Three
years after first going live, MouthShut has launched a full-fledged
preview of its new look. The redesign of MouthShut had been on the
cards for the last six months, but we did not want to push the process.
Redesign for the sake of redesign is not a very good idea. Each and
every component of the new-look site had to be examined carefully.
The pros of redesigning an already well-established site had to be
measured against the cons.
The
idea of the redesign, dear friends, came from you. Your reviews on
the various facets of MouthShut, M2Ms and emails to yours truly and
Aarti Kapoor, as well as your emails to the support platform made
us realize the need for a complete revamp. The idea was not merely
to change the look and feel of MouthShut.com but also to improve its
usability.
For
almost six months, a dedicated team of designers, web programmers,
and usability experts worked relentlessly on the redesign process.
Now that you are familiar with the ‘new face’ of MouthShut,
we seek your invaluable comments and suggestions so that we can make
further improvements before the site well and truly goes ‘live’.
Soon you will receive a survey form from Zarca Interactive. Your feedback
on the new-look MouthShut.com would be highly appreciated.

I am sure everyone would agree that 2003 has been spectacular
for the competitive spirit within us. Contests are a great means
of bringing out the killer-instinct in each one of us. But what
has been unique about each of these contests is that our members
have competed with a great spirit. The competition has been
fierce, yet no one has ever begrudged the winner his rightful
place under the sun.
‘Books n’ Restaurants’
is the current contest on MouthShut. The response to this particular
contest has been awesome, to say the least. In view of this,
the management has decided to extend the last date of the contest
to August 20, 2003. |

MouthShut.com has expanded its outdoor campaign to many cities
in India. The original pilot in Bombay, which was value-based,
low-profile, and non-exorbitant—unlike many others’—brought
exciting results. We are looking forward to rolling it out to
many Indian cities as well as key cities overseas. Everyone
at MouthShut is very excited to have the opportunity to make
consumers aware of the power of their opinions and will make
this the focus of our campaign in the months to come. |

With your help and support we have effectively blocked the MS
ID of those whose emails did not appear to be genuine. The new
design has a built-in two-step verification system aimed to
prevent abuse of your destination on the Internet. We look forward
to your continued support in helping us provide an effective
and clean consumer-community platform. |
