Toyota Etios GD SP

This car is One of the worst car from Toyota. very poor look n poor features. The car does n't keep any good qualities of Toyota. interior is very old type.

It is the low rated cars in its series.The car comes with many variant and in petrol and diesel. But none of them have a good value for money and performance.The only good thing is that the car is from Toyota.I don't like this car. for long run car is not comfortable. suspension is very poor. Dealer services are also poor.

Very nice car with reliability of togota, great engine, some less features but comfort, space and engine is awesome.main thing is that there is no maintenance.

Look and Style

Looks are plain and not much of style. It more than makes up for utility, ease of driving and comfort.

Comfort

10/10, Excellent comfort for driver and passengers(all 4). 3 adults can sit easily at the back. Very comfortable for a long drive, we don't get tired!

Pickup

Being a family sedan, pickup is not the criterion. Still the pickup in the city traffic, at signals is very good. The car responds well to sudden acceleration.

Mileage

Good mileage for Petrol sedan. Considering it carries 5 people and lot of luggage, city mileage of 14-16 kmpl and highway mileage of 16-18 kmpl is great.

Best Features

The engine is the best feature. Another good thing for the busy middle-class family is that you need to take this car to service only once a year or 10000 km. It is light on the pocket for maintenance. The engine just works without any complains, if maintained regularly and properly.

Needs to improve

Lovely car! will recommend to any middle-class family if you have parking place for a sedan!

Hello guys,

I would highly recommend this car to those who are not keen on looks but want a reliable work horse.

Exterior

It's just plain looks and no one will guess that it's a car of that price.

No eye-catching styling nor too much of chrome.

The only chrome part is the front grill.

Interior

Bland plain interior but does the job.

AC is powerful.

Only bad thing is  that the vents are placed one above the other.

Decent features.

Engine

The 1.5 L diesel is the motor that does the job.

Gives  a good 18 kmpl in city and  crosses the 20 mark on highway.

But it's not a power car so one has to plan before overtaking.

Comfort and Safety

Seats are very comfortable and can easily seat 3 at the back. And still has a large 595 l boot.

All 4 power windows, power steering, ac, rear defogger, remote locking, electric mirror, alloys etc. What else one needs?

ABS EBD  airbags etc.

Verdict

VFM car if one wants a frugal work horse.

Strictly not for those who want looks and a show off power car.

Hey guys, I have bought this car in march 2015, as I thought toyota is a premium brand, I too have better option in this price range like verna, honda city, maruti ciaz, .But I bought this one of a diesel variant 1.5 ltr. after buying 2nd day I reliaze that the audio system does not have aux feature which comes in which cars too, I bought VD model(medium) it should have that, though its sound quality is good.

Now lets talk about its pick-up, I must say I got very disappointed when I compare its pick-up with 6 lkh rps Maruti ritz, ritz has a much betterr pich up than etios, Yes we have much better option, Its not a family car, it is suitable for taxi only,

I am sharing my persona experience of my friend's etios. First of all lets talk about exterior. This car looks very stylish well finished I think it is made aerodynamically

The interior was luxurious with well furnished upholstery. Well spaced seats and attractive dock system. It is satisfactory mileage I think 20kmpl is more than enough for a sedan

I bought this car 3 and half years back, and I've been using it since. I loved this car, not on my first test drive, but after having tested other cars in its category, and when I took second test drive, I was in love with it since then.

Its light, easy to turn thanks to its power steering, and very very spacious. Its got the biggest boot space in its segment, and even if you fit in a CNG cylinder, it gives a lot of space for all your goods.

Cautioun, as like all other newer cars, its metal make is getting thinner which is easy to catch dents. Also the seats are thinner, but yet comfortable. Also, (maybe cause of my driving behaviour) I had to get the clutch plates replaced recently.

So in all, its a all rounder, and as to my review, I guess toyota has got it almost right!

Toyota has launched etios and liva before 4 year back. It is a good car for the Indian market conditions.

It launched in petrol as well as diesel. Its a 1.2 ltr petrol and car space very big inside.

It is more durable than other compititor and it also gives toyota quality product.

It is five seater and good mileage car.The design of toyota etios is unique in terms of dashboard, interior and exterior.

Compatible car with not so comfortable features. Toyota is known for its rough look and design and durability. We wanted to buy a new car and upon many discussions, we finalised Toyota Etios. The look of the car was much more better than its competitors keeping in mind safety and comfort at the same time. However, our happiness ruined when we started using it.

The major problem was the engine noise and mileage. Whenever we start the car there is a weird and irritating engine noise. The horn of the car is not very effective and feels low in sound. It needs to be upgraded. The gear shifting an transmission in m=not very smooth especially when I try to do reverse gear. The sad part is company promises of giving mileage of apprx 16 on highways but we hardly get 10KMPL on highways. It has made hole in our pocket fuel wise.

Our previous car gave us good mileage and was smooth while driving but Toyota Etios failed to meet up the expectations. I would suggest buying Hyundai i20 or Ford Figo in comparison to Toyota Etios.

Toyota Etios is one of the most considerable option among sedans under 10 lakh budget.

My brother-in-law bought the red color Toyota Etios 1.4 exclusive last month and we have enjoyed two long drives till now. The car was not so attractive but it is decent.

Seating is comfortable and the interior is quite spacious for spending long hours in it. Etios is well balanced and perfect family car, especially for those who like to go for a long run. The car has seating capacity for 5 people and run on diesel. The mileage of car is not competitive though its engine performance is appreciable. Other things like safety features, speaker performance, and dashboard look along with material quality is up to class and meeting standards.  On riding it on third gear you will experience the peak performance of this car.

