Going by the reviews on JD, we decided to give the contract of our society's civil work to Meghkrupa Constructions and it was a grave mistake. The owner Mr. Satish Kabbur talks well and I feel that is the only positive part. I would seriously suggest not to fall for his talks and false promises made before one agrees to give contracts to Meghkrupa Constructions. This is how our case was:
1) Quote was given for Rs.8, 32, 000/- against which we already have paid him Rs.8, 50, 000/- and pending amount included payment of balance on completion of work and 5% had to be kept as retention amount.
2) It as agreed that any other work arising out of the usual civil work would also be included- though we were charged around Rs.66, 000/- over and above the civil work
3) It was promised in writing that all the drainage pipes replacement is included in the given quotation and during replacement a gap would be kept between the wall and pipes. Later we were being demanded for Rs.1 lac+ for replacement of pipes. In fact not all pipes were replaced and the gap work was never done.
4) The terrace work was kept on hold and simply money was being demanded under the pretext of extra expenses being incurred on the civil work done.
5) The work was carried out in an extremely leisurely pace for the reason that his labourers stay far from the site. One day suddenly we would find no work being done.
6) The work started in the first week of February 2017 and was promised to be done by the month of April. The work was so slow that it continued in the month of June and it still wasn’t complete.
7) Our society committee wasn’t happy about the progress of the work and gave him a earful as he would simply demand money.
8) He always harped about the great quality of work being done- which is in stark contrast if seeing in real. Uploaded images would reveal how good the work was.
9) He had appointed a supervisor by the name of Raja- who was just for namesake and all complaints related to oversight and bad quality of work was simply ignored.
10) Interior painting has been left in a very shabby condition, the terrace work has been done in a hurried way due to which the leaks continue- rather its even more now. The scaffolding has still not been removed and rodents have been entering the flats from the windows.
We are a small society with average salaried residents who made great efforts to pay per house contribution of Rs.25, 000/-. In fact we as the managing committee do most of the work ourselves so that we save whatever money possible from the monthly maintenance that comes to the society’s kitty. And we feel we have been simply cheated by Mr. Satish Kabbur who has stopped responding to any sort of communication from our end.
