Akme: Red Alert against cheats and thugs

If you are planning to purchase an apartment anywhere in India, go to anyone but Akme. They are not only cheaters but also thugs. They threaten their customers if they bring up a problem, send goons to "reason out" and harass individuals.

With them you need to beg and plead to get the basic amenities. As one of the distraught owners, we have gone through nightmares and we continue to do so. Permanent electricity was available after almost 8 months of people having moved in and after multitude of demonstrations and dharnas. The lifts were not working for a long time and people climbed up stair cases in a 10 floor apartment complex, security is callous and most importantly, not a single sole at Akme is bothered. Even today, we do not have a car park slot. We coexist with snakes and other multipedes. And during rains, you need to have your boots ready and your trousers rolled up if you wish to visit us becuase the driveways are waterlogged. Welcome to AKME BALLET, the "Luxury apartment" built by Akme in Bangalore. According to their website, the project is completed. But one visit to the project and you would realise how they are trying to take prospective customers for a ride!!

they have cheated us...  they promised two elegant and state of the art club house as a part of the brochure- one inside the campus and another in Fern habitat which is the naighbouring project. All of us were mandatorily required to pay an additional Rs. 1 Lac each for access to the Ferns club house.  Today, after more than 3 years of our having paid the money to Akme, the club houses continue to be elusive and the internal club non existant !. We cannot enter Ferns club house since we are not being issued membership cards and Akme has not yet put the first stones toward building the internal club house .... and all these in a project that their website claims to be completed and with a club house. How bigger than this could a fraud be?

The True Scenario: With more than a year and a half past the committed deadline of project completion, they are no longer anywhere close to completion. Not only do they have no regrets about it, their top management has perfected the art of giving keeping a straight face and giving deadlines with no interest in achieving them. The top management including Mr Nanda, who has also promised the world to the residents, are not even bothered and blatantly lies to one and all. They owe residents money towards lower area coverage, loss in area, delay in handing over, etc. Those continue to fall on deaf ears and blind eyes today.

So if you value your time and money, keep away from Akme!! keep your money away from them because they would have a lot of things to promise you to take your money but once they do, they would never give you a thing. And if you are one like us who have already invested in another Akme project, our suggestion is to get ready for a long battle.

I wish for once there was a negative rating possible because that is where they would have got a very high rating! for the moment, a 1 because it is the lowest possible.
