I bought this TV as first of mine. I was exited to see the picture quality and its sleek design in such a low price. I was convinced with the company also but surely have not inquired a lot about it.
I genrelly prefer to watch movies on TV so I preffered a good quality picture and good range of sound and Sanyo gave me both witin my budget. Apart from this it has all good features like
Flat Slim CRT TV
A2 & Digital NICAM Stereo
Surround System
Multi Language OSD (English, French, Russian, Arabic, Persian, Indonesian)
TOP/FLOF Teletext with 10 page memory
DVD Input & S-Video Input
Active Woofer Out
Plug & Play
Just after one month I started to see problems with its screen. The corners of the screen started fading and was showing some sort of greenish colors just as computer scenes shows when they are magnetized. I contacted the service center and Luckily they were very quick in responding.
The next day a technician was at my door he replaced some Capacitor and told me that this problem will not occur any more. But it again poped up just in 15 days. I called the service center again , this time also the response was very quick and my TV was repaired in two days.
I was satisfied with the service and was thanking to god at least I am getting good service :-)
Again my hard luck !!!! This problem doesn't seem to go away, this time I called the call center and also started to find answer to this issue. Although my TV got repaired but I was not sure that it will not pop up again... I did a lot a searching and found a workaround.
I was in practice of leaving the main plugged in always and I noticed that this problem occurs while the tv is running, and power goes out.
After observing this I started switching off the main power when TV is not in use.
I have not observed the problem since 6 months now. Looks like the workaround have worked.
Though the service is good but I guess no one would like have their TV serviced 3 times in just 3 months.. Not a recommendable Product
