Tata Nano Twist XE

Excellent value & pretty good after sales service. Surprisingly good A/C & driving comfort. Great city car, far better than the new Maruti 800, at half price. Better engine tuning  can get better mileage than 15 KMPL . Claimed 25 KMPL false.

I drove 4 return trips to Chennai from Bangalore. Behaved like a breeze at 80 to 90 KMPH. I am sad that Indians fall for those Jap & Korean cars. Come on guys & gals, NANO is cute & well behaved Indian doll.

I purchased CX nano on 13 Feb, 2013 from Nagpur. Although I like this car, I feel there are serious concerns also. I see company claiming and people talking about mileage above 20 kms but I am hardly getting around 12kms. On first servicing I brought this point to engineers but no improvement. Still this is also not my major concern.

I am not surprised why 80% of nano cars are dashed and dented. The pillars on either side of the front wind screen are killers. While crossing an intersection or turning into a road, they almost completely obstruct your view. This is VERY DANGEROUS design flaw in this car.

This should be IMMEDIATELY taken care is my only request.

I am a very satisfied owner of Nano Jan 2013 Model. Recently I took it on a 190 Km drive from Lucknow to Kanpur and back. It gave me a mileage of 29 kmpl without AC. It was quite stable on the 4 lane highway. I would take it next to the hills.

If you are thinking about this car....go for it!

I bought the car in 2013 and when I started driving, turning is excellent, enter any street, since the top of the car is higher and the engine is back, car is cool, sometimes ac is not at all required.

Worth buying...Those who have seen old nano cars still are in their old presumptions. New nano much improved and goes up to 120 kms unlike the old one just 80 or 90.

I am using the nano since 2011 Aug. As of till date the car has never given me trouble neither in the city nor highways.best part of it is the mileage as compared to a diesel car I also an Indica Vista tdi which gives a mileage of 17 - 18 on highways.where as the nano gives around 22 with 100%a/c on.the maintenance practically nil when compared to vista tdi.

Also when compared to driving a vista tdi the nano seem to be effortless on driving. I mostly use the nano for city as parking is much easier. When compared with a maruti 800 its a much better technology. Only draw back is poor resale value. So if u buy a nano don't think of selling it.when comes to after sales service I live at Mumbai/Chembur M/S Wasan motors is close to my home.

Till date I m quite satisfied with their service also the 24 * 7 service is excellent.its any day better to buy a nano rather a buying any second hand car. trust me as the maintenance is practically nil, also from the time I have bought the vista tdi and nano I hardly have visited the local garage.my longest trip has been from Mumbai to Pune in the nano which cost Rs 1000/- (fuel expense) for a return trip with a/c on.

Also if u planning to buy any Diesel car the petrol is 100% low on maintenance as compared to CNG and Diesel.let me also tell u the cng reduces the engine life buy almost 50%.+lack of availability.

I have purchased Tata Nano 012 model it is awesome in std model I found a blower and it is giving me a mileage of 25 average I ran it at 100 speed it looks good and the height of the car makes me feel good it is easy to get in and out of car .

At first my friends and relatives asked me not to buy this car in spite of them I purchased they were shocked by seeing the performance and the height of car and I suggest all to buy a nano car it is good affording a good mileage and the turning radius is awesome.

-The steering is small ans cute which we can hold with one hand and it acts almost as power steering.

-The inner space of nano is good.

-Its interiors are also good.

-It has a good blower.

-It moves in small paths.

-Easy maintenance.

It continues to go on telling the nano I prefer every one to buy nano 100%. I have written this this on my own experience.

I have started my journey from Bangalore at around 4 am and reached Udupi at 1 pm, stopped one place for an hour covered 425 kms. While coming back I drove it from Udupi to Honnavar - Sirsi - Haveri-NH4-Bangalore covering 460 kms.

Visited Gokarna on the way. Covered almost 1200 kms. Nano is an super car for me as it didn't gave any problem. I drove on rough roads as well but vehicle is absolutely wonderful!

