Dont be misled by the Toyota - International, Japanese brand name. Under the hood its product & service levels are pathetic.
Dont believe that Japanese products will be good in electronics. They are dated and its only in India that we tolerate such poor quality standards while similar products in other markets are updated.
If you get in touch with their Customer Care, they will have the standard set of questions and then say that they will get back in 24 working hours but that does not happen because its their working hours and the Customer Care Department does not work at all. So they will never touch that bench mark.
They will direct the complaint to their Dealers who literally have the same DNA and they will also respond that any complaint will be attended and you will have to pay.
They will religiously call up to make your come for the paid service since their income is tied to that. But beyond that, you will have to break your bank to pay for their service( after spending a bomb in buying their vehicles) so that they can go laughing all the way to their banks.
The Crysta( top end) comes with GPS . Be prepared to buy the new GPS SIM card because this seems to be the intention of of TKM- reason, the SIM will be removed by the dealer and given to you during the free service period( 4 times) and by the end of it the card will malfunction .
The dealer will detect that the SIM is cracked( ideally it should not be removed - all the other cars in the market with GPS facility have a watertight slot so that you dont need to remove the same.
With Crysta, Toyota has a removable slot and they will not accept that it is their design flaw but will penalise the customer for the same.
Why will the customer crack the SIM when you know that its going to cost.
Several feed backs have been sent by the owners of Crysta but TKM is yet to act on the same.
More over, the entertainment panel is at least two generations old and not what you will associate with the new gen SUV costing about 28 lakhs.
Check other cars in the 10 -12 lakh range and you will know the difference.
Overall, its a poor experience of owning a Crysta but if you willing to be bullied by the callous, uncaring attitude of Toyota & its Customer Care go ahead. You will be poorer by 28 lakhs only.
- Thank You! We appreciate your effort.
