Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Reviews

Maruti suzuki grand vitara
Dec 21, 2023 05:25 AM347 Views (via Mobile)

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is a compact SUV known for its off-road capabilities. However, I don't have real-time data, and the popularity or recommendations may have changed since then. I recommend checking recent reviews, automotive websites, or customer feedback platforms for the latest information on specifications and recommendations for the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.Maileg is a Danish brand that specializes in designing and producing a wide range of toys, particularly known for its charming and whimsical stuffed animals, dolls, and accessories. The brand focuses on creating imaginative and high-quality products with a distinctive Scandinavian design aesthetic. Maileg's toys often feature meticulous details and are popular for both children and collectors. If you have any specific questions or if there's something specific you'd like to know about Maileg, feel free to ask!The cost of Maileg products can vary widely depending on the specific item, size, and where it is purchased. Maileg offers a range of products, including plush toys, dolls, and accessories, each with its own pricing. To get the most accurate and up-to-date information on the cost of Maileg items, it's recommended to check with official Maileg retailers, their website, or other reputable sellers. Prices may also be influenced by factors such as location and availability.

This car is awesome .

I love this car it is realy grand car for mkuntains plains every where and this car never compromise in power speed and I love this car I like this car for its power looks luxury car to drive its just like feeling of great personality for driver this car is very good for long rout tours. My grand father purchased this vehicel in maruti showroom vadodara and gift give me this vehical. Maruti Grand Vitara is one amongst its kind SUV that is equally fine for town driving and dirt roads. With a bunch of options, it is truck like frame that options uniform body construction.Maruti Suzuki has great apportunity of this car & although the better driving experience is matter for the SUVs lovers and the condition of technical specification may lead the victoy of Maruti Suzukis's grand vitara & some I ll like the design & inbuildbcar modules.Affordability being an issue, I almost considered a regular jeep from M&M - but then since I take kids on long drives(Mangalore to Goa, Pune, Mumbai), safety and comforts was an important criteria. I test drove the Nissan x-trail and Honda CRV and I wasnt happy - especially feedback from owners complaining about high cost of maintening and owning it. Both these were beyond my budget too. Just when I was considering slowing down on work related trips and going for a skoda, I chanced upon this vehicle -THE Grand Vitara! - I really wonder after nearly 9 months of owning it, why more people dont buy it! Its troble free, the service is magnificient and being Maruti, it's hardly costing me a fraction of what I was spending on a Scorpio. To illustrate it, a regular 5000km interval service costed me almost Rs4, 000 and this is hardly Rs.1000 on an average. Spare parts are dirt cheap too. Oil filter is under Rs.100!

Of course, mileage is something of a concern, but then it isnt actually too bad. In the city it averages 8.9kms/litre and on certain long drives, iv actually managed a little over 10km/l. I have known a dozen or more mid-size car owners who dont get this mileage. Space is real good - though sometimes, I miss the convenience of a 7 seater layout. Music system's good, the A/C is great!. and in 9 months that iv owned it, I havent really had a problem with it. Reliability 100%. Oh, I touched 185kmph on NH4 between Belgaum and Nipani(Karnataka-Maharastra border)

On the whole, its a fantastic car! We even pulled out a CRV stuck in a puddle once(that car isnt a'real' 4X4). Now the most important thing - it costs a lot less than most 4X4 SUVs(im not counting Scorpio as a 4X4) and the cost difference to the next nearest is really considerable.

My grand father purchased this vehicel in maruti showroom vadodara and gift give me this vehical. Maruti Grand Vitara is one amongst its kind SUV that is equally fine for town driving and dirt roads. With a bunch of options, it is truck like frame that options uniform body construction. The result's lighter weight and typically a power tool drive-ability. it is a delight to drive on the roads with its innovative engine technologies and value-added options.

True worth for your cash that is more or less Rs four large integer, cheaper than most of the automobile in same phase like Honda CRV . This SUV is distinctively designed with imposing honeycomb front grille to lend a powerful live of audacity to the imposing forward stance. to boot the flaring wheel arches absorb further robust tyres to counter any kind of parcel.

The stronger seventeen in. tyres are a helpful quality throughout engorged town drives. It uses a longitudinally-mounted engine and is four wheel drive with a 2640 mm of distance, whereas all alternative vehicles are transversal engined with front wheel drive as common place. I am happy with this marutu suzuki Grand vitara vehical.

Australians  in the outback swear by it, farmers in argentina buy it by the load, yes I am talking about the 1998- 2004 Grand Vitara Xl7- was sold here by Maruti. Though If you look at things currently, you might say it is a 15 year old car with farmyard technology. I agree but'what  a  piece of equipment.' The thing can cruise at 160 KM/Hr all day on the highway and if you like to take the uncharted road, it will be the best companion you can have. the powerful V6 engine is still a benchmark for small capacity opposing 6 cylinder configuration. the indestructible chassis can take the beating all day long and then some.