Kudos to Tata for giving such a world class product.Mileage 20 kms on highway.

TATA Nano - Dream Car of every Indian caught my fascination too when it was announced by Shri Ratan Tata. I had been to a shopping mall in Bangalore where it was displayed and a year later, I myself had bought one.

Nano is an awesome car. Though it is small, it is spacious when compared to cars in its segment. The Mileage is also nice and it is easy to Drive and Park this car. It also comes with Factory fitted A/C and Music System on the higher version. Contrary to popular belief, the higher version can make you buy 2 Nanos of Basic Version but the facility that comes with it is unbelievable. It has Fog Lamps, Central Locking, Front Power Windows, Digital Meter, Tubeless Tyres, Body colour Bumper to name a few.

TATA Finance gives you various options to buy this car. EMI is very much affordable. Now the good news is TATA has tied with few Credit Cards where you can buy basic version at 1 swipe and convert them into EMI for 12 months @ 8133 or so.Isn't it amazing? A Car for your own in 1 year at much affordable plan and rate?

I own a ford fiesta (2007) and also had an old zen which was now rundown and unreliable. Me and my wife both require a car for commuting to work so needed a reliable car for city driving (20 -30 km a day) without burning a hole in my pocket because our primary car for long distances still remains Ford which is a real fun to drive car. Test drove a 2011 NANO and rejected it, was looking for Alto or Eon when Nano 2012 was announced so test drove it again both me and my wife. Nano 2012 really impressed us and bought Nano LX (Top End) in Jul 2012 from Techno Motors Dwarka New Delhi.

Reasons for Purchase.

We have clocked 5000km in Nano without any problem infact have started loving the experience. Both of us swap our cars every fortnight and use Nano for routine visits to local market etc. Have been getting 16 to 19 kmpl with AC always on. Techno Motors Dwarka N Delhi and Tata helpline have been very cooperative and prompt in after sales services. Installed a tata branded music system (USB and tuner) which fits in nicely in the dash board.  Overall driving experience is great for the amount you pay (If I had that kind of money I would have bought a BMW)

I would recommend this car as a second car for city driving or even as a third car if you have a grown up college going kid who requires one. Nano is also an excellent car for working ladies or small families staying in cities for day to day commuting (people who are planing a second hand small car to upgrade from a two whealer I would recommend a New Nano). Although you can use it for long distances if this is the only car you own but it is really not designed for that (Comfort and Safety)

Very good for senior citizens because of ease of driving and easy ingress and egress.

It is a comfortable car for 4 adults very good leg room.

Engine is fairly responsive for its size. Gearing ratio has been adjusted to match with the speed range when changing from other cars have to get used to gear shift the speeds are a bit different for gear changing. 1st gear corresponds to 1st and lower end of 2nd gear of other cars 2nd is between standard 2nd upto 3rd and 4th can be taken as 4th to overdrive in other cars.

Overall a great value for money most of the negatives are minor and insignificant to the kind of usage we put our Nano to. (DO Rupiyae main poora Jungle Kharido ge Kya).

Well I am not really good at writing so my review might look disjointed at times hope it is useful to potential Nano buyers.

I bought Tata Nano LX Mojito Green from Tafe Access Ltd., Coimbatore on 01.02.2013. Overall dealer experience was good. Dealer given accessories: Floor Mats, Mud Flaps, Number Plate and Car Cover.

I drove the car 500 kms, it gave me 18 KPL in City and 23 KPL in High way(80% of the time with AC).

I would say Tata Nano is Best Priced or Value for money Car.

Purchase decision:

Initial consideration was Alto 800, Spark and Eon.

In my mind, always comes Cute Little Nano why not, whenever I saw in road, and then I went for test drive. Totally I convinced to Tata Nano 2012 LX model. After this, I discussing with family & friends. 95% of people said not to go. But my mind and heart fell on Tata Nano 2012. I am happy with Cute Little Tata Nano and made a good decision.

