We've spent nearly two years searching for a flat in the Joka/Thakurpukur area. Our exploration included Ideal Regency, Godrej Seven, Elysia, NVR Pride, PS102, among others. However, most of these options fell short due to poor design, inadequate light, airflow, and notably, cramped room sizes. Many units featured merged dining and living spaces within a confined area.
Last summer, we visited DTC Southern Heights. We were impressed by the spacious, well-designed flats, boasting separate, generously sized living and dining rooms, and notably, ample, western dry bathrooms. The large, strategically placed windows are excellent. Additionally, we appreciated the existing amenities like the gym. Unfortunately, our interaction with the sales team was disappointing.
Luckily, there were several resale options available. Eventually, we found an incredible resale fourth floor 3-BHK 1370 sq ft, offering exceptional air flow and natural light throughout the day, and at a significantly lower price. The flat's inherent charm negated the need for extensive interior design; a fresh coat of paint and a few furniture pieces from local Woodenstreet sufficed. The water quality and pressure are satisfactory, and the maintenance of the development is commendable, devoid of open drains and mosquitoes.
With few exceptions, current owners seem content. Overall, we didn't encounter any major issues with this housing project.
