Tata Indica Vista Terra.Definitely Value for Money

I bought Tata Indica Vista Terra QJT in Aug and till now driven 1500 kms.I bought the car from Prerna Motors, Lalbagh Road.On the day of the delivery, staff could not tell me as to where I have to put the jack to change the wheel.Well, that was sorted out after a week.


Also, car was giving a strange noise whenever it goes on a speed breaker.Later checked it out myself that the fibre plate below the engine had broken and also the pipe adjacent to that had a dent.I was shocked and reported the next day.Later this was sorted out as well.


Recently did a long drive of around 575 kms, gave me mileage of 19 km/lt and in City driving 14km/lt.Maybe after my 1st Service it should give more.With the AC on, pick-up reduces a bit, but this is with other cars as well. Noise is very less, it does not feel like it is diesel Engine.Very spacious and certainly u feel like ur driving a monster in the shape of a car.


Overall, my experience with the car was very good and its a great Value for Money, but was not at all satisfied with the dealer.

Buy vista at tata showroom, but service elsewhere

I bought this car during dec 2008, may be one of the first lot of cars in chennai. Completed 28000 km. I am very much satisfied with this vehicle's performance on highways. in NH 45,  my car's performance is awesome.  milege around 18 kmpl, there were some problems in power window switches from day one, never set right by the service provided VST motors.  They simply say some switch to come from pune. otherwise,  their service is ok.  the vehicle starts rusting at particular points at apecific intervals  in hatchback door and in some fittings possibly due to poor metal treatment. But concorde, chennai refuses to attend on warranty telling the car is more than 2 years old. All  2 years old  cars are rusting?... Complaints to  tata motors didnt yield any results.


Very poor suspension design damages the bottom of the car in even little bad rads if I go with 3 persons.  my family accustomed to the sound they hear in speed breakers even at 2 kmph.  YET I LIKE VISTA Q AURA.  BUT DONT GIVE IT FOR SERVICE AT CONCORDE .  THEY USE YOUR VEHICLE FOR  FEW DAYS,  THEN TELL ONE ASTONISHING BUDGET AND EXPECT US TO SAY NO AND RETURN THE VEHICLE AFTER 3-4 DAYS.

I am the owner of a 2008 Tata Indica Vista Aura Quadrajet. As of today, I have driven only about 15, 000KM. Having owned/driven many different makes and models, I can say that Tata build quality is the worst. My Vista is spacious, is easy to get in-out and has good looks, but that's about it. The car rattles and squeaks coming from under the glove compartment.


The dealer tried to fix it, but the noise keeps returning. One more annoying thing is the windshield washer nozzles. They spray in all directions. I adjust the angle and it stays for some days, but acts up again. Another thing is the huge blind spot in the direction of right side ORVM because of the thick sloping pillar. I never faced this problem in any of my previous cars.


I don't recommend brand Tata to anyone.

The New Tata Indica Vista Quadrajet

I bought my New Indica Vista quadrajet (diesel version) and I am extremely happy with the car. I have totally given up travelling in my office bus to my work place. The only reason being, it's a very nice car. You name it and the car has it. Excepting for  the AIR BAG option, my VX model has everything. I love the ABS braking facility. The music system is fine.


The power of AC is good. The engine hardly makes any noise. The seats are very cozy. There's enoubh leg room and head room. In total, the car is fine. There's value for money, when you buy this car, unlike in the suzuki swift. I strongly recommend this car to those who are above 40 years of age, only because, youngsters cannot understand many things and you cannot reason it out with them on many fronts. It's  just for the looks and some false prestige that some people end up buying the suzuki swift. Utility wise, my choice is the best. Go in for NEW TATA INDICA VISTA QUADRAJET (VX) and I am sure, nobody will regret at any point of time.

Tata Indica Vista - Satisfactory performance

I bought the Indica Vista Aura(petrol version) nearly 2 years ago. At that time I had test driven several cars from various manufacturers in the small hatch category and I found that this was the best of the lot. I bought this car despite the fact that lot of people link this car to a taxi. In fact this turned to be a plus point because if this car can be a good taxi then surely it can be an excellent private car.  Taxi drivers are not crazy to buy a dodgy car.they are buying it because it must be performing well and must be reliable.


