Pentax has done it once again!!!... I love this camera for a number of reasons...which I will describe in detail later. The main reason I love this camera is because of its stellar performance. I used this camera as a photojournalist, I worked for The India Monitor over the summer and I took it with me to press conferences, parades and all the other assignments I was sent on. Its a great Single Lens Reflex Camera.
The State-of-the-art technology combines strength and elegance. In developing the MZ5N as a next-generation professional SLR camera, Pentax sought out the strongest available body materials for both functional attractiveness and high-level rigidity. The magnesium alloy used for the MZ5N is lightweight, yet possesses exceptional strength.
The MZ5N's body sets new standards for water and dust resistance. The MZ5N has been developed and manufactured to reflect feedback from professional photographers who work in severe environments, as well as Pentaxes own expertise in this area. Following a reassessment of the severity of conditions that may apply in some shooting situations, Pentax has succeeded in raising the level of water and dust resistance.
I've had the pleasure of shooting pictures in the rain with this camera and its proven time and time again to be a winner. I love the Partial Metering function this camera has as well. At a rate of 6 fps!, Pentaxes predictive ttl AF system allows the tracking of fast-moving objects while maintaining precise focus. This system affords impressive results in terms of continuous shooting and boasts excellent sequential processing efficiency.
All in all the Auto Focus (AF) feature in this camera is SPECTACULAR!!!
Amazing continuous shooting performance Film transport is conducted at an astounding rate of just 2 fps. Now Pentax gives you the power to transform one dramatic moment into a series of heart-stopping images. Pentax heightens unprecedented levels of visual creativity.
I used to own a Mayima camera before and it was a good camera but it was outdated..it was created in the 70's! (created way before I was even born!) But I still have it because its the first professional camera I ever owned...and it still looks good!
Keep this is mind when you buy this camera:
Operates with the touch of a button
Solid and unbreakable
Professional quality images
The batteries you need are two three volt lithium batteries.
