portable to carry for long journey. I suggest everyone to buy this if you need an extra backup.

This external hardisk of segate is totally useless and nothing to use for me. I alread had 500gb hardisk on my desktop but the space was not sufficient enough so I decided to buy this hardisk and thus it was my biggest ever fault in my life.

The hardisk was already corrupted and defective the perfomance of copying was so slow to even copy smaller things from desktop to hardisk. The price is totally unacceptable still for the brand I purchased this hardisk and was fooled by them.

I have need for backup my precious data for emergency crash to pc. Seagate completed that Pros.- very lightweight Very small Zero sound during read/write( only a very little vibration of revolving disk) You wouldn't believe it is hdd And many points yet to discover.

Cons.- not found any But you can say one because it doesn't provide speed of hdd( no written anywhere) . Speed.-( as I found

Usb 2.0- read- 40-50MB/s write- 22-30MB/s

Usb 3.0- read- 75-85MB/s write- 50-60MB/s

I will recommend it to everyone. Seagate is completely reliable brand.