Pros




  1. Very spacious interiors.




  2. Comfortable drive. Soft pedals. Though the power steering is hydraulic and is not the best. Electronic power steering as found in the i20 is far superior.




  3. Good view of the road from the drivers seat




  4. Good value for the money spent.




  5. Best warranty offered(3yrs, 100, 000km). I was also offered free 2 year maintenance.




  6. So far has been reliable without any problems whatsoever.




  7. Decent A/c




  8. Good service facility offered by Tata dealer.




  9. I like the external styling of the car.






Cons




  1. Poor fuel efficiency. I get 9kmpl in the city with A/c on.




  2. Qualify of plastic used inside is suspect though only the glove compartment lock came apart(was promptly repaired by the Tata service for free)




  3. Boot space is small.




  4. Quality of the music system is not good as some of my CDs have gotten scratched simply by playing in the CD player in the car.




  5. Most importantly.rubbish engine.very noisy. Sounds like driving a diesel car.






To me the most important things about my car is 1. reliability 2. driving comfort 3. space. The indica vista ticks all of these and thus I will happily recommend to anyone.

There is not a single good TATA Service provider is Bangalore, they will change your car parts with damaged ones, they dont even wash your vehicle when you give for service.


They take 3 to 4 months to service the vehicle for the mistakes they do.


Even after reporting issues to TATA, they are least bothered about customers, better dont buy TATA Cars.


Value for money car from TATA for Indian families

After an elaborate look around with the available options(Maruti Swift new model, Skoda Fabia, Ford Figo Titanium Diesel etc) in this segment at Bangalore, my eyes finally caught and hooked on the Tata Indica Vista Quadrajet VX(Diesel) model with ABS. When compared to the Maruti Swift new model, it was ready available with Prerana Motors, Lalbagh Road, Bangalore(Tel 400 111 11) whose marketing team(especially Mr. Vinay B / Executive Sales and Ms. Deepa S / Dy Manager Sales- who served me), I rate well in this deal.


Two reasons I opted out of Maruti Swift new model was the long waiting period they projected(4 months!)(which according to me is a created one by pre-release of the new model before reaching sufficient stock in sales outlets) and also lack of leg space for rear passenger.


The car given for test drive performed well eventhough it was a lower model and had already been on the road for some kilometers. It motivated me further to go in for the new model with added features and ABS.


The processing and delivery procedures were smooth and the team delivered the vehicle as they promised and on to the Bangalore traffic on a working day evening with heavy rain, I found it, really enjoyable to drive on with friends and family. The gear shifts was smooth and we took an extended drive in the city and suburb to get a feel of it.


I wish TATA had kept a better horn and that was the only drawback and thoughts at that point of time.


Options I liked: - Fog lamps, good quality and provides adequate lighting. Tilt option for steering. Steering mount controls for audio. Multi speed option for wipers and different intensity lighting for head lamps. Extra Charger connectivity option at the rear, which is a utility option. Clearly visible speedometer console unit. I also liked the feature which restricts the engine to start without pressing the clutch. This provides additional safety in case children turns the switch on in gear and may result in an accident, which is now not possible.  If the front wiper is on, and the car is put in reverse gear the rear wiper will work automatically to give a clear view behind. Space inside is excellent and comfortable for front and rear passengers, of height and size.


Pricing according to me is competitive and affordable for normal Indian families who could own a reliable product with service outlet anywhere in India and with a car with many of the modern features. As there is no limit to expectations one can have, TATA has delivered a good product this time.


I rate the car as well as the dealer and marketing team at this point of time for the service and performance.

I bought my Indica Vista Aqua Quadrajet BS IV on 2nd August 2010. Now it has completed 17000 kms. After reading a number of reviews and doing enough research I made my decision. Now, I think my decision was right.


When I first sought the opinion of my friends, all of them were against TATA. Then I went through reviews in different forums, made direct contacts with people who own a Vista QJet and local car service engineers and then booked Vista. From then onwards, I was thinking of writing my own review and here it is exactly after completing 1 year with my Vista…


I am a private owner and my primary considerations were – price, space, mileage and less maintenance.


Price: **I got my Vista on road with 4, 95, 000/- inclusive of 2 years extended warranty.(Insurance was free, and I got Rs.3000/- less as part of corporate offer). At that time(now also), I think no one else in the market can give such a car for the price below 5 lacs.


