I have laptop of dell but it is way better then its backup. I bought it 2.4 years back with 2 years of warrenty as soon as the warranty got completed it started making problms I communicated same to customercare but as it was oit of warranty I didnt got any help

The hard disk have 1TB capacity which is very good and have USB3.0 connectivity which makes the file transfer faster just by connecting the hard drive to pc directly.The hard disk is light weightier and also small in the dimensions which is a good sign to carry it.The hard disk requires no external power supply.

But the only minus point is the price of the hard disk.The hard disk is comes near about Rs.7000 the model 784-BBBE which is too high.but for brand detail it is enough.In real the price is very high of this model and it is very costly.All the things are good of this hard disk like design, capacity, style, speed but the price disappoints.

Dell is a big name in laptop but its hard drive is not as good as its laptop as its quality is poor. I baught dell hard drive just because its by dell but when is started copying data from my laptop to it then I was shocked as its transfer or copying rate is very slow and it took so much of time to copy 356 gb of data to dell hard drive. I stopped copying data as dell hard drive gets heated up and it was too hot at that time. I talked to customer care about it but they didnt admit their hard drive fault instead they told me that someting is wrong with my laptop.

I owned dell hard disk before two days.It works extradinory.From the time when I brought that hard disk till now there is no problem.Dell showroom gave me 3 years warrenty.The performence was so good.The copiying time was so fast.I reconmend that you should also brought dell portable 1TB hard disk. ???????????????????????????

I have bought DELL 2TB External Hard Disk Drive in online. I am using this for my PC back up since two years and the processing speed is awesome and the device is not heating up or other issues. Its very compatible and portable, I am using this in my Smart TV. The internal segate installs enable default software while using first time and that was so good to organize our back up, very user friendly. I suggest people to go for Dell HDD without any oscillation.

Small portable USB drives are commodity items nowadays: they all have similar design, similar performance. Even the innards(the drive itself)are made by only a handful of companies. As with any commodity item, price is king. This Dell drive caught my eye with a very aggressive "normal" price of$99, and was a steal when it went on sale for$75. Imagine-a TERABYTE portable drive, USB 3-for$75!

I was pleasantly surprised when I received the drive: it's thin-noticeably thinner than the other USB drives in my stable. It has a bit of a protruding "nose" that appears to house the USB 3 circuitry. It comes with a USB 3 cable-nice and short, and requires no external power supply. It does not come with a pouch. The quality of the plastic seems good, though the shiny black surface is bound to get scuffed if you toss it into a bag.

I don't expect exceptional performance for a drive in this class, though the USB 3 will really help(if you have a USB 3 port). This drive is destined to sit under my TV, connected to my Western Digital media player to serve up my movies.

All in all, I was looking for the lowest$/GB and this Dell certainly comes through in spades.

When it comes to Dell hard drive, they looks trendy and stylish. They also provide a good number of options with good data transfer rates and various storage capacities.

I also got charmed with their product and bought 1 TB external Hard disk. It was provided with 2 years of warranty to me. It was having good data transfer rates and I never faced an issue with it for around 2 years and 3 months.

One day to explore some of my data on hard drive, I plugged it into my laptop and it didn't get recognize. I tried multiple times but the result was same. I communicated to the Dell services center to get the issue resolved and narrated them the whole story.

They told me that product is having some hardware issue and it is needed to be diagnosed for that. They checked the serial number of my product and it was out of warranty. I asked them to pay for the repair cost, but then get a shocking revelation from their side that they don't even provide the paid service the products out of warranty.

Once it is out of warranty, then you will not get any ind of support from Dell and you have to get it operated from the external service providers. So, I will not recommend of using such products.

2.) Fast and Furious – The new Dell Portable Hard Disk comes with USB v3.0 which means a better speed and a better performance. At normal PC’s which doesn’t have high configurations, files are transferred at around 50-60 Mbps and for PC’s having a good configuration, the speed goes as high as 100 Mbps. Files of sizes 1 Gb or greater are transferred within a few seconds. This saves time and is great for people having less patience.

I got a dell portable hard drive 1tb from flipkart at 6500 in 2013, since then I have been frequently using this external hard drive. Since I handle a lot of digital files and high definition files I have to transfer them on the go. And with a 3.0 usb port this is very fast and transfers huge files very easily. The outer shell is very strong and also looks stylish plus the chord is also of average size and helps in keeping the HDD properly.

Inspite of using the product for more than 2  years I still haven't got a single problem and now I am planning to buy the 2tb version.

Stylish but  But disappointed about transfer speed. Written as 1.48Gbps with USB 3.0, I got max 90 mbps with USB 3.0 In windows 8 in Dell inspiron laptop.

there speed & look is too good & its backup power is too safe as safe. and it virus free . if u keep it safely is going to run with fun & just like data bag or pc hdd in your pocket. This hard disk is just plain BAD.

Issue #1: The read/ write speed slowly decreases over time.

The speed will start at 110/ 60 and then drop to slowly to 1/3rd of the speed. The good part is if it is a big file atleast it will transfer the file over.

Issue #2: Small Files transfer at very low speed: A small text file sometimes it takes ages. I have seen copy speed as low as 100 kb/s. It is understood that different files transfer at different speeds, but this is ridiculous.

Don't waste your money on this. I think Seagate sold all of its rejected HDs to Dell to make this product.

Friends, unfortunately I have to give a star so I am giving one, otherwise I would have given none. Flipkart also needs to have negative stars for absolutely abysmal products

The dell backup hard drive is delivered in good condition and it looks light weight stylish shape. The performance is too good right now.

Better u can go for seagate it worth the Money
