Apr 29, 2015 04:33 PM 50456 Views

Another masterpeice came Maruti Suzuki., not just a car, .its a gift from maruti to all its valuable customers.

Exteriors are just too good., especially the rear boomerang headlights are just awesome

Good interiors.the front and rear legroom is wide and seats are comfortable., the headroom given is also great.interior of the car gives you a feel of driving a SUV Three passengers can easily sit on the backseat which makes it a good family car.

Chilling AC.the placement of RPM meter is good. Engine is too awesome., you can feel the power while driving.Company claims an impressive fuel efficiency of 18 kmpl

You can bring the car of the year RITZ to your doorstep at just Rs 4.39 - 6.38 lakhs(Ex DELHI) which is according to me very reasonable for a spacious, powerful, beautiful and economical car.DONT THINK JUST BUY!

Clutch Pedal problem with maurti Ritz
Apr 01, 2015 12:19 PM 64780 Views

I purchased Ritz in Jan 2015. My driving experience with Ritz isn't good.Ritz is good car in terms of performance and mileage but its clutch pedal problem making my driving experience worst. Its clutch pedal is placed a bit high and its cause ankle pain.

Before purchasing Ritz, I took one TD but could not notice this clutch pedal position otherwise I have reverted my decision to buy Ritz car. Lot of other Ritz owner also have same problem.

Ritz VXI excellent car
Feb 14, 2015 10:18 PM 66710 Views

I am using Ritz VXI since February 2015. I am very happy with the car. So far no major issues, with the car.  I run around 65000 km so far. Still going strong. Millage is 15-17km depending on the climate and use of ac. Minor problems I had was some cracking sound.

It was promptly rectified by the service centre. Changed clutch at 45000 km.changed yes at 64000 km.  No other expenses other than service expense. So far no rusting or other similar issues. I am very happy with the car.

Rusting and pathetic quality components in RitzVxi
Jan 06, 2015 11:51 PM 80246 Views

Ritz vxi was purchased in 2011 as we required a hatchback for local runs in Mumbai

This is not our first vehicle.

Currently we have

Audi A4( 2012 model  -7000 kms done),

Toyota Corolla(2007 model -55000 kms run)

Ritz VXi( 2011 model, 12000 kms run)

Hyundai i10 Kappa2(2011 model, 50000 kms)

Previous vehicles:

2002 - Hyundai Accent( sold 2007, 60000 kms)

2011 - Ritz vdi( Bangalore, sold 2013, 45000 kms good that I sold it with 2 years else god only knows what failures I would have had to see. I've written a review on my Ritz vdi on mouthshut)

We had problem with Ritz vxi from first month of ownership

  1. Burning smell coming while running . This was present from the first day, service centre people never able to find out, it went when I replaced clutch at my own expense at 10000 kms, I have never changed clutch in any of my previous cars . service centre people telling that I don't know to drive . Maruti always right in commenting when I never faced this issue in any of the other cars and still going strong .Mileage was around 8 kms in city from day one till we changed the clutch at 10000 kms . This shows that the car had a faulty clutch from beginning

  2. Wiper motor had to be replaced as it got rusted( within 2 yrs of ownership, never I have changed this in any of my cars)

  3. Clutch and all the components had to be replaced at 10000 kms( Ten Thousand Kms had to spend around Rs.8000 for this). After replacing clutch, mileage is 14 in city with AC, 18-19 on highway

  4. Body panels have already started rusting, all the 4 window pane steel panel have rusted,

  5. Fuel gauge developed error, now a days it never shows full . even if I fill it to top also, it will show 1 or 2 blocks less, Pathetic quality control from Maruti. This was working properly in the beginning

Can anyone imagine this?

All cars are parking at same place inside my building and none of my vehicle has got rusted anywhere expect Ritz.