Space: **At present, no one else in the market can provide such a spacious car in its category. 3 fat/ 4 normal sized people can comfortably sit in the back seat. Very good leg space. According to many of my friends the seating comfort in the rear is very good compared to Punto, Figo, etc.


Mileage:** TATA says it is around 21 – 22. However I get an average of 18, which I think is sensible enough with Diesel.


Maintenance: **Now, Having completed around 17, 000 kilometers; till now, I have not faced any major issues. Some of the issues I faced are: damage of combination switch, demister switch, lights on power window switch and rear door lock and all of them are covered under the warranty. Sometimes, I can hear some noise from within the dash board and from both suspensions. However, this is not happening always. It is true that the quality of electrical parts, interior plastic parts are not up to the standard.


Power: **Excellent power and pickup. Over taking is very smooth. Gear shift is a little tight; still it is ok to manage.


Conclusion:*


I would recommend this car to anyone who seeks for a good family car at comparatively low price. There can be some minor irritating issues due to the low quality of electrical and plastic parts used. But these are not going to stop the show. I think the All New Vista(in market from Sept 2011 onwards) has rectified all these minor defects – probably TATA is continuously improving the model. Forget about this model – if you are going to use this car as a racing machine. I think no diesel model is designed for that J

Dont Buy this car, worst car

I bought a Vista Safire in Jan 2011. Within 1500 Kms, both the front shock absorbers have gone bad. Even though the dealer replaced both, I still find the car very uncomfortable on humps and potholes. Mileage is also very less. All sort of noise in the cabin, the plastic parts are very bad. Made a big mistake in buying this car. Dont buy this car. I pity the dealers as they dont have a option than getting scoldings from the owners as the design of this car itself is defective. No more tata cars for me nor I suggest anyone on this forum. Dont repent later like me:(

Vista experience from day 1 to 365th day :-)

I am a very satisfied owner of TATA indica vista. I would like to share my experience with the vehicle from day one to 365th day.


1) package I got for aura model


i got free insurance which would have other wise costed me 11k easily, sunfilm for windows, car cover and a god idol. for which I was very happy.


2)Day 1 to 365 :-)


Then comes day one the day when I took the delivery of my car.i was very exited about it. as I had just learnt to drive I had taken my cousin to take the delivery of my car in concord motors Dairy circle Bangalore.


Firstly I was very disappointed  to see the interiors of the car as they had marketed me Aura model showing interiors of Aura+ which was coming in brown & beige colour. then the marketing executive asked sorry for that and told even he was not knowing abt this. now I dint have a chance to change the model. After that I inspected the car for any physical damage, as expected I found 3 scratches out of which 2 were major, then I checked electrical parts for its functioning / intended use, headlights were ok high beam was working fine, front wiper was working fine front fog lamps were working fine, music system was working fine, rear wiper failed to work, rear fog light failed to work, I was shocked what is PDI then if no body is checking for quality of product that is delivered then why r they keeping that department. I highlighted all these issue in delivery form, they then promised to rectify it. After this there was a photo session, then I drove my car home with lots of dissatisfaction. while driving back home it was 7 o clock and we had to switch on the light. then we noticed that if we switch on the light interior lights were not working. I felt that I have payed 5.86 lakhs for a piece of s**t, then I called the sales executive and shouted at him. Poor fellow he had to get scolding for mistake of others. Then he promised me what ever it may take he will get all the problems rectified the next day if I can get the vehicle to service center. Next day I took the car to service center and my 1/2 day was gone but all problems were rectified. Thanks to sales executive (Mr. Divya kumar) for taking all the pain.


The car was all ok they changed Combination switch,  Rear wiper and got scratches rectified now I was happy.


After completing around 900 kms I had to give the car for 1st service, there were list of some 18 problems, out of which I am highlightingonly very major ones.


1.)     Steering was making some hissing noise when fully turned towards left .


2.)    Lights of all power windows switches were not working


Trust me you wont belive for this small problem which could have been revtified with some small tuning they replaced steering column & all switches.:-)


1St service was awesome.. after that it was very exciting to drive the car. We went to our native place. I never felt like stopping the car even for a tea break. every time I push the accelerator peddle the car was behaving like a rocket. Maintaining the car speed at 100kmph was so difficult. even if I push the peddle slightly also it would bounce 120+kmph speed. That trip was very exiting. In that trip I clocked 2000 kms in 5 days. tat trip involved all type of roads Good Bad and worst.. and the car handled all roads like a boss. every time I take the car out the driving exp will be exiting. In city beating i10, i20, swift Vdi and all is really  fun once the turbo kicks in.

