Tata Tiago

Tata Tiago 2019 model purchased 26Jan2020 .Total Kilometer run 18000 suddenly Ac is not working when they checked in service place they said AC Cooling coil and Ac condensor and Ac compressure have to replace it completly jammed which cost around 40 K .I Do know the reason when comparre with other car usually such type of issue may come after 45000 km running only. Then its a manufacure mistake quality defect in the car making....

From the first month after buying the car it consumed engine oil nearly after running 2300 km oil level gone down nobody sorted the problem and the dealer said to top-up every time. I do not recommend to go for tata also their servicing cost is very high. After 5 years most of the parts are replaced which are costly. I am totally feed up with my Tiago and going to sell it and again go for Suzuki.

I bought this car in 2016 Oct after a thorough search of competing models from Ford, Hyundai, Maruti. I bought the XZ model and it cost me Rs 5 lacs on the road. The only accessories I bought from the showroom were the rubber mats inside and the splash mudguards. I did not opt for the alloy wheels.

The car has been mostly trouble free. There was one problem in warranty relating to car stopping in idle mode. This happened 4-5 months after purchase. Accelerator would not work. The car had to be towed to the workshop twice as they could not identify the problem.

Finally they changed the throttle body(BOSCH) and it appeared that the problem was solved. However, this problem reappeared after 4 years early in 2021. This time it was again towed to the workshop and after 2 days they said that it was probably a problem in the wiring harness. After a thorough check they did not find any specific defect but the computer output showed no problem. I have used it now for 3 months and I feel that the problem is solved - whatever it was.

Other small issues are:

1. The AC vents are flimsy and the adjusted knob came off in three of the vents.

2. The pressure switch for the reversing indicator(which shows on the screen) stops working after sometime and must be replaced. It is not expensive but a nuisance. Apart from this there was no other problem.

The car gives a mileage of 13.5 km/l in the city with AC running and 18 to 19 on long runs. The MID odometer display shows 2 km/l higher mileage so I had to check with tank fill to tank fill method.

The best part of the car is the Harman entertainment system which gives superb sound - better than cars costing 10 lacs. Also, the handling and suspension are superb. I have owned Maruti's and Hondas and driven most of the sedans upto Rs 10 lacs but this car is better than most of them in handling and in soaking up imperfections on the road.

The boot size is good and the seats both in front and at the back are very comfortable. The gear shift is light and fairly smooth and clutch is also light. The car has ABS so braking is very effective and there is a lot of confidence while driving.

Lastly the body is made of reasonably thick metal sheet and the doors close with a solid sound. In a few minor accidents it feels like it is built like a tank. I believe it got 4 stars in the frontal crash test called GNCAP.

This is an update after 3 years. The car has done around 40000 km now in 6 years. Last 2 years was hardly anything thanks to the Pandemic. I have had no problems and the car is doing fine with regular servicing.

Tata tiago actually has very good driving dynamics the night golding is brilliant the handling is sorted and the tiago drives in a very mature man on the inside with a new steering wheel and digital instrument cluster which looks so so automatic climate control and Harman infotainment system the sound quality is good but the quality of the reverse camera could be better than Tata tiago takes most boxes were just design interiors comfort and driving dynamics and petrol engine is the only thing in the army here in this segment that Tiago is a car both considering and the four star global ncap rating is like a cherry on the cake

One Of The Best Car In This Segment. I own this car. One of the best cars in this segment. I choose this car because of its safety and mileage. it has a three-cylinder engine and is truly refined. No much cabin noise in the 2021 BSVI model. Perfect car for Indian road due to ground clearance. Value for money car.

It is the best budget hatchback having a lot of features. There is no sound issue but at neutral a slight vibration, you can feel at the gear, otherwise, it is not okay, it is perfect. I love the performance of this car on highway as well as in the city. It outranked all other carsin this segment. I love handling this car on the highway.

Am purchased 2016 april tiago XZ. car paint and body very sensitive door opener chrome finish coating removed in 6 months only

very bad experience concrode motor khairatabad hyd.am paid 10k for booking amount still not refunded till dt.12.12.2019 even mail to CEO also but no responses am purchased from Venkatramana motors Hyderabad and very important my car brekdown one of Sunday Tata service persons no one proper responded am not recommended vehicle.
