I am a photographer.i suggest this camera for beginners.you can buy nikon or canon but sony it quite is for who are beginners.so I suggest it.all over picture quality very good but in low light shooting it dissapoint me.you can easily use or handle it becuse its too light weight.value for money is affordable.the maximum shutter speed is 1/4000 which is good.The main advantages is the battery of sony a58 is far better than others cameras.it can take 600 pic in a single charging.thank you.

Every beginner photographer have to choose this camera. The features are easy to carry and the headset is also carry so easliy . Even its not weigh too much . Photo quality is quite awsome . You buy it from anywhere . Means dorectly from shopes also or even online . The way they perfer and capture the moment . And most important thing its battery live is too awsome . The sony alpha 58 dslr is best camera for the beginners photographer . I think the camera is specially design for the bird and wildlife photo. the picture quality of this camera is nice as like as 4k .the iso and shutter speed is veri nice and handale very simple .valu or cost of this dslr is on the buget around 40, 000 . this is very cheap rate for the any dslr as compair to other dslr the alpha 58 is best one .but thair is no system on the lences of stable .but stable mode is fix on the camera body .in the case gear like 1 battery, 1 charger, 2 lenses, 8gb sd card, gold plate HDMI cable and one sony bag pack . the camera shot is very stable without a tripod .on the left side of the camera body we get many type of plug to attach the wire etc . but in anycase ALPHA 58 is best one DSLD for me.

Hi guys, Im shiv and i've been using sony alpha since last six months and I have to tell its a good choice for beginners than any other camera, sony has again proven itself in indian market.but if you are not a novice in photography than this is not the one for you. The battery life is pretty good, the lenses are awesome and cheaper than other brands, the picture quality in this model is pretty decent, the iso is average, the camera it self is pretty tough, video mode isn't that great it suck when we compare it to canon or nikon, this camera is good for hobby or family use or if you are totally new in world of photography and a value for money.
Image was front JPEG(DCF 2.0, EFIF, 2.3, MPF, baseline compliant), noise is low light condition, camera is not very fast to capture(processing time), zoom x 2+ focal length of zoom performance is disappointing, effective pixels 20.1 megapixel, image sensor size 23.6x 15.6 mm other senor features types comes with primary color filter, dust reduction, charge protection coating on image sensor and image sensor and image sensor shift mechanism, less mount a mount Minolta/ Konica Minolta lenses, other viewfinder color extra fine . diopter control 4.0 to 4.0m Automatic AF(AF-A), SENCE mode3 portrait battery type was lithium battery .
Theis is very nice camera in 40000 range this is the best camera very light dual kit camera the camer Quality is very nice pictures quality also very nice easy handling only one problem is their stabilizer is not their in this camera and wifi is also not their only two thing are not their but the camera is very nice low mantannas so this is my person oppenian their is so many camera dslr is market but this sony alpha slt 58 is the best camera dslrin this range so choose your camera dslr .

It was my first camera and I have to say I have got some pretty unique shots with this one. The picture quality is better than all the camera in its price range and the two lenses really expand our creativity. They go from as wide as 18mm to as zoomed in as 200mm(without the 1.5x crop factor). The noise handling capability is decent it can be used for astrophotography. I am an enthusiast and I recommend this camera for beginners, tourists and all photography enthusiasts. The build quality is robust(the lenses as well) it can a pretty high fall and survive without a scratch. The battery life is good enough to last you at least 2 or more hours on JPEG format. Sony's .arw format gives a lot of relief while editing. The audio output port can help make premium quality audio from external mics and the inbuilt mic doesn't fail to produce quality and usable audio. The innovative translucent mirror technology can only be found in Sony gear which is much better than conventional DSLRS. If you're planning to buy a camera for any reason at all consider this one because it won't break the bank and still provide you with quality images and capture your important memories.

Bought this for its big aperture, happy with shots taken.
One fine day in the 6th month, MF/AF switch no longer worked, brought in for repair, done.
Seven months later, same thing happen again. bought in again but was told warranty passed, and quoted for repair work, shocked to realized that its about the same as buying a new one, thus scrapped the idea.
decided to DIY.
shocked to find out that, the MF/AF mechanical switch is double-side taped onto plastic shell, and came loose!

Device is good. Build quality is good.Picture quality is good but not soo good. colour quality is not so good. Video quality is good. Screen is not good very poor resolution. Viewfinder is good.easy to use in comparison with canon or nikon.Lens is costly. If you want to buy this camera you should look at Canon 700D.

Sony gave a new feature of continuous shots which is very helpful for time laps photography. Being a beginner in this photography world I am lucky that I own sony alpha 58 as my first dslr.