Out of which I have driven swift, ford figo, Punto & indica vista


Driving is very exiting in swift & vista but very very sluggish in punto & too sluggish & noisy in figo.


If you consider the package what you get for money you pay Vista & Figo are good


If you are very much considered about looks Swift, Punto & i20 are the best choice.


But my personal experience when comparing these cars is though TATA indica vista lacks perfection in fit & finish it is made to handle worst / extreme Indian conditions.


I have seen swift which gets a lot of ratteling noice from all corners in side the cabin after handeling worst road trip.


I have seen my friends Ford figos rear spring which got cut while handling worst road while returning from hampi.


But my car handled all these roads very well.


One thing I have noticed about this cars greatest drawback is the rims. rims of this car is very week. I dont know if it is purposefully made or wat, but even a small pot hole at a speed of 50 to 60Kmph is enough to bend it.


Though I was dissatisfied on the 1st day itself now I m really happy for buying this car.


i have clocked 10000 kms till now and even now I get new car feeling.


Today I have left it for 3rd service.. I will update you the condition of vehicle once I get it back.


Update..


after 3rd service the car performance is even more better, I feel car is super smooth, fuel economy I got after service is around 19.5kmpl on highway & 15kmpl in city.


i could clock a top speed of 175 KmPh on Bangalore Hyderabad highway.


I have opted for AMC so service cost was 0 rupees, I had asked them to install 1 low pitch horn for which I had to pay 450 Rs including labor charges & tax.


under Gold AMC oil change is covered, they have used 15 w 40 Castrol mineral oil.


FYI under gold AMC parts such as wiper blades, hose pipes, brake pads, coolant, brake fluid, Engine oil, and other consumables are covered. also service charges / labor charges are covered.

Indica Vista is nothing but a small truck.


U really need big muscles to drive this car as the clutch and power steering are pathetic and need a lot of power to drive this car round--worse--dada motors in ludhiana have no calibre to repair it . everytime we go to the service station there are only lame excuses and no work. One problem is always followed by another and there is never a day without tension if this car will go or not.


Never buy this mini truck.

The ground clearence is not at all good and, the eletrical of that car is also very bad and  the ac is very bad due to that  pick up is also  very poor  and  rest of them is fine and u have to change the petrol meter that also we cannot find the tank is full  or some wt empty.


That the indica car service center are also not be good and after giving for one day service  they will take for 3 to  4 days that much nice performance.


And if I not put rating it will not take my review  so I put full review other wise I wil give its bad.

Indica Vista Quadrajet Aura ABS drivetech 4

Currently I am driving my Vista quadrajet Aura ABS(top model) for last 1month and completed 1900kms. After using Hyundai petrol cars(Santro 2.2years and i10 1.9 years), I shifted to diesel car just for budget purpose.


(Comparing Petrol car @11kmpl and diesel @15kmpl, per km savings is Rs. 3.33.)


Initially I was comparing the diesel cars between FIGO, SWIFT and VISTA.


Did not go for Figo: too low car, mileage not good, no fog lamp, no rear power window, rear windows can not open fully and doors can be opened by pulling the door handle from inside when the car is running(without using child safety lock in the rear only). Cost is high than Vista in comparison to car features and accessories.


Swift: Driver’s vision from inside to rear is not very clear, felt like sitting in a cockpit(The pilot has many facilities to land the aircraft, but you are responsible for saving your car and a**). Need more visibility and estimation of the car when driving a city like Kolkata. Waiting period is 2-3 months.


Now, my first diesel car has completed its first service(1500kms) and mileage I am getting is 12.1kmpl(hope this will be increased gradually). This is a fully loaded car with music system, speakers, central locking, fog lamp, tilt steering, hight adjustable driver’s seat, read wiper- washer, defogger etc. the car has excellent pickup, comfort and stability. Engine is almost soundless and the body of the car is made of better quality of metal comparing to Hyundai or maruti. If you drive maruti or Hyundai, you will hear the music of raindrops inside the car in heavy raining, but in vista you will miss that(If you like the rain drop music inside the car you have above choice J) . The new black and beige interior colors are good comparing the previous grey combinations. Another feature of this car is central locking with automatic door lock which is not mentioned in the car’s manual(reason I don’t’ know). If your car cross 10km/h speed, the doors get automatchandru021y locked from inside(good safety feature).