The gem of a 5 speed gear box with piggyback low ration setup, can take the slush and sand without any discomfort. it just stops short of rock climbing. The torque is more than enough to slug out harshest of terrains even on semi road tyres. It even performs excellent in snow . We had taken it to hills in december last to last year, and overnight the whole place was snowed in badly, and the only car that was drivable without ice chains was the vitara and one neighbours land rover freelander .

Even mahindras got stuck. It is actually a perfect SUV for the hills. One dab on the accelerator and you overtake the truck with ease, that too on a steep slope. It can climb any gradient you throw at it. Thanks to this I have done numerous adventurous trips in india. Next year I am planning to take it to ladakh region. the only setback I might face is the cost of fuel, since it does give a mileage of 5-6 km per liter. specially on stratospheric heights. putting aside the milage issue, the car is easy to maintain, maruti does an excellent job of servicing, however now parts are becoming an issue but for a used car that costs only 2 lack currently in and around delhi, it is still a bargain. The vehicle is just brilliant.I ve recently seen a few of them geared up for desert storm and they look mean, and knowing what its capable of, it will be a breeze for the competitors.

Lastly I would like to compare it to today's competition, for eg. lets take mahindras, they fail totally in comparison to vitara  on ergonomic and driving comfort and handling. Most small so called SUV's(duster, ecosport), will not be able to  hold a candle when it comes to offroading, or even highway runs.Fortuner, a second hand ones costs ten times that much. Ford Endeavour, is actually a truck, and too big for comfortable drive in cities. The only actual comparison can be made to a pajero, but more likely the newer montero(which is  difficult to find, believe me i've tried.) till now ive not been able  find a suitable alternative, which might mean that it is still the best for what it does. so heed my advice, if you can live with the fuel bills then you  will not be find anything better  in the market.

I purchage Maruti sx4, but I also drive this great lux .SUV I am very happy to drive this SUV. But because of my pocket limit I am able to purchase sx4 only. It is great SUV from marutiLTD. Its interior and exterior look is so great.

When I see this car first time at DHAABA , 2009 GRAND VITARA EXcellent SUV. But I got a lot of comments saying GOOD REVIEW, BUT THE CAR LOOKS LIKE A DABBA (wagon r). So now, it is my turn.REVENGE............

So I turned to the best in the Maruti stable. THE SUZUKI GRAND VITARA V6 2009 You wont say that this car is a dabba, cause it’s a beauty. It’s a global vehicle from the Suzuki stable. THE GRAND VITARA V6 IMPORTED FROM SUZUKI,  But is not very common cause its in the PREMIUM SPORTS UTILITY VEHICLE segment. So gear up for a grant life.IF you are Able to buy this SUV please buy it Don't Think.

Great SUV!!!

After driving a Scorpio(yellow - sports edition) for nearly 3 years(approx 1, 00, 000 kms), it was time(Apr 08) for a change. Though the average running was in the range of 3000 kms/month, this time around I wanted a'reliable' car. My work takes me to places where there are no roads sometimes - and one of the shortfalls with the Scorpio was the lack of a 4-wheel drive(though they came up with a variant later, it wasnt anything worth talkign about).

Affordability being an issue, I almost considered a regular jeep from M&M - but then since I take kids on long drives(Mangalore to Goa, Pune, Mumbai), safety and comforts was an important criteria. I test drove the Nissan x-trail and Honda CRV and I wasnt happy - especially feedback from owners complaining about high cost of maintening and owning it. Both these were beyond my budget too. THE SUZUKI GRAND VITARA XL- 7

------------------------------------------------

LIVE THE GRANT LIFE

------------------------------------------------

Hi guys. I am back with another Maruti Suzuki vehicle. If I don't write on cars, why am I studying automobile engineering? Anyway, thank you guys for the appreciation on my last review. But I got a lot of comments saying GOOD REVIEW, BUT THE CAR LOOKS LIKE A DABBA (wagon r). So now, it is my turn. REVENGE............

So I turned to the best in the Maruti stable. THE SUZUKI GRAND VITARA XL-7. You wont say that this car is a dabba, cause it's a beauty. It's a global vehicle from the Suzuki stable. THE GRAND VITARA XL- 7 IS IMPORTED FROM SUZUKI, JAPAN AS A COMPLETELY BUILT UNIT. But is not very common cause its in the PREMIUM SPORTS UTILITY VEHICLE segment. So gear up for a grant life.