Even after have driving experience on so many cars, none of the vehicle clutch plates had to be changed anytime till I sell the car

Maruti service centre people will tell that driving is not proper so clutch is gone bad, this is inspite Ritz is driven mostly single person and you can see how less its being driven around( 10000 kms / 3 yrs= 3333 kms per yrs)

Most of the companies have gear box oil change interval of 1 lakh kms, but maruti had 20000 kms, This should make customers realize the poor quality of oil used by them.

Many have body antirust warranty for 6+ years, I don't even think Maruti will offer this . They can't as they know about their quality of parts

Maruti sells vehicles with very poor parts and puts blame on customer for their failure, Need to see how long does this company run like this . I will never recommend Maruti products to any of my friends nor family members and even in my company will let my colleagues know about the pathetic quality . Guys never buy Maruti, their diesel car sells just due to FIAT engine, else they would have lost the market by now

I will submit n number of pics if any one wants to see the rusting issue, never buy( vehicle age is 3 yrs only and all my vehicles are parked in same compound and its garaged  most of the days)

Attaching some pics, I don't see option to add more than 2 pics. First one shows the rusting issue, second image shows the bill for clutch change( see the ODO reading 10290 kms)

Maruti Ritz - a wonderful little deamon
Jan 05, 2015 03:35 PM 73893 Views

I had purchased Ritz Vxi in June 2014, this is my 4th car from Maruti and trust me this one is an amazing ride, till date it is giving an avg of 20 km / ltr. An avg by this capacity engine is really superb.

To start with, engine of 1197 cc(85 hp) ensures that you get a good pick up.

space inside is good though interiors are not very much fascinating.

Boot space is OK.

Rear is unlike other hatchbacks, but it surely adds up to the looks of this car.

Height of this car is unlike any other car of this segment and looks taller than the others.

Avg - like I said is superb and a highlight in this segment.

And a very important thing is customer satisfaction - Maruti has always been one of the Brand which delivers with perfection, specially AAA Maruti service centre, Naraina, Delhi.

If you're looking to buy a vehicle in this segment - you must go for this little Deamon.

Ritz VXi:The Wondrous machine
Oct 05, 2014 08:08 PM 105600 Views

In my previous review(Review title -'Choosing Ritz') I have put all the reasons of why I chose Ritz. In this review I'm gonna share my all experience of using my car.

As I've already mentioned in previous review that this is my own first car. Earlier there was Maruti Omni in our family and at present we own Honda City, both purchased by my dad. So I have a vast and multi car driving experience of 800cc-40ps(MS Omni), 1200cc-85ps(MS Ritz) and 1500cc-118ps(Honda City). Now a days I drive both cars(Ritz and City) so there may be indirect comparison in my review between these 2(I understand that Ritz never be compared with City as the segment of both is different) but it may bring smile on Ritz owners in some cases. LOOKS: The looks of Ritz may be controversial for some and for some it may not be. But if you ask me then I will say Ritz has got pretty Unique, Fresh, Rejuvenating and Dynamic physique. The rear may be bit awkward but if you wish to feel younger then go for it without hesitating.

CABIN n COMFORT: Here you come to know the importance of MS's'Tallboy' design. MS team has designed this car such way that the person of 6 feet height also, can easily get in and out(One of my friend, who is 6.1 feet tall, always praise my car while sitting in). The cabin is much bigger than the opponents and it feels completely'Airy' from inside b'coz of bigger windows. The Legroom in rear may be bit cramped but due to soft cushioning and good thigh support, one may not bother with it. The roof at front side is so higher that one feels like sitting in SUV. At rear, the roof brought slightly lower to maintain its airo-dynamic behaviour but it is still quiet bigger than the opponents.

The front seats of Ritz are sufficiently wide and posses good lumber and thigh support. I could enjoy non-stop trips of 250 kms(4-4.5 hrs approx.)(Pune to Aurangabad) twice time. I never felt tired in any of these trips. My colleague seated beside me was also happy with it. It might be b'coz of higher sitting position(like sitting on chair). But.But. One could feel mild pain in right knee as I had, but I never bother with it coz I enjoyed my drive. In the rear three people of average build can be accommodated easily.