Pros: good pickup, stability and comfort


Central locking with auto lock feature.


Performance of quadrajet engine is very good, even it has a very less noise and vibration.


Very spacious, back seat accommodate upto 4 person comfortably(Not in Amby way).


Cons: Poor after sales service & support


Dealers satisfaction is in level 0.


Rubber quality the overall finishing is very poor(never feel it is a 6lakhs car).


Music system is not up to the mark(planning to install amplifier with additional speakers)


Turning radius is very poor.


Front seats are less comfortable.


Now, some thoughts about the dealer(Lexus motor). I really feel very lucky by founding a worst dealer. First, the car was delivered to me after 31days while they promise me to deliver within 15-20days. At the time of delivery I found the back door lock has broken and the fuel lead is also broken. However, they replaced those immediately. After taking the delivery I found the front Wiper washer is not functioning and to rectify the problem I went to showroom. But they sent me to the service center. This proves they do not have any quality checking before delivering the car to customtakeouter. I found, the car has completed 105kms(according to ODO) while taking delivery. When I asked, they told me, they do not have parking in the showroom, so they put this car at Singur which is to 30 kms long from the showroom. At the time of receiving the car, I could not found the plastic covers on doors or dashboard or console panel. The door fabric trims were dirty. No result by asking the dealer person to clean those, rather I found 2-3 dealer persons for asking the ‘TIPS” when I am ready to take the car from showroom. I exchanged my old car with the dealer. The settlement process for the old car(repayment of the balance amount by cheque) took another 15 days to be completed. Everyday I used to call up them to ask about the payment status, and the usual answer was, sorry sir, the cheque is not yet ready. Another worst dealer action. I gave them the loan sanction letter and DO letter from the financer on 17th and car was delivered to me on 29th. But they made the invoice dated 17th only, which is a loss of almost 10-12 days(ideally the invoice date should be the date before it was sending for the registration). I purchased extended warrantee from the dealer, but they do not have the card payment facility at their showroom for the same(cash only). Overall I can say, the tata motors must be loosing customtakeouters due to this kind of poor performance from dealers/showrooms.


To summarize the car is overall good and real value for money but the dealers and service satisfaction factors are very poor in nature.

Never ever buy the TATA Indica Vista Quadrajet car.'Warranty is just for the name sake.'


While driving the car, if a truck happens to come in front, better hit it rather than saving yourself and car.


This is what'Tata Motors co.' seems to be saying to it's customers.


While my driver was driving the car at night, a truck came all of a sudden in front, the driver to save, took sharp turn, in the process a stone hit the car from beneath.


Little oil spillage was noticed next day, we took the car to service centre.Company took 4000/- and said car is ok.However when smoke started coming out of car next day, we took it to them and they said, engine and turbo are damaged and they won't be covered under warranty, as it is a case of'under body hit'


Does that mean that to avail free repair under warranty or Insurance we should have have hit the truck.


There is no response from the company or dealer.Very poor after sales service.


Refresh with Tata Vista QJD Drivetech4 Aura ABS

After lots of research through internet, actual dealership visits, Test drive of various makes, finally zeroed on Vista QJD Aura ABS. It is the only car which can satisfy my requirements-




  1. It must be a Diesel Hatch- Huge difference in Petrol and Diesel Prices makes sense when you are planning to drive your vehicle around 2000 kms or more in a month. - Toyota Liva out of list.




  2. Rear seat should accommodate 3 adults and they should be feeling Comfort! Most of the times rear seat passengers are senior citizens.(Swift, Ritz, Figo out of list)




  3. It should have safety features like ABS EBD. Comes only in top variant and the cost difference with other makes is considerable.




  4. All four power windows are a must.(With driver override control), Figo out of competition.




  5. Should have FE of 20+.




  6. Should have inbuilt features like ICE.




  7. Price should be below 6.0 lacks. Not a budget constraint but it has relation with insurance premium which needs to be paid every year.




