I wouldn't recommend the Chevrolet uva under any circumstances what so ever it has a terrible milage of 10, 11 kilometers per liter, usually low milage vehicles have high-power and performance but performance wise also Chevrolet uva is a terrible option. Few good things about Chevrolet uva is that it has good turning radius and the vehicle has good stability

Chevrolet UVA is a car whose manufacturing was stop from year since 2008. This car is a big car which is made for traveling so long. You will get to use power on this car but a poor mileage on it. In the comparison of looks this car is decent but the interior given on this car is not good. Don't buy this car go for any other SUV available on the market example doster, Safari, Scorpio. These are much better than this car. The most bad thing about this car is that you will not get any disc brake on this car. So don't buy this car.

I bought the Chevrolet Uva 2008 models some years back and I must say I like it. The look is simple, not a head turner but I think it looks cute. The car is spacious. The interior is nice and comfy. The noise from the engine and road noise is well muted. The handling is comfortable though not top notch. The acceleration is a bit on the slow side. Considering it belong to the premium segment I must admit the fuel economy is decent. Chevrolet has a good dealer service.

Some of the minor flaws I want to mention is the safety features. Airbag features would be very useful. The body doesn't look very solid.

Overall I think this is a good car for its segment.

My brother bought this car in 2012 in red color and we were happy with the product since it gave nice look and great comfort and control and nice mileage as well

1 - main problem started when we had an accident and the chasis was broken and we went to the company service center they accepted to service the car and said it will take at least 7 days and after 7 days when we turned up there they said that the spares are not received yet it will take more time after a time we repaired it so this was the first problem regarding company servicing

2 - later the mileage on petrol decreased and so we decided to go for CNG and we installed  the kit and it gave a fine mileage but after every month it gave problems like sound from engine need of oiling and etc

3 - I would recommend one to buy the product only if he is ok to face so many problems

If you are looking for a car having adequate inner cabin space, good fuel economy and good look, then it fits well on all parameters.It gives a comfort, smooth & quite ( noiseless) drive both in city and on high-way and Big Car Feeling from inside.Cabin is quiet, Cool, Spacious, roomy and airy with good leg room & having superb suspension. Big car -from inside. Three persons sit comfortably at rear seat. Performance is ery much stable on the highway. Firm grip & Flat on the roads- just touching the ground. AC is also effective. Fuel mileage is 14 in City & 18 on Highway. There are very nice people in it's service centre, always ready & keen to help you. Slight low power and specially when you are driving on hills having narrow road, numerous turns, hot & humid outside and above all the AC is ON then you may face some problems. Back Gear Shift also creates problems some time. Front pillar also creates problem as some time it is very difficult to locate the objects coming from sides.Otherwise it’s a very nice car. Go for it.

This is car hatchback from chevrolet uva as u know the compitition  is more in  this car is not successful as other.    I dont like his look.    Car dint impress as other car.    This car take much fuel. This car is available in petrol may be disel also.

This car is not for long travel distance it is a car to drive in city. This car give 5 gear manual box ac is good sheat is not comfortable    interior is okay exterior is good hard to drive in highway.so this car not impressed me.

Amazing Car. Bada dil Badi Car the tag line matches to this car.

I bought this car in 2009 after consulting one of my friends who also bought the same car 6 months before and looking at the model, features by the Chevrolet was really impressed and wanted to buy the same car.

However the only concern was GM's image was not good in India at that point of time so was bit concerned and worried about the resale value and service stores however I still went ahead and bought it and till date I have no regrets one of the best cars I would say,  amazing space, features and so stylish only concern is the average which is km/ ltr however looking at the other benefits I am still happy and enjoying my UVA ride.

Dear Friends, I am sharing my personal experience on Chevrolet UVA Car I Call it one of our family member. Its been 6 years we are using this car(since 2009) and till date we have not faced any problem. However at the time of Purchasing this car we were sceptical about buying this car due to the market value of General Motors at that point of time however we do not regret our decision, I would say one of the best decisions. It has best interior features, Amazing space and looks are classic. Bada Dil Badi Car the TAG line excatly matches and meets your expectations.

Chevrolet's flop run continues and this time its UVA who carries Chevrolet's flop name with it.Another disappointing car which lacks basic features and power with it. There were lot of hopes riding on UVA but it failed to deliver. The Chevrolet U-VA has been launched in India at a price of Rs.4.29 - 6.62 lakh

: Old and unappealing styling

: Important features missing such as climate control, steering mounted audio controls, seat height adjustment and many more

: Steering is not at all steady at high speed, difficult to drive the car above 60 km/hr

Not at all appealing car and not worth to buy UVA and this price.