The dash mounted Gear shaft and Tachometer is located perfectly and those come in range of our respective organs.

The Air Conditioning system is bit disappointment in Ritz. The MS tuned its engine in such way that it produces huge power in terms of Acceleration and Speed but not in terms of cooling. The AC is more powerful than Wagon R, Estilo and Santro but not as much as Swift's.

The beauty of this car is in its smooth ride. Ritz is butter smooth especially at speed after 90 km/hr. Once you cross 90 km/hr you will feel as if you are flying and floating in air. it absolutely doesn't make you feel ups n down of road at high speed b'coz of its high ground clearance. Whereas in case of Honda City, it often slams in such situation. Also Honda City creates more noise of friction of tyres with road at high speed but in Ritz, you listen absolutely no sound other than your music that you play in car. But Honda City moves smoothly over the potholes where Ritz gets bumpy on it. POWER: Aaah! This is the boon. The MS provided 2 options in same engine - The Swift and the Ritz. Both cars have got same engine and so its characteristics. Those who want decent family car, can go for Swift and those dream of car with sporty nature, can own Ritz.

The prime difference between Swift and Ritz is acceleration. I think the Ritz is quickest in this class. It moves from'0' as if Usain Bolt starts the sprint as soon as he hears the bang of gun. Ritz has got most power in its 1st, 2nd and mostly in the 3rd gear. Driving at 4th feels like sitting on'Tortoise'. It grabs that kick again in 5th gear once it crosses 80-90 km/hr and after 100 km/hr it pulls up to 145-150 km/hr quite incredibly. I could touch my car up to 140 km/hr on Pune-Mumbai expressway(and left my bro-in-law's Verna behind who was driving at 120 km/hr) but then I reduced my speed for safety of my wife and her small niece. Here I would like to mention with joy that difference in acceleration of Ritz and City, after 100 km/hr is quite negligible. Several times I managed to stay ahead of Honda City on the highways. But once you reduce the speed, the City will grab you and pass ahead of you rigorously.

I have to drive both cars frequently as we are in service industry and due to that we have to go outta Pune quite lot of times. So I always keep checking the time needed to travel 250 kms by City and same by Ritz. Believe me there are absolutely no difference between time taken by these two. I could reach in Pune from Aurangabad(exact distance 255 kms) in just 3 hours and 45 minutes by both cars.(Both journey was non-stop and started and ended between 8 pm to 2 am and also both cars were running with Full AC).

Driving Ritz in bumper to bumper traffic is fun. B'coz of higher sitting position and lower mounted steering wheel, one can easily turn the car and adjust himself with traffic situation. The power in first three gears reduces the efforts of shifting gears in city traffic. I always succeed in picking up the previous motion from the speed of 5-10 km/hr in 2nd gear only whereas I have to put the Honda City in 1st gear to achieve its last motion(I think this may b  b'coz of City's heavy weight and powerful AC. In both cases there were only 2 people were seated in car with their office bags).

MILEAGE: As I've already mentioned that Ritz is more on sporty side and not purely family car the mileage is slightly lesser than Swift. MS claimed 18.1 kmpl for Swift and 17.7 kmpl for Ritz - on the road I got 14.9 - 15.2 kmpl including both city and highway rides and AC was on all the time. The recent trip of Pune - Aurangabad - Pune(530 kms) gave me magical number i. e. 16.4 kmpl(with AC on all the time). I put regular petrol in my car and not any Speed or Power one. MAINTENANCE: When I purchased my car, it was 1 year and 11 months old and now it is completed another 2 years so now my car is totally 3 years and 11 months old. During this period I never spent a single penny on the stuff other than regular servicing. Since I had purchased my car from Maruti's True Value, I got warranty of 1 year from them.

1) In first servicing after 1000 kms and after 1 month, the regular checks carried out by maruti's team and charges was Nil.