This vehicle is a beauty on the road. The first time I saw it, I chased it half way down the block to see which car that was. A complete stunner of an SUV. And not just in its looks. It has all the goods to take it off road. What's the use of an SUV if you can't have some fun in your vehicle?

The engine is one of a kind amongst Maruti Suzuki vehicles. The Grand Vitara has a 2736 cc, H27A V6 ENGINE WITH 6 CYLINDERS. It has 4 VALVES PER CYLINDER, which makes 24 VALVES. The fuel injection is the MULTI POINT FUEL INJECTION TYPE (MPFI). Noticed something, a V6 engine, in India. In my limited knowledge, I can't figure out any other vehicle in this price segment that has a V6.

Coming to the impressive figures segment. The car has a maximum power of 166 bhp@ 6000 rpm, and a maximum torque of 236 Nm@ 4500 rpm . 166 horses tied to your car and you have the full power to make them do want you want them to do. If you want to give a fellow diver a chase on a highway, don't hesitate; the car can go up to 200 kmph.

But then you wont be feeling safe and secure at 200 kmph. Then again, this is an SUV. Its built like an ox, and no matter what the speeds be, the disc brakes are at your service. Furthermore, the car has ABS, the ANTI LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM, with EBD, ELECTRONIC BRAKE FORCE DISTRIBUTION. So dont worry about the speed limits. Unleash the beast within.

Then again, the safety of your family. Don?t worry; the car has DRIVE SELECT 4*4 SYSTEM, 3 POINT ELR SEATBELTS, ISO- FIX CHILD SEAT RESTRAINT SYSTEM, and CHILD SEAT TETHER ANCHORAGE AND CHILD PROOF REAR DOOR LOCKS. So, you family is completely safe. Are you happy now? Then lets go.

When you are paying for a premium vehicle, no matter an SUV, its got to give you all the comfort in the world. The Grand Vitara does just that. You want luxury interiors. You have FADE- OUT FUNCTION ROOM LIGHT, FULL FABRIC OR LEATHER SEATS, RECLINING SEATS, and LEATHER ACCENTED MOULDED DOORS. Do you want me to go on and on? My hands hurt already. The list is just endless. It is all planned out to compete with the best sedan offered in the price segment.

Prefer to drive your vehicles without a driver. Then, this is the perfect car for you. Its got POWER STEERING, ELECTRICALLY ADJUSTABLE OUTSIDE MIRRORS, REMOTE CONTROLLED DOOR LOCK, REMOTE CONTROLLED FUEL LID OPENER and lots more. Further more, this is an SUV, so relish the feeling of being the king of the road.

But whats the fun in an SUV if it isnt going to turn heads? Well, be prepared to be the cynosure of all eyes. This car is a crowd puller with HALOGEN HEADLIGHTS, CHROME PLATED GRILLS, CHROME PLATED DOOR HANDLES, ALUMINUM WHEELS, FOG LAMPS COOL DESIGN, SIZE and PRIDE of the vehicle which is characteristic to an SUV.

Did I forget to mention the front console? Silly me. O.k. the front WOOD FINISH console with 3 SPOKE LEATHER WRAPPED STEERING WHEEL.

The car is equipped with a 4 SPEAKER SURROUND SPEAKER SYSTEM. So chill out, dude. Speaking of which, the car has an AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROL system which keeps the inside temperature of the car at the specified level irrespective of the outside temperature.

The MILEAGE is pretty low though, and the car makes up for it in having a 66 litre gasoline tank, which gives it very good range at full tank.

The suspension is the same good old McPherson strut in the front, and 5 link rigid with coil spring in the rear. The tires are all tubeless radials.

The vehicle has an overall length of 4760 mm and a width of 1780 mm. So parking is going to be a problem. But then, it is the case with any other SUV or sedan. The vehicle also has a ground clearance of 183 mm, which along with the 4*4 renders the entire off road capability that a vehicle needs.

The vehicle is available in blueish black pearl, Cassis red pearl, pearl white, cat?s eye blue metallic, cool beige metallic, silky silver metallic, and grove green pearl metallic.

SO DO YOU WANT A VEHICLE IMPORTED JUST FOR YOU?

YOUR IDENTITY?

UNLEASH THE BEAST WITHIN, YET DRIVE SAFELY?