Reason/Pros:

1. Looks cute little from outside view, inside more spacious car.

   
   




2. More leg space for Front Seat passenger as well as Back Seat passenger and more head space.

   
   




3. AC works very fine. It chills the cabin very quickly in morning and evening.

   
   




4. Steering I felt easy for normal usage as well as parking speed may be due to Nano 2012 model.

   
   




5. Folding back seat now they gave only one strap needed to be pulled. It is easy.

   
   




6. More storage spots in doors, front passenger seats and two cup holders in front of gear leaver courtesy LX model.

   
   




7. Elderly people found this car easy to get in(ingress) and get out(egress).

   
   




8. Engine is smooth and good performance for city use. Engine sounds good. It is negligible inside the cabin. Initial period I found engine is louder.

   
   




9. Speed brakes never bottom up the car body. Big speed bumps gear should be shifted to 1st. 180 mm ground clearance like Scorpio.

   
   




10. Maneuverability in city is ease & peppy performance from engine. Highway I have not pushed her beyond 70 kph  occasionally 80 kph. Ride and handling is good. All wheel independent suspension makes cross bad roads easily.

    
    




11. Left wing mirror, front & back fog lamps, central locking which is good but not given in ALTO 800 high model as well.

    
    

Cons:

1. Fuel filling under the bonnet. Ignorable, opening and closing taken care by fuel filling person.

   
   




2. Sometimes I find rattling in left mirror if I drive 4th gear under 55 kph.

   
   




3. Small 15 liters fuel tank, but it is manageable

I am Satyajeet kadam from pune, I am a proud owner of TATA Nano-2012, I have bought this car in April-2012 and till date I have completed around 10000 km. The best part of the car is it gives a milage of around 23-25 KMPL in city and on highways its around 27-29 KMPL.

In order to achieve this milage you need to drive it with love and care. If you exceed you speed more than 85-90 then the milage drops down. The only drawback I found in this car was it a bit less on power and we only experience this while driving on ghat region or overtaking a bigger vehicle.

The space inside the car is just awesome, the first looks of the car might be underestimating it but you need to experience it then you will recognize what a master piece it is. With AC on its go's more down on power but we need to consider the limitations of car and the price at which it comes.

I not regretted a single time since I have bought this vehicle. The other problem is with TATA vehicle is after sales service. I truly believe its pathetic, and even the staff member are very arrogant.

I am fully satisfied with my NANO CX 2012, but beware of clutch disk, because it is smaller in size than other cars so if half class is used frequently while driving  than it may have to replace earlier.and cost you around Rs. 5000/-

This is my second review on Nano. Although the nano has less power to deliver, the nano makes no compromise on performance.

I zipped the nano through NH 4 from Bangalore to Goa and returned on a different route.    I traveled around 1450 km in two days. Average mileage was 23.45 km with AC. There was no issue while driving for 10-12 hours at a stretch too. The performance was amazing on the whole stretch with 90-105 km hr speed  range.

Many people enquired about why I did not buy  any other car. I told them the product is value for money. The nano does not cost much to own, drive and maintain. It is an innovation and a good product. The lower bracket price does not mean lack of research to design the vehicle.  The surprise part was that those who did not appreciate the car  had never experienced the nano from INSIDE.

Now the nano is top 10 selling car in India. I am also planning for buying Nano diesel in future (if it would come with 800 cc)

Remarkable point is that I can see slight positive change in Tata service. The service centers organize monthly free check up for nano too.  (Brought nano to the service center for free check up - usual oil//belt etc check up)

I bought a Nano Special edition on 12th Dec12. Till today I have driven 1000km and was amazed by its performance. I had taken a test drive of the earlier edition of Nano in 2010, and I can say there is a hell lot of difference between the 2 models. Nano 2012 is a much better car with improved power, less noise and vibration, upgraded features, improved mileage and most important Price.

Who can give you a vehicle with Power Window, AC, Music system ( special edition), Alloy wheel ( special edition) and so much space at just 2.2L.

