I'm posting this review after a month of using this TV. I was considering purchase of a new TV since the beginning of this year and for a long time I just kept browsing through options that would fit in this price range and at last it boiled down to Samsung Q60R vs Sony X75H. The reason I chose this was because in every aspect except audio and Android OS this TV is equivalent ( if not superior) to the Sony X80H which is priced about 10k higher than the Q60R.
Picture: 10/10 for this range
Please note my purpose of buying this TV was for the picture to enjoy movies and gaming on PlayStation therefore my review is purely based on that. Having said that the picture quality of this TV is absolutely stunning. Full HD and 4K picture quality is excellent of course but what impressed me the most was the upscaling of SD content which looks quite fair. The contrast ratio of this TV is best in its class and colours are superb. Absolutely treat for eyes. As for gaming I couldn't have asked for a better TV at this price.
Sound: 7/10
Now I know that this TV isn't the best sounding one out there and some of the other owners might find a rating of 7 a little generous but my rationale here is that this TV has a crisp sound but lacking in the bass. You will still get really good audio while watching movies/series or gaming where I was actually impressed because I was able to hear a few distinct sounds which I'd only heard on good headphones. The bass is way too shallow though but thankfully not in an annoying way.
OS: 5/10
I'll just come out and say it - the OS on this TV is below average when it comes to apps. The selection of apps is limited and some of the less popular apps ( like Voot in my case) are buggy as hell. Netflix, Prime and DisneyHotstar run great on the platform though and I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the internet browse on this TV.
Bonus rating - Remote: 10/10
The look and feel of the remote are amazing but that not all. The buttons are well placed and navigation using the remote is very easy. There are dedicated buttons for Netflix and Prime as well.
