You has to cry all the time after purchasing this vehicle. Very high maintenance 4x4 system.

Highly delicate 4x4 mechanism, specially front drive Excel. no parts availability on time, no service on time, no professionalism in service. Even company is shameless regarding all this problems.

Never ever pick this vehicle even if company distribute free..........

The Off Road Beast
Aug 30, 2017 05:42 PM5529 Views

Force Gurkha is the best 4*2 vehicle according to its price. I had never seen the tough and rough vehicle of this type.

Firstly comes to its look, The 4*2 beast had a different innocent type look. As cute as it looks as tough and rough is its performance. It comes with 2596cc engine manufactured by FORCE itself. Force engines does not requires any specification to describe it self. Gurkha comes with the mileage of 14-17 km pl. Gurkha has strong body and when driven Off Road seems like the lion is on hunt. some common specification of Gurkha are listed below:

Mileage-

Mileage-

Fuel type - Diesel

Engine Displacement - 2596 cc

BHP- 80.8 BHP@3200rpm

Torque- 230Nm@1800-2000rpm

Gurkha. Looks are bad. bad comforts. Agreed its for offroading mainly but since its a road legal car, buyers would expect some amount of features that make it fun to drive. On road, its no fun to drive at all. The BHP is very low struggles to get it going. Handling is not that great either. Interiors are minimal and nothing to boast of. The snorkel is a nice touch though, and it is also functional.there are lot of other offroading options.

Trax Gama Or Tata Sumo Gold.. Confusion..
Jul 13, 2016 09:34 PM13115 Views

Hi,

I stay in Navi Mumbai, New Panvel.

I am considering purchasing a new suv.

Deisel, 9+1 Seater.

4 Wheel Drive is Not a compulsion. But will be a add on for me. As oldies, Ladies & Kids will be travelling mainly.

Most important is space and comfort. Interiors for me is not so important.

I will be using this vehicle for touring with my family & friends. My fathers friends n all. NO TAXI work.

To make the work easy for you all experienced forum guys, I made some initial research and zeroed to

Force Trax Gama & Tata Sumo Gold.

The main thing that I am yet to gain knowledge & looking forward from this forum is about these two vehicles maintainence cost & mainly POST warranty maintainence cost.

I know & have seen that Tata Sumo Gold is used as taxi but it also has problems.

People who buy Tata Sumo Gold for taxi purpose they ruggedly use it day and night to earn by running it and then sell it of after around 3 years or so.

About Force Trax Gama I have heard all, all means all, positive reviews.

Still I am considering Tata sumo coz of its power and pick up.

I am willing to negotiate with power and pick up but not reliability as we have max oldies in family and friends and kids and females.

All oldies, cant expect any type of help from them if I am stuck. All have BPs, Diabeties & bla bla bla. U all know what happens after 60.:)

Rest kids are like 5-6 years.

MOST IMPORTANTLY we belong to average middle class family, I can purchase an new one with 7-8 Lakhs with loan but cant sell it of in 3 years as taxi drivers do.

It has to be with us for life time.

So purchasing is not a factor. MAINTAINENCE COST is the biggest factor that to POST Warranty.

I can put 7-8 L in one shot to get it with loan, but it will be difficult to bear high maintainence cost with EMI.

Sincere reply / suggestions expected.

I will surely write a full on review after purchase and will update time to time as per services.

Regards,

Sourabh.

Fun on road

Force Motors developed Gurkha for those who want an on off-roader at an affordable price. Its strong body, 210mm of ground clearance.

Differential locks at both front and rear axles, large air intakes and others make it a pretty decent off-roader. It is powered by a 2.6-litre turbo diesel engine that is mated to a five speed manual transmission. Power is transmitted to either 2 wheels or all 4-wheels, depending upon the variant being chosen.

Price: 8.50 Lakhs

Force Gurkha - A force to reckon with
Jun 09, 2015 07:00 PM14050 Views

Think of offroading vehicles in India and most will think of the Thar or the Gypsy. But the underdog here is the Force Gurkha. Dont judge it by its looks. Its a pure bred offroad machine which goes anywhere, making its own path. Few people know about its capabilities as a serious offroad vehicle. It is one of the best out there.

What works in its favour: The brilliant low range and 4x4 capability. With just about any kind of path, the Gurkha can juts glide over effortlessly. When you put it in 4L, thats when the magic happens. Mud, slush, snow, dirt- it rules any and every terrain easily. It is butch and big and is a beast when it comes to where the road ends.

What doesn't work: Everything else. Looks are bad. So are any creature comforts. Agreed its for offroading mainly but since its a road legal car, buyers would expect some amount of features that make it fun to drive. On road, its no fun to drive at all. The 80bhp that the engine puts out struggles to get it going. Handling is not that great either. Interiors are minimal and nothing to boast of. The snorkel is a nice touch though, and it is also functional.

It is a lifestyle product, catering to the niche of the niche. So anyone who buys this has to be a serious offroading enthusiast else they wouldn't enjoy the beauty and purpose of this car.