I own dis car since 2007 n till date never had any problems with it. Have had some very memorable family n friends trips in dis car. A very strong external frame, good engine, comfortable suspensions, a smooth gear transmission, ample boot space, best in class leg space.

Although a hatchback which is positive in Mumbai specially to find parking place yet has d space comparable to a sedan. can comfortably seat 3even 4 in d rear seats. Good pickup, can easily reach speeds above 130kph, silent engine n very stable at high speeds. very good air conditioning. decent mileage for its class. d service centers for Chevrolet are very good n staff helpful.

All in all you get your moneys worth.

I am using this car for about 7 years. It's still in the same condition I got it in. I have to just send it for servicing twice a year. Its interiors are awesome.

May even beat costlier cars. Its just soundless from inside and pick up is also good. Now I am planning to modify it. One of it's plus points is its headlight.

Which look a little like that of Bugatti Veyron. Still there are only a few on road. Because its beauty is unexplored. I just love this car.

I purchased second hand from Maruti dealer on November 2012.

When I purchased I never know that future of the car, when I start driving learnt everything and loving car but mileage is very poor compare to other car.

I am getting around 12 in city riding and long drive getting around 15 without AC.

Chevy UVA LT top end has come to my hand two years back on second hand, all these days I used to drive less than 100 KM in a month and car was kept almost ideal and seeing review's , finding few vehicle's on road, I decided to sell this car.

Last week I had a opportunity to drive 1200 KM (Pollachi to Courtralam, then Rameshwaram back to Pollachi)   with fully backed 5 seats with huge luggage.

On high way UVA behavior is different, its going 120 KM and its  picking up 120 moment, (without AC) BRAKING is excellent.

It has given me 16 KM 75% NON AC driving on high way.I feel that MARUTI, TATA, HUNDAI has come to market long back when there is no competitor,   first come first serve basis, they entered in to Indian road.

Otherwise Chevy UVA is ok, but Indian road refused to accept Chevy UVA, I hope that SAIL UVA may hit.

GM should concentrate on marketing,   many people dont know this Chevy UVA, at least SAIL UVA should reach Indian roads.

I have completed using this car for 5yrs and I still feel very good about it. Car is very reliable and till now I had no issue of defects in the car. The workmanship of this car being delivered to indian customer is really good. I have not spent even an extra penny on the car defects till date. I have driven all the places around bangalore including ghat roads of ooty, nandi hills etc.

Space is good inside, stylish looks, good city drive vehicle though it lacks the punch in pickup which you may feel when racing with powerful sedans on highways. Overall it was a good buy for me.

This is one of good looking cars (hatches) so far on the Indian soil. Humongous space & seat ergonomics gives you great amount of comfort on long drives. Rear looks quite sporty which was not produced so far. What is good ? A/c, Cabin space (boot space is short), Quick Accelaration, Brakes, Steering responce is amazing. What is bad ?

Gear shift is very hard, I am sure that it will give you a good amount of shoulder pain (it seems this car is made to drive for Pehelwan's). Dashboard v/s seating position is somewhere Chevy engineers/designers are failed which makes difficult to position the front while driving. Though it can not be called as fuel guzzeler still for 1.2 SOHC engine fuel economy is not good. Boot space is small. Spare parts are pretty expensive. Service. I am not sure as I have not owned this car but it is at par what has been known from the owners. Advise to prospective buyers.

It is an outdated car today (Sept 2012) if you are in love with this car wait for new Avatar expected to be released in 2014.

Thinking of Chevrolet Aveo UVA? Think again. Once you get it purchase & you will not get anything , neither parts , nor services & no any accessories. I have Aveo U-VA 2009 LS  model &  I have asked every dealer of Hisar , Bhiwani or Rohtak but they don't have any part or even services.They only feel sorry that the company is not manufacturing it now.  it is my personal opinion that , if you are going for a second hand U-VA , don't  go for it.

A  second hand Maruti 800 is much much better than a new U-VA . At least you can get it repair & also can get spares of it. GOD Bless Chevrolet U-VA.

I'm using UVA since 2010. This is my first car. When i'm buying I'm not sure whether I'm going right track or not. But after start using I feel very pride that I've taken a right decision on my car buying. I list down the pros and cons based on my experience. This is my purely personal experience, buyers should analyse more according to their style / taste before buying the product.

Pros:

1) Good value for money

2) You can get a more space the same you can not get any other hatch back series

3) Feel very comfortable in driving.

