This is regarding my recent experience with Somani relators, I am a salaried person living out of West Bengal, as I was in search of property so my brother was keeping an watch on the Apartments coming up in and around Salt Lake. In a recent property exhibition he came across SOMANI REALTORS. On the first look they seems to be quite professional and a Major player, hence we contacted them. They showed us some of their properties and we were quite impressed with a particular one.
My brother and me(over the phone) did the initial talking and negotiation, as being from a salaried class we made it very clear that we cannot pay any Black money. They showed the property many times and made different promises and also assured us of different amenities.
On the final day of Payment I was asked to fly in, I didn’t have any doubts that the property will be Ours, so with hope in my heart I came to their office on Ashutosh Mukheerjee road. They seemed very welcoming and started the meeting, That’s the point when you can see their true picture. as the previous review said the agreement says .Payable area= carpet area+ wall thicknesses+ proportionate area(usually 20% extra) of staircase, lobby etc(= super-built) PLUS TWENTY PERCENT .This plus is unique.
The person who were in the meeting Named, Mr Samiran(Who showed the property), MR Ghosh(Samirans Senior) and MR Rao(There god father as it felt). Mr Samiran fled the scene as soon as the Agreement copy was shown to us, Mr Ghosh started scribbling some points in the agreement sheet and the strikes were made repeatedly so that we can't find what was written originally. The agreement was handed over to me, then the things were bit clear, all amenities were fake, infact all verbal promises were fake. On asking about an explanation the God Father Mr Rao became aggressive and he charged at us saying that he never told that amenities were there and that he isn't aware about what the people at his site told, I was quite upset as a reputed company Somani employed such inefficient people, still as I have come down just for this booking and there has been some cost incurred, I dint want to walk out and asked for the next step, then Mr Rao and Mr Ghosh started a new discussion about " BLACK and WHITE part" of the payment, as we already made it clear, we again repeated "No Black", then MR Rao suddenly told us that this deal cannot be done, (" I felt like Slapping him then and there"). I asked to meet there MD, just to make him aware about the deeds of his employees, but I was not allowed to see him hence, I walked out with dissapointment .
This was my experience with Somani, Please beware about them and as a stand against corruption don’t buy anything from these people as I will never.