  8. Decent looks- Ritz out of choice.




  9. Should have warranty period of at least 4 years with affordable extended warranty cost.




  10. Should have longer maintenance cycles- Lower ownership cost.




  11. After Sales Service should have nationwide presence and it should be prompt- was only worried about ASS-this point but got convinced after discussing with friends and sharing their experiences.






So the short listing resulted in booking All new Vista Aura ABS, also got the free insurance plus corporate discount of 5k, in addition to that got the loan @9%. Which was a dealmaker point too; with this amount saved I can spend that on enhancements accessories and Diesel for a year.


I have narrated above till the booking decision and basis for that, now the experience- well initial experience with dealership was good, Tata Has improved for sure in customtakeouter response but this joy didn’t lasted long. I booked for After Glow color and was expecting delivery in 10-15 days time, on 15th day exactly the surprise came instead of the Car, an email from Tata Motors that they have discontinued the color I had ordered.


I was furious immediately called the dealership I was about to cancel the booking, then calmed myself and asked for alternative and delivery period, fortunately porcelain White was available and I got the delivery in 4 days.


I was happy to get it delivered, but again that happiness doesn’t lasted long, I asked the dealership to deliver the vehicle in the morning around 10, made the confirmation on phone at least 4 times, the sales guy was very confident, I took a day off from office and my better half opt for half day(which was a wrong decision in the end) my daughter skipped her preschool.


We were about to leave home and I got a call from dealership and they asked me come around 11.00, I asked them what is the reason the answer was They are fitting Mud Flaps and floor mats(which hardly take 10 mins) I agreed and went there around 12.15 instead of 11gave them the sufficient time(Along with the all the material for POOJA and sweets and small gifts for sales guy and delivery guy), but again it was a shocker the vehicle was not there at showroom, the delivery person in charge A lady( Strange!), told me that the vehicle will come within 10 -15 mins, I was very furious, asked her the reason she told me that there was some problem with Engine Hood and they needed to replace the cable, and for that they have taken the vehicle to workshop, it was beyond my control .


Straightly I walked into Showroom Manager's Cabin, asked him the clarification, I was smelling like something fishy is going on, he assured me that there was a genuine problem and promised me that he will personally look into it. In next 15 mins vehicle was there! They started cleaning the vehicle and preparation for Pooja.


One of the guys was cleaning my car with a dirty rough towel as soon as I noticed it I literally shouted on him and asked them to stop cleaning if they don’t know proper method. Finally I checked it by all means, each and every function, found two faults, Fuel tank lid had a Minor problem and the front door also had a very minor problem. The service guy took the photographs of both the problems I Noticed and Promised me to do it Free of cost along with complementary washing and cleaning of the vehicle to my satisfaction whenever I want! I made him call the GM of workshop and confirmed the same.


Well things settled down immediately, I checked ODO it was clicked to 59 Kms which was within acceptable limits, considering two trips from workshop to showroom and one trip to RTO(Which I am not sure of- If it is Mandatory) Finally I completed the documentation, done the Pooja and took charge of the mini cockpit. All my anger melted down as I turned the key. It was great experience I drove her to home, at round 3 pm and wife could not attend her office in second half as planned. Checked all the possible thing once again, everything was in order and as Expected.


Next thing was to put sun controls films- Reputed shop is next to my door and I know the owners, Put sun control film named Global a new brand from US, Diamond 50, for rear and windows and Safire 70 for front windscreen both have very good heat rejection properties and 3 years warranty Combo cost of 5.5 K. Also installed reverse sensors along with LCD display unit cost me @ 3.2k. Also added additional floor mats, sill plate for all four doors, Dashboard trim - wooden finish which was demanded by home ministry. Finalized seat cover leather color and design and ordered them, had a look at various alloy wheel designs couldn’t finalize the design though was in bit confusion. Will decide soon on that.


The next day I got the Number plates fixed dealership people were very polite.


I drove her for 200 kms in 3 days experience was pretty good par expectation, FE was also good haven’t checked exactly though. Important thing was there was not a single rattling sound inside cabin. Neither any unseal sound from outside the car. AC is extremely good, Beige interiors looks stunning. Everyone else in the family enjoyed the rear seat comfort and they are amazed with it, except me, No one drives in family except me very rare chances for me to get into rear seat.