4) Since front cabinet is long this will give you good safety to driver. Also this will help you to control your speed.

5) Fuel consumption is OK.

Cons:

1) Response at service to be fine tune further.

2) Interior color beige is look very good while the car is new. But after one year it looks hard to see the dark marks due to kids / adult. other side this will help to recall the peoples who created the marks. My personal opinion is interior beige color is not suitable for India.

3) Some time it use to struck when gear change overs.

5) AC at rear cabin is not great. I think AC capacity is not suitable due to volume of the car is more.

6) In long run with AC, I'm not getting the pulling power.

7) I think this car doesn't have good resale value like Maruti / Tata.

My overall recommendation for this car is can buy who looks comfortable and reasonable amenities at the price of under 5L.

I brought chevy-uva during nov 2010. Its reaching 1500 km. I was using maruthi 800 for last 15 years. Thought to upgrade a car with comfort and value for money at affordable rate to my pocket. Search was on for almost 1 year. Finally i discovered uva with all my needs. The customer support from deedi motors, pathanamthitta is wonderful(I hope it would continue too).

In my and my family short experience it is the most wonderful car for middle class Indians at affordable price.

The chevy india needs to popularise it, .which is lacking from the company side. Is it because company do not want to popularise it and wish to deliver only to customers who discover it among best car? I am proud owner and happy that when my car( velvet red) is on road people know its my car as uva on the road is just 1 in 200 cars!!.when v c another uva on road it make us feel we are same family.

Thank you chevy for the " innovation". Chevy really keep the quality and this may be the reason in short period in india it is taking over the biggest car on indian road. I am sure indian road will be commanded by chevy in next 15 years. .

Just one request to chevy. Do not bring up cars in 25-50 names( where same base car is named as various model like the top brand now in india doing .i really wonder why people go after it..even when this 20 named cars do not show much fuel efficiency as claimed and zero riding comfort( yes i would call zero)).. Do not try loose qualityby doing so ,

Let chevy be a special brand for spacial people.

I bought Chevrolet UVA in Nov 2009 and its a fun ride till then. It can be called beauty unexplored as major Indian customers look for traditional options with importance for fuel economy, maintenance and resale. What an average Indian customer tend to ignore is safety, comfort, space and interior quality. This is where UVA is a clear winner among its competitors. It has excellent hydraulic shock absorber, luxurious beige interior, well built bumper, ample leg space, very silent engine, its stable at high speed. You will not feel any engine vibration from car interior.

Points of improvement are: engine pick up(specially at high speed above 60 kmps), gear box(little hard) and wheel base(should be wider). Fuel economy or you can say the favourite Maruty advertisement logo "kitna deta hai?" It is as good as its competitors(SWIFT)!

I am getting 12-13 on city road and 15-16 on highway. Nil maintenance. Fantastic service network.

Even then you will find a very few on road. Reason? Because it is beauty unexplored.

After using an Alto and Wagon R from Maruthi, for almost 8 yrs I felt like changing the brand for good.I had a lot of options in my mind almost every big brand to select from .Unlike the other 3 times where I purchased the cars just based on the MARUTI factors (they hardly betrayed me , to be frank)this time I was in to so many reviews of different brands.

One thing I was decided was I am to take a hatch back only.The only vehicle where I could find every one alike complemented for the space and comfort which I was mainly looking for was this UVA from chevrolet.I had the previlage of being away from india that got me familier with almost every major brands in Car , I nver doubted the quality of this product as far as factors like safety and built quality concerned.As such I thought to first send my family for a test ride, and they were quite impressed by the space and comfort of the vehicle. and of course when they like it that's it for me.

I promptly got the booking done, unfortunately the delivery was delayed due to personal factors in reaching there as promised by me.My kudos to the chevrolet showroom German motors at Kannur who kept the vehicle with them till I came .Well this one when I first saw it self with a velvet red color , I couldn't take my eyes off.I can tell you from what ever little I got to drive the car during my short stay, you wont dream of buying any other car which only the very riches can afford to buy and I don't need to name those brands.

This has got wonderful road grip with it broad tyres, very ideal for Indian roads with its ground clearance , no problems with the gears as mentioned by some of the uva customers, infact its much smoother than the maruthi ones.M y family of for and and our pet german shepperd jimmy would definetly like to take this car for long rides and enjoy.

Let me congratulate the chevrolet to come out with superior product like this.and also wish all the fellow customers all the very best times with this car.UNFORTUNATELY NOT GOT THE ATTENTION THIS DISERVES