2) 2nd servicing after 5000 kms and after 5 months charged me around 2500 bucks.

3) I paid around 3500 INR at 3rd servicing and the last servicing I have done locally that charged Rs 3500 only. So it is quite economical to maintain this car. Pros: 1) Ritz is Unique and fresh in looks and has sporty nature.

2) Ingress and Egress is easier, Bigger cabin that feels like sitting in SUV.

3) Seats cushioning quite good, seats are wide and has got good lumber and thigh support.

4) It is quickest and acceleration after 100 km/hr is incredible. 5) Butter smooth at speed of 100 km/hr and thereafter.

6) Economical in maintenance.

Cons: 1) AC is less powerful.

2) Car gets sluggish in 4th gear.

3) Mileage is lesser than Swift.

4) Rear design is bit awkward.

My Ritz VDI after 18000 KMS and 11 Months
Aug 25, 2014 02:12 PM 112331 Views

Another update about the ownership and driving experience. I am now using the Ritz for my outstation drives mostly to The Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu as I frequent that place for work related issues. I very regularly use the NH209 highway that starts at Bangalore and terminates at Dindigul in Tamil Nadu. The route is very scenic decently tarred and has an overdose of ghat sections and dense forests with very good green cover.

The Ritz's performance is simply flawless and this mile muncher can take you as far as about 700 Kms on a tank full of diesel. The FIAT engine is outstanding on the highways and overtaking is a breeze in this car. I have not had a single issue with this gem of a car so far.Almost a year now and this is still as good as new in terms of performance and build quality.

I feel I have made a very conscious decision & hats off to Maruti Suzuki once again for such a superb product that has exceeded my expectations. Will update this review next month once the car comes back from 20000 Kms service. Cheers.

Don't service ur car @ Sai Service Hinjewadi Pune
Aug 09, 2014 10:51 AM 109863 Views

I got servicing done, of my car at Sai Service Hinjewadi Pune due to its proximity to my office. Though I was offered a free pickup and drop facility I went in person to check how the service was done as I was advised by many car owners the importance of being present while servicing.

I was not satisfies because of the following points.

1) Nothing was done beyond car wash. I was present in the customer lounge( from where the service bay is clearly visible) all the time except while washing of the car. While taking delivery service guy told me he had inspected the car which obviously was a blatant lie!

2) No resolution was provided for hard gear and clutch problem.

3) When I entered the service station fuel meter showed me 2 bars with 55 kms range and when I left it was one bar with empty range.

4) Today when I opened the bonnet first time after the service, I found the lid of windshield liquid container was left open.

Thank for reading my review about service. Now some good aspects of the car:

Comfort: Comfortable seats and good space in the car.

Clutch is hard and gear shifts are not smooth as I had expected.

Engine is smooth, silent and refined. Though initial pickup is less in 1st and 2nd gear and in lower RPM, it gradually comes in its power band > 1500 rpm and gas pedal response is quite good after that.

Ride quality: Bouncy over uneven roads at slow speeds. Settled ride on highway but haven't checked it beyond 70 - 80 km/h. But I found it quite good at speeds of 90 km/h on the test drive vehicle that is why I purchased this car. Chassis is good, feels strong and NVH levels are low. Haven't noticed noise of tyres inside the car as mentioned in other reviews.

Mileage: They say mileage depends upon one's driving. Well being a new car, I drive it below 2000 rpm and press the accelerator very gently with feather touch. No sudden acceleration and no sudden braking. I shut down the engine at stops / red lights and rarely use AC. Still I got 13 km/ liter with 70% drive in city with mild traffic and 30% drive on highway.

Overall I like the car and my recommendation is yes but servicing needs improvement.

Would share more after completion of break in period.

Popular service is world's worst car dealer/servic
Jul 26, 2014 12:05 PM 111319 Views

Popular MARUTHI CARS dealers and services is world's worst car dealer/service I have ever experienced.