I was driving a Alto LXI for last 4 years and when I bought a Nano 70% of people gave negative comments on it, and none of them have ever driven or even sat inside a Nano.

Believe me, driving a Nano gave me a much better feeling and road view than my Alto. I drove for 400kms with just one stop and got a mileage of 23+ on highways.

I recommend you go for it, as you will not get car at such a price with fully loaded features.

Its truly an engineering marvel.

My life has changed when a bought a new TATA NANO LX (PAPAYA ORANGE ) this last Deewali season.It has given me comfort driving in city .1075 kms , 600 kms city driving & 400 plus kms on highway.

I have bought a new nano on 7th nov 2012(NANO LX), I have done 5000km, Its a well supporting car for long trips it gives 27kmpl in highways and 24kmpl in city its inside space is good, more comfortable car. Thanks to ratan tata.

If you'r planing to buy a tata nano and  ur budget is tight.I suggest u to buy an auto not these worthless tata nano it aint worth 1.5 lakh. All those good reviews about tata nano trust me buddies. They don't know nothing about cars...or they gt mesmerized to buy a car fr 1.5 lakh..dont believe it. I took a test drive today coz my wife wanna buy a car and my budget is 2lakh and below thought of buying a nano.

After the test drive... the clutch was completely screwed up.when I pressed the clutch it was like pressing a rock with my foot.over all the car  ran around 500 kilometers n gear shift was hopeless . when I asked about it . the test drive guy said " its becoz its a test drive car" also, u cant adjust ur seat. cant see any road..even though it aint got bonnet..n im 5 feet.10 inches..no pick up..its a hopeless car...if I buy tata nano.

I will regret my entire life.

trust me I had tata indigo..for 5 years..there is not a single day. I had trouble with the car every day... after I crossed 20000 km... the car had trouble every single day. I bought it  for 6 lakhs in 2004 .. by 2007 I sold it for50000 Rs ..becoz nobody would buy it. Overall, TATA sucks !and so are his products. I think he recycles 2nd hand car goods and makes his "tata NANOO" so its a big NO NO.

Wanted to change my 7year old swift vxi (petrol) for a bigger diesel milager so booked a Duster in August . Opted to take it diring next Jan.

Meanwhile wanted a small car so bought a special addition Nano and sold my swift. But never thought tata would give me so much innovation at that price. Love the car!  Really they have reinvented a car. Worth it. If u need more my Mob 9980000618

Tata Nano One of the worlds best Innovation. Before going to Tata Nano LX. I owned a Hyundai santro, no doubt the car was awesome, but what really disappointed me was the mileage part, So I had to give up due to increase in fuel prices now and then as my basic necessity is city than long drives.

So after lot of search and Inquires, I found Tata Nano best for the city drive as its affordable and easy to drive in the heavy traffic Specially city like Bangalore.

To be honest I'm very happy of the vehicle as it completes all the needs and is almost maintenance free. I heard lot of people telling that I shouldn't go for it, as it would not be good.

But let me inform you I have never been disappointed by the vehicle not even once. I've even traveled to Mysore four times without facing any kind of problems.

So for the new owners who are looking out there to go for TATA NANO, Please go ahead and own one.........

I bought a Nano for my parents in March. The car has run about 500 Kms and it stopped working. The dealer took the car for repair and says that the Relay is burnt. I have been waiting for the last 1 week and they have not got the parts yet so my car is lying at the service station and no one is able to give me any info about when it will be repaired.

This is the first time in my life I have heard of a relay getting burnt and that too within 8 months and only 500 kms. The service stations tentativeness makes me more nervous.

Moreover, when I bought the car the dealer got it registered with an incomplete address. On pointing this out he blamed it on the Motor Vehicle department and refused to get it corrected. I know it is not a mistake of the Motor Vehicles because I have seen other cars in my locality with the correct address. The dealer just does nto care. Be careful when you buy.
