Seagate Backup Plus 1 Tb External Hard Drive

I was worried about setup and backup settings, it worked out of the box like I wanted without putting any work.I bought 1 TB Segate slim backup drive and I will continue to store more and carry more data without sacrificing money or weight.Very fast it copied my 120 GB music libeary in 20 minutes.

One thing Segate missed is that drives attractive and small but doesn't have suitable case to go with it, .I bought 3 cases that were 50% bigger than the drive and USP cord.I wish they supply more appropriately designed case to go with this external drive.Very quite and with no vibration you can even notice unless you hold in your hand.Price wise this is best option you can get for the money and it will surprise you in performance and aesthetic appearance.

My office has given me the external drive for my backup of working data from laptop. Its awesome.  The data is secured in the drive. I can create the password for security. Also its awesome durable drive. Guaranty of no data lost or corrupt. Its body looks strong and good stylus color.  Its performance is good. Coping to the drive and vise versa is very fast.  Warranty period is provided.

Customer support is also good. They resolved the issue in 3-5 working days. Its value for money as per price comparison.

This external hard drive is a compact size.You can easily take it any where.The performance is very good no anykind of issue arrive till now.Other features like it's provide cloud storage of 100GB.As I am a college student I could store lots of data in it.The built quality is also very good.

The body is built of plastic.The service of seagate is good they provide one rear of warranty on it.In terms of price it is little costlier then other hard drives.other company provides 4000 INR range for 1TB hard drive but it costs 7000 INR which states that it is expensive.

This seagate hard drive are not good to use to store a data's and I not satisfied after use this external hard drive becouse I was bought this storage device and I used this external hard drive last few months and I facing a many issues at the time of use this hard drive and when I try to store a files even others types contain on this device it is not work properly to store also.

It is not worth for use and I facing a hiiting issues when I connect to my laptop to store my all data's to this storage device and performance are really not good to see to use this external hard drive and this device are works too slow to read a data's even write a data's as well. I was complained about this storage hard drive device performance issue to seagate customer support but I not received any kind of solution from this customer service also.

Overall this is not worth for me to use this external storage hard drive device and not reliable to use and not userfriendly as well as not worth for money.

I like this because I need  to transfer data, files, any documents for my personal purpose and i'm happy that technology has grown very fast in terms of performance and its very spacious so that I could store as much as possible besides it looks stylish and quite handy and get proper help from service and support center as I had once and I got response and problem solved and also it helped me to back up system related information when my laptop was formatted.

ITS useful for the professional and personal purpose.

Seagate is a good company in computer. It also makes hard disk. It make internal as well as external. It is good company in making internal hard disk. I have internal hard disk of 160gb. It is very good. I love it. So I accepted that external hard disk would be good but when I bought it I found that it was a worst. I bought it with good expectations.

But it was really bad. It is not good as compared to others. It has very high price. It has very speed less. It  takes more time to transfer also 1 gb and it has no backup system. So as per my opinion one should by good one but not like seagate. So please read my title and then decide to buy.

This is one of the best external hard drive I have ever used, easy way to store all your data, I bought this hard drive few days back and found that it has no heating and lagging problem.

when the storage was overloaded, it was still working very well, it was not slow .

works with all types of operating system.

this is one of the best hard drives I have ever used, its design and style is very impressive.

I would recommend this hard drive.

Dear friends I personally recommend you this product. I had used this from past 2 year still getting very good speed and quick access to data.

I've been using Seagate Backup Plus 1 TB hard drive for over four years, and it has never disappointed me performance wise.

The features of the device are-

1) It is an external Hard Disk Drive( HDD) that you can use by attaching its USB cable to the desired USB ports of other devices like laptops, PC's and TV's.

2) It is moderately small in size and portable. Easy to carry around with you.

3) It is dark red in colour, looks classy and its outer surface is protected by a thin plastic film.

4) It is not heavy, quite light rather.

5) It is 12 cms long, 8 cm wide and 1 cm thick.

6) The average file transfer speed is between 55 to 70 MBs per second.

7) The USB version is 3.0 and it also works perfectly well with USB 2.0 ports. Hence both USB 3.0 and 2.0 are supported.

8) The actual storage capacity of this drive is 931 GB, not 1 TB.

9) It requires careful handling as it is not of a very strong build. I would suggest buying a hard drive protective case( like those sold by Saco) to prevent accidental damage.

10) The USB cable is quite strong and thick in diameter( approx. 0.2 cm in diameter)

11) While watching movies or TV shows on the HDD i.e. when it is plugged in your system or TV, it is perfectly normal for the HDD to get heated up after some hours. Don't get alarmed by this, but I suggest that you copy the contents( the movie or TV show) first into your system and then watch without actively using HDD. It helps prolong its life.

It never gave me a problem, and I never had to go to a customer care centre. However it comes with Seagate warranty and you need to register your product online.

In the end, it is a value-for-money buy as it costed around 5K then and prices since then have dropped.

Just be a little careful in its handling, use a hard drive protection case, keep it away from dirt and moisture, and this hard disk will astound you with its performance and longevity.

I have been using this product for about 4 years it is working very good very speed, didn't face any issues till now. My friend suggested this product. When I purchased this from a local store by paying INR 5600 I was really concern about this product but I really happy that I make a good decision. This thing works very well in my laptop and my mobile as well. So I recommend this product. Its a nice one.

I bought this hard disk about 3 & 1/2 years ago for 5000? in local Pune store.

I am using it till the date and performance of the hard disk is good.

The read and write speed is about nearly about 100 MBPS when using USB 3 connection & about 25-30 on USB 2 connection.The Hard Drive design is nice it feels good in the hand.The usb cable which comes with the hard drive is short.

This Hard drive has a connector which can be used to connect other Internal Laptop Hard Drive which is a very convenient feature of buying this hard drive.I never had a problem with this hard drive so I have no experience about there customer service.Overall the Hard Drive is good & anyone looking forward to buy this hard drive should definitely go for it!

I had brought this Hard disk in my engineering first year during April of 2013, since then I have been using it and it had worked pretty well for most of the time. Only thing you should take care of is don't give it to someone who knows value of things or how to use it properly. There careless usage will cause you to go to service center.

There service was pretty simple and easy for me, which I had to go two times to replace my it due to my friends carelessness. If you don't use it properly then it will stop working so suddenly that you won't even have a clue about it.

Performance is good enough for a regular use.

Finally it is one of the best hard disk for a single person to use.

Seagate external hard disk.

Its really a nice and awesome product from Seagate. I am using the same external hard disk from past 3 years.Only disappointment about this hard disk is it has a little cable.

Apart from that its a very good hard drive used to store the data with secured and safety.

Its a very user friendly and easy usable since its a USB support input and output device.

I strongly recommend people to buy this hard drive if they are in a confusion I say you can happily buy it with out any issue.

I have been using this hard disk from last 1 year and would say yes hard drive is good but cable given alonh with it does nit last for more than 6 month. I have purchased genuine data cable two times but and now I am using another cable which I got with western digital hard drive which is working perfectly fine.

So I would not like to spend money of rs 4500 on this product and would not recommend to any one.

This product is pretty good as the drive is more sleek and slim than the other drives available in the market. It has a storage of around 1.81 TB which is pretty impressive. Registering the product on the seagate website is also very easy. It doesn't heat up much and doesn't require any power source. You can just plug it in whenever in need of storage. I've had a very smooth experience of using this product. Another impressive feature is the way it looks. The silver covering is classy and it has also has over 200 GB of cloud storage.