  1. They steal wiper blades.

  2. They steal gear bush.

  3. They steal parts and sell them in the out side market and earn profit.

  4. They make your car run like a roaring lorry engine.

  5. They beg like any thing to make you purchase their car.

On the whole My humble request to the car buyers, is that not to buy any a vehicle from popular dealer.

And don't ever try to repair your car on any popular Maruthi service centers.

Ritz VDI responses like a "Cheetah" ON HIGHWAYS.
Jul 22, 2014 08:19 AM 114394 Views

I have this car since 2011 January and this car is my heart. I have not faced any problem anywhere with this car. I took this car from "Bhandari automobiles" a renowned maruti dealer in kolkata though it is a very good dealer and the workshop of this dealer is also very good and cooperative.

The age of the car is almost 3.5 years and the most interesting fact is this I completed 1, 82, 000kms in 3.5 yrs but still the engine is like new. It responses like a cheetah in highway drives.

It also gives me an excellent mileage of 17.00per ltr in city with ac and in case of highways it increases upto 24.00kms per ltr.The dealer workshop is telling that I ca use this car upto 3, 50, 000kms without any expense except normal paid service.

So it is really value for money and those have a budget around 7.00 to7.50 lakh can easily go for ritz and if u are from kolkata obviously buy the car from bhandari automobiles gariahat and make it serviced from bhandari's workshop. The only thing is that as we have to travel more than 100kms a day we are using diesel version at the time of service it is bit costly than petrol. The cost of normal paid service is around 10, 000(more or less)  and after doing the service we can again drive the car for next 15, 000kms with mobil1 synthetic engine oil.

I am very satisfied with this car and I think u will also be satisfied with this car hIt is fuel efficient in both city and highways so no need to worry about fuel in your ritz vdi.

Hats of maruti for gifting us a car like RITZ VDI.

Great car, great ride, great mileage!

Indeed a very good car! Though after purchasing hated the LDI varient, the fuel costs have increased, but due to the excellent mileage of LDI(around 18kmpl in city) its not a big issue. The pickup is terrific if you know the right time and right gears! The turbo kick really gives a good acceleration. The space is good, and for the driver its a plenty of legspace! You choose the driving mode among sporty or cool and it will follow you!

Ritz VDI with abs
Jun 24, 2014 11:24 PM 128768 Views

Hi Everyone,

I am using Ritz Vdi for the past 2 years and I am very happy with its performance had got a new model with new face lift, so far had traveled a lot seen many highways and gone distant places had actually tested it hard .

On highways with its smooth running and sturdy steering control is remarkable, with its high ground clearance its awesome to drive, courtesy switz engine its a mini machine on roll, best part about Ritz diesel is its mileage and in Delhi as distance of office and workplace is too much you can really test this mean machine in city life too. after two years I am totally satisfied with machine but yeh less boot space really kills. but people in back are comfortable . But diesel service is bad generally cost 12 - 14 k . Once in a year though but let see how it performs after. Hope Ritz maintains it's level of performance.Currently its give me average of 24km and awesome ac all the time.

Last year I decided to change my old car Maruti 800. I live in a small town of hill state Uttarakhand and I am 6 feet tall, so I was very much confused to find a suitable car for me and my geographical conditions. After meticulous search, compare and analysis of all the specifications of different brands and models within my budget, I decided to buy Maruti Suzuki, Ritz ZXI. Now, after one year I realize that it was my right decision. It has best mileage(more than 22kmpl), best height for tall people, best length and width for small hilly town, best internal as well as external stylish look, best safety & comfort features, and above all best driving comfort. It also gives me a feel of driving SUV. I would suggest this car to all my friends, at least to them who are in conditions similar to mine.

I bought Ritz Vdi Jan 2014, I drove almost 5000 KM. I felt so comfortable while driving and feeling to drive more and more KM continuously. Anybody can drive very easily. Space good, and handling gear system is good.

This is my first car. While before buying a car I was so nervous don't know how I'm going to maintain it and all, after lot's of analysis finally I bought this and Maruti given lots of relaxation.