A worthy competitor to the Pajero.
Dec 11, 2004 12:29 PM25025 Views

The Grand VitaraXL-7 is a CBU, and so it is the SUZUKI Grand Vitara XL-7. So what does xl-7 stand for? The Grand Vitara is available in short wheelbase and long wheelbase versions. So maybe XL stands for xtra large (long wheel base) and 7 stands for its 2.7. It is priced at a position where that much money could fetch you a Mondeo, Vectra, Camry or an Accord V6. But SUVs are for those who want SUVs, and not for those who want cars. It has some tough competitors like the Pajero. But the xl-7 really impresses.

looks and build- the xl-7 is a face lifted version of the old Grand Vitara. The changes are less, but nevertheless are good. The front used to look like the one in the photo shown above. On the xl-7, it looks much more elegant and macho looking. Headlamps are multi reflector. The grille is especially good with its chrome strip. The bumper has huge fog lamps. The side looks muscular and strong. The wheel arches and alloys look good. The tires are 16'' inch. I feel that the side looks like that of a land cruiser. The rear is bland. The tail lamps aren't even multi reflector. The spare wheel is placed at the back and it does not get a full cover either. The build quality is good enough for an SUV. The looks are okay and are really good in the side. But the Pajero definitely gets the advantage here.

interior- the interior has a lot of leather and wood. The seats are comfortable. The instrument panel is well laid out. The dash looks very attractive with wood and its LCD readout. Ergonomics are very good. There is plenty of space too. The second row has legroom, but not as much as expected. There is a third row though. Materials used in the interior are of good quality. For a car of its price, people will expect a luxurious interior (like in the Vector, Accord, Mondeo and Camry). The Vitara definitely has it. The Terracan is way behind. The Vitara is as good as, or better than the Pajero in some aspects.

engine and performance-the engine is a v6 and can displace 2700 cc or so. It runs on petrol and power is very good at 164 bhp. The torque could be better. 24 kgm is good, but not good enough. Incidentally, the xl-7 is the most powerful of all SUVs in its range. the engine is refined even if there is some noise. The Grand Vitara XL-7 weighs around 1.6 tones. So that works out to around 1 bhp for 10 kilos, which is good. The terracan is much heavier and its power to weight ratio is lesser. The engine is petrol and is powerful, so one can expect good performance. There is kick even lower down. It takes you by surprise with its quick acceleration. 0-100 km/h comes in just above 10 seconds! That is as good as many of the other sedans in this segment! I did not expect it to be so fast. The top speed is above 160 km/h, which is okay.

ride and handling- ride is very good. All the irregularities on the roads are swallowed with ease. In cities the ride quality is good. Handling is what can be expected from an SUV. It is okay, but because of its size and weight, it tends to under steer. It has power and other capabilities that are required to be a good off roader.

fuel efficiency- this vehicles has a v6 engine and runs on petrol. So forget about fuel efficiency. This is an SUV after all! In the city around 6 km/l is just useless. Even on the highway it does not return more than 9 km/l. in mixed conditions it gives just 8 km/l. the Terracan in this respect is much better because of its diesel CRDi engine. same with the Pajero. So with power comes a price, which may be too hefty.

FINAL VERDICT- the Grand Vitara is as good as the Terracan and the Pajero. It has elegant at the same time muscular looks. It is very powerful. It is luxurious inside and has a very capable refined engine, which can venture off road. The handling is no better than other SUVs. The efficiency in fuel consumption is disappointing. So, should someone buy it given they have the money? Yes, if they want an SUV. But it is not a class beater. The Terracan, Pajero and Grand Vitara XL-7 are equally good. Buy it if you want an SUV. If not, go for the accord v6 or some other sedan.

Great SUV
Sep 30, 2003 10:53 AM25305 Views

Firstly, its not a ''Maruti'' Grand Vitara; its a ''Suzuki'' Grand Vitara XL-7 since it comes in as a completely built up unit (CBU).

Its a great car, sorry, a Sports Utility Vehicale (SUV) and just the right one. While comparisons are not always appropriate and easy; this car is just right to a lot of pockets.

Its much easy on the pocket at Rs20 lacs (on the road) as compared to the obscenely priced & overly hyped Pajero (Rs36 lacs). It also packs a good 2.7 ltr petrol engine under the hood. While the bhp it generates is equal to the 2 ltr engine of Honda CRV; the torque is immense and certainly makes it stand apart.

The most important point is the hydraulic engine mounting, high ground clearance, superb raod handling & grip .... I could drive in areas where I could never drive before with my Altura or Corsa !!!!

The clincher for going in for the car, is the sales & after-sales-service infrastructure! Honda dealers have always been very snooty, especially in cities like Bangalore where you have only dealer. ''No-Competition'' is unhealthy and hope Honda Motors realise it soon. Suzuki has the the best & most extensive service centers and you can be sure of not being stranded .... not that you would expect that in the Grand Vitara XL-7.

GREAT BUY IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY ........ Don't even look at the Sonatas & Mercs !