Well regarding the overall driving experience, engine is butter smooth doesn’t feel like driving a diesel car, I used to drive Maruti 800 and Esteem for last 5 Mears. It’s the same 1.3L Quadrajet engine by Fiat which installed under the hood of Swift, Ritz, Dzire, Manza, In addition to that New Vista enjoys a all new Drivetech4, 5 speed gearbox by Fiat under the belt, which make the drive really pleasant, ABS and EBD enhances the braking, haven’t done any harsh braking though but normal braking effect is good, I believe it is far superior than earlier version of Vista. Blaupukant ICE with Blue & Me is also very effective, Centrally Mounted instrument cluster feels little odd for few hours of driving once u get used it, it feels normal.


To summarize it’s a real Value for money car, what else one can expect in Rs 6 lac car. Let’s hope that TATA Improves it’s after sales service

==Recurring problems with Power windows, AC cooling & air inlet/outlet motor, Bumper alignment & body noises. ==WHEN CONTACTED FOR REPAIRS AS TOLD BY COMPANY SHOWROOM & WORKSHOP FROM WHOM THE CAR WAS BOUGHT THAT THESE ARE COMMON MANUFACTURING DEFECTS OF VISTA BEING FACED MY MANY. IN-SPITE OF REGULARLY REGISTERING COMPLAINTS WITH THE COMPANY SHOWROOM & WORKSHOP(Kamal & Co., Jaipur) OF THESE RECURRING MANUFACTURING DEFECTS NO REPLACEMENT OR PROPER REPAIR HAS BEEN DONE, ON THE CONTRARY I WAS TOLD NOW THAT YOUR CAR"s WARRANTY WILL BE OVER SOON THAN ONWARD YOU WILL HAVE TO BEAR THE COST FOR FURTHER EXPENSES.


If you are buying a TATA vehicle be prepared for Zero after sales support. Oh yes I recollect when I bought the car a promotional scheme was being run of scratch card & I was assured that you will be informed when your gift will come it's been almost two years I have not received the call till date.


Everything written by me can be checked & confirmed by anyone as the vehicle history is maintained by the workshop & job-cards are made. Even when I received the follow-up calls from the company regarding the services I registered the complains time & again.

I am having maruti swift also so i thought to purchase indica vista quadrajet


Beleive me this is much more spacious, comfortable, very good in milege and ac.. Toooooo good


I loved this car so much that i have driven this car to 4300km in just 35 days


I went to srinagar, gulmarg, pehalgaon, sonmarg , chandigarh, ferozepur, ropar from ludhiana in just 1 month and i found this car very very comfortable and i will surely recomend this car much above maruti swift

Poor car, my vista qudrajet give a poor mileage near 13-14, and also its ac compressor down after 5000 km or running.


I am still not satisfied with tata service, they are lier to sell there cars, when I buy car they told me manufacturing date is October 2010, but when I have RC book its was manufactured in may 2010, so they lie to sell there car and also not able to maintain my car service, better not to buy TATA.

I have to face more than 5 times a breakdown in the middle of delhi Traffic.and I just drove my car as yet 8300 KMS. Another TATA dead elephant.




  1. ENgine defects: it has a Hi-Tech Engine like TATA People say and it specialty that it breakdown any time that`s why they called it hi-Tech. Dead elephant.




you may notice one thing very easily that TATA employees itself don't buy TATA Vehicle bcos they know what crap they are producing.




  1. If any thing hits from the down it fails miserable in terms of tuning, performance, may even breakdown too.




  2. No outside mechanic can handle this car as it can only be checked with LAPTOP OR COMPUTER.




  3. Uncomfortable front seat in city as well as on highway driving. keeps you always on attention mode.  Like the TAXI drivers required.




  4. TATA desrve to make only the TAXI  or commercial vehicles but this TATA INDICA VISTA or Manza do not even deserve to be a TAXI.






I am sure that this new TATA sshhhit invention will fail very soon and you will see no buyer in the market soon.


TATA people only know how to make a customer fool. That`s the best thing TATA can do.


Spoiling the INDIAN NAME by producing such a bullssshit crap.

Worst car i have ever experienced

I purchased a INDICA VISTA QUADRAJET  IN 23RD DEC-2011 From the Dhingra MOTORS GURGAON. I live in janak puri New Delhi.  This is the worst car I have ever experienced as it get breakdown at any time in middle of journey / road and you will have to face many times a embarrasment, specially in a delhi trafic. Its really pathetic.