Even sales and service are also really good at Sai Service Erragadda Hyderabad. I recommend people to buy the vehicle from Sai Service. Really awesome and awesome!

My Car : Ritz VDI

My Ritz, I always call it a roaring lion. Booked on 14th Feb 2012 and got delivered on 17th Feb from Popular Motors, Chennai. Driving comfort is really good. Feel steering control is bit hard. Checked with service center and they confirmed Ritz steering control is hard compared to other vehicles.

Done around 48 K but still steering is hard.

Other steering control I feel it is awesome vehicle which gives a feel of driving a SUV. Road control is good at high speed.

I have done max 140 Km/h.

Cons: Rattling noise and the tyres which are given with new car are not of good quality.

Planning for Michelin XM2.

Smooth Junior SUV in City and Highway

Hi Friends, We had bought Ritz ZDI in July-13 and crossed 1500 Km in one month and I am sharing my experience. We had Alto K10 previously and due to my everyday 80Km running We had to opt for a diesel engine. As we were using Maruti and fully satisfied with K10 it was my default decision to upgrade to Diesel for Brand Maruti. Before buying Ritz many vehicle came in mind but the exchange offer was in my mind.First choice was swift as it is a hot cake selling product even till now. So we kept our mind on Swift but suddenly as we went to showroom for enquiring swift we had a glance of Ritz Zdi beside the Swift Vdi as both were ready for delivery in acer motors in Hyderabad. As we already knew that swift and ritz are of same fiat engine and successful in market we thought to give a  look on new Ritz Zdi also as it was looking more handsome from front due to its grill change in front and we liked the new grill look. But that was not enough. I and my wife thought to go on more micro level comparison.

First we had a test drive and things liked and disliked after comparison of both cars 1) Swift sitting position was the same like k10 which we felt but Ritz was very clearly visible 2) Swift was not that spacious as compared to Ritz 3) Riding quality of both was same and good, swift was more smooth than Ritz(but you cannot judge on only riding because we were looking to buy car of our reviewers recommend us looking to our family needs) As Ritz Zdi has driver seat and steering adjustment if you increase its seating position you feel like you are riding a junior Innova 4)Ritz boot space back seat and even front seat more spacious than swift 5) Ritz gear was on higher level easy for changing gears 6) Exterior we liked ritz front but back still not satisfied due to its bulky in back bumper, on exterior front swift is the best compared to any car in these segment 7)As our requirement was mainly of interior space, fiat diesel engine and decent looks and even around Rs 1 lakh lesser than swift Zdi we selected Ritz Zdi and even got good exchange for our current K10 Alto model through acer motors at good price.

One good thing is after shifting from petrol to diesel model there was no huge difference in riding quality and we were very happy with it and our family was very happy looking into its interior seating and comfortable riding even when you cross 90KM/hr because in alto k10 if you cross 80k is starts to show its signs due to it small engine We bought ritz top end version because our old vehicle was Alto k10 lxi model and we had to spend extra for other fitting as it was basic model. so this time we decided to buy top end model as it comes with every fitting and there is no need to spend any more penny from our pocket except for seat covers, and we are now very much satisfied as our family and even friends who were opposing for ritz first instead of swift are now satisfied because ritz zdi is the model were maruti has done many changes in looks and even in interior and the colour is superior white which has to be maintained regularly but it looks very good so we went for it Long Drive Completed 7500 Km after 6 months. Went to Bangalore in Dec-13 and covered 1250 Km drive to and fro in 3 days. Highway drive was awesome with family. Touched max 160 km for few minutes were roads was empty. Maintained 100 to 130 Km/Hr during Hyd-Bangalore highway ride. Average @17/km with Ac, had been better if I were below 100km speed. Done 2nd Highway drive to Bhilai from Hyderabad in Aug and maintained 90-100 speed with family. It was a smooth drive experience except 2hrs bad road patch near maharashtra border Crossed 17000Km will update more.