Toyota Etios is one of the most affordable sedan you can get at this price and from the  respected brand like toyota.

It  looks are like a sedan car and are premium.in looks .

Initially when it was launched, it was not so attractive but Toyota has recently launched a refreshed version that looked to be stunning.

Last week I visited one of my relative’s place and they had bought an Etios few months back and they have done almost 10000 kms. I also took the opportunity to be on ride  with them  for few days. I'm sharing my experience as the Sophisticated looks and elegant style makes it very much noticeable and it will definitely stand out in the crowd but the interior is not up to the class and I think it needs to be improved but other features are awesome - you will not find more boot space in any sedan like this and also the rear row has lots of space. 3 people can sit comfortably and legroom is enough.

If you drive the car, it will also be a good experience. steering is feather touch, gear shifting n clutch is smooth. pick up is also very good which I have not expected. only one thing bad is on diesel version engine noise comes to cabin. it looks Toyota could not rectify it as in Innova has same issue. anyway, suspension is also soft, but due to this you will definitely feel the huge bumps( if face any) . About the mileage, my relative was praising all along and said that he gets around 18-19 kmpl on highways and 14-15 in his hometown with AC always on. oh yes, the AC cools the cabin within minute and my wife told me that it is better than our car( she sat on rear seat) . On reliability, I don’t have to tell anything about Toyota and my relative also endorsed my view. overall Etios is a good car to have. but saying that I got another problem, now my wife is pressing me to sell my car and get a Etios

It is a best and Comfort for a long journey, who want to travel for long hours, as per my experience traveled for almost four hrs. non spot on passenger seat, along with my 5 friends we 3 friends were sitting in the passenger seat. It has got a good leg groom we dint find any discomfort in our journey. I can say it is good for the Elderly person they seat on the passenger seat with comfortably.

Looks

Look is not that much attractive. However, if you see the front it give a luxury style whenever I see the chrome grilled face its make me smile it’s cute.

Well I bought Etios G petrol car on 1st May 2015. Now crossed 2000 km and writing the review. Etios is well balanced perfect family sedan car. If you does not worry about mileage and fancy items better consider Etios in your new car list. Its a best car from trusted & world toppest car maker.

Exterior:

Outside body doesn't have any stylish curve but have a decent & elegant look. front grille with crome insert and rear crome insert looks awesome.

Door handle looks odd & small children can easily open the door if unlocked. 15" wheel makes good performance on patholes. Foldable antenna, rear defrogger does their good job. Fog lamp & electric ORVM not included in G version. Interior(Features, Space & Comfort) Decent, Neat, simple look. not having any fancy items. Beige interior color makes more space and elegant look

Dual tone dashboard are good, the plastics are sold & better life Seat comforts are best. You will not get tired on longer trips. Steering wheel is well balanced design provies good grip on driving. Central console initialy does not look good but used to live with it. Speedometer with blue background looks elegant. Does not have miles to empty & fuel efficiency indicator. Digital fuel level indicator not proportionate properly. Digital meters looks like a school childern digital watch.

Music system not included but 2 front, 2 rear speakers & 2 tweeters installed. its a welcome addition(older models doesn't have rear speakers). Speakers are OK . Can not provide rocking sound from pioneer player. But more than enough for normal use. Boot space & bottle holders are remarkable. can not beat by any competitor. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Engine is best in class. Pulled my engine upto 140 kmph on Highway after 1500km odo. Good performance. Solid engine from toyota. Mileage is not upto the competitor. i'm getting avg 15 kmpl on highway(avg 80 - 90 km speed). superb gearbox ratio. In 3rd gear provdes very good speed range.Ride Quality & Handling. Steering is very light you will not get tired on long drive, best design from toyota.Clutch & brakes are very smooth(tried in diesel variant they are hard).Upto 100 kmph easiliy can drive the car, good stability even from light weight car.At 140 kmph loaded with 4 person, stability is ok but under control.

Tyre & engine noise inside cabin is greatly reduced from older versions. but not upto other competitors.Suspension is great. for ground clearance I will say till now didn't hit on any speed breaker even at 10kmph.ABS - EBS not included in G version. But toyota must install in all varient.Final Words As said before, Etios is sold true sedan car with some minor disadvantages.Areas of improvement Toyota must improve the engine to get better mileage. Cabin noise should be reduced to zero level. Digital meters & indicators must be fully replaced by high quality elegant look digital meters with more funtion. Door handles should be repalced with pull type handles.

NO NEED TO TALK MUCH ABOUT THIS CAR ITS A GREAT CAR BUT IT NEEDS SOME IMPROVEMENTS Engine power.metal guage.seat belt position is not comfirtable it makes some pain to my neck. speedo metre position is not satisfactory.

A good speedo metre is in innpva.tyre height is not satisfactory if we use nissan sunnys tyre it gives better driving comfort and sporty driving but a little suffering in fuel efficiency. I am using this car from 2011 newly purchased and I am very satisfied with this cars perfomance driving comfort and my dealer is nippon toyotta .they provide me very good after serviece.maintanance is cost is too low .on every 10000kms serviece I got a charge only between rs 2200 to rs 3500 only comparitively very low.engine sound is little high.and if engine power is upgrade to 80hp it is more comfirtable with 6 passengers and get more power in high range areas.breaking gear shifting and steering wheel is very smooth and giving more easy driving in long journeys too. I lov this vehicle and thanking toyotta engineers for making this good car.
