Today, the topic of my post is the M2M and the Bulletin feature. I hope this post would be helpful to all and make life really simple in accessing M2Ms and Bulletins.

What is the M2M feature?

The MouthShut M2M feature is nothing but an inbuilt email system for MouthShut.com members. Using this you can get in touch with other members.

What is the Bulletinfeature?

The Bulletin feature is a one-click wonder. Send a single email to all members who trust you in one single go. Note: Use it with caution.

M2M Inbox and M2M Sent:

All the M2Ms and Bulletins received and sent by you are stored in M2M Inbox and Sent folders respectively.

Now you can arrange your M2Ms:

1)By Status, i.e., Unread and Read

- This feature helps you to see Unread M2Ms first, Read M2Ms and then the M2Ms which were replied.

2)By From and To

- This enables you to view M2Ms Received and Sent by members sorted alphabetically in either ascending or descending way.

3) By Date

- This helps you to sort your M2Ms Received and Sent by Date in ascending or descending order.

Now, you can delete your M2M History by clicking ‘Delete history with this member’ while viewing the M2M history with a member.

What is RSS Feed?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. MouthShut syndicates their reviews and diaries as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it.

On MouthShut.com, RSS Feed is available for Diary and Review. Subscribe to your favorite category and you get update of latest review on that category. Subscribe to your favorite diary writer and you will get update of latest diaries written by that user.

You would be glad to know that MouthShut.com has RSS Feeds for all categories and sub-categories.

Why RSS?

RSS Feeds benefit readers who want to subscribe to timely updates from favorite categories or to aggregate feeds from different categories into one place. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest review or diary from the sites you are interested in.

How to use RSS Feed?

RSS feeds can be read using software called a Feed Reader which can be web-based or desktop-based. There are also a number of web-based feed readers available. 'My Yahoo' and ’Google Reader' are popular web-based feed readers.

How to use feed reader?

Follow the steps given below:

1. You can download feed reader here, fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Feedreader/1027544364/1
2. Once download complete, Install it on your pc
3. Open feed reader and click on new button
4. Add your favorite RSS feed URL

Get your favorite product's feed URL from MouthShut RSS feed page i.e.,

https://mouthshut.com/rss/rss.php

You can go on this page through link RSS Feeds via the footer of all pages. Also, you will get RSS feed on Read All Reviews page. RSS feed for diary of specific user is available on diary page. You can add that in feed reader so you will get all update for that user's latest diaries.

How to get RSS feed in ’My Yahoo' and 'Google Reader' web-based feed readers?

Go on read all review or diary page there is icon My Yahoo and Google Reader under Tools at right hand side on page. Click on that icon and log in with your Yahoo or Gmail Id as per the reader you choose.

Today, the topic of my post is the ‘MouthShut Market Place’feature.

What is MouthShut Market Place?

MouthShut Market Place is a place where members can sell and buy products which are listed on MouthShut.com.

How can I sell a Product?

-Go to MouthShut Local Page
-Select a suitable category
-Select the product using Intelligent Search
-Write your Comment about the product
-Submit it
-The product will be shown with your ID as you want to sell
The deal would then be open and members interested in buying your Product can get in touch with you via M2M.

What can I write in comments while posting?

Comments are almost brief details about the products like price, condition etc....

How can I buy a Product?

In any of the Deal Open Products, send a M2M to the user who has posted the product which you want to buy by clicking on the Contact Me link.

How the Deal will be closed?

Once a member has bought a product from any member, the member who sold the product will have to send an email to MouthShut Support ( support@mouthshut.com) stating that h/she has sold the product to a MouthShut member. Our Admin team will then declare the deal closed.

What is MouthShut Local?

MouthShut Local is nothing but your own city guide which helps MouthShut members to find out what's hot and what's not in their city.

What details canIget about my city?

You can know which Restaurants, Hotels, Malls, Discos, Pubs etc are popular inyour city and you would wish to visit.

There are two sections on MouthShut Local .

One is What's Hot,What’s Notin your city

-Shows latest four products, on which recent four reviews are written, in the sub-categories listed for that city
- By default Top Rated Restaurants, Top Rated Hotels, Top Rated Car Dealers, Top Rated Malls are shown

The other is Explore<city name>

-All Sub-categories are shown except the four listed in What's Hot What’s Not

Note:You can customize your City Page according to your choice and know which products are Top Rated in Two Wheelers, Health Clubs /Fitness Parlours, Multiplexes / Cinema Halls, Hospitals and Schools etc...

Today, the topic of my post is the ‘MouthShut Members' Meet’feature.

What is MouthShut Members' Meet?

MouthShut Members' Meet helps MouthShut members to meet up with fellow membersin a city.

How do I add a Meet?

- Log in and go to your City Page listed on the Home Page
- On the bottom right hand side of the City Page, you can see MouthShut Members' Meet
- Add a meet by selecting your City, Location, Date and Time
- Select the location by intelligent search which shows the results of the MouthShut products listed in that particular city from some sub-categories like Restaurants, Hotels, Malls etc...
- Add the members you wish to invite and inform them by M2M
-Submit the meet.

Can I change the city or add some more members?

Yes, you can. Meetings are sorted according to date and time. You can edit your own meeting by adding /removing members and changing city, location and time.

Once the meeting is out of date then it won’t be seen in MouthShut Members' Meet.

Today, the topic of my post is the ‘Albums in Photo Gallery’feature.

What are Albums in MouthShut?

Albums help users to arrange their photos in a systematic manner.

How do I add Album and upload photos in an album?

- Log in and go to ‘Dashboard’
- Go to ‘Upload Photos’ page
- Click on the ‘Add another album’ link and enter the name of the album
- Select either Everyone or Members I Trust in 'Photos in this album visible to'
- Start browsing photos and Choose an album
- Press ‘Upload’ button

Boom, your photos will be uploaded in the album which you have chosen.

What is 'Photos in this album visible to' option in Album?

There are two options:

1. Everyone – Photos in that album will be visible to all users.
2. Members I Trust – Photos in that album will be visible only the Members trusted by you.

Can I change the visibility option of Albums?

Yes, you can.

- Go to ‘My Photos’ page
- Click on the ‘add’ link in My Albums
- Simply click on ‘Rename’ to change the visibility option of the Album or to change the name of the Album
- Press 'Save' and your Album will be renamed

Can I move a photo from one album to another Album?

Yes!

- Go to 'My Photos' page
- View the photo which you wish to edit
- Click on the 'Edit' link above the photo
- Select the Album
- Press 'Save' and the Photo will be moved to that Particular Album

P.S: While moving a photo from one album to another album, the moved photo’s visibility changes according to the moved albums' visibility.

Eg: Suppose if I move a photo from the General album (Visible to Everyone) to Private (Visible to only Members I Trust), then the photo will be visible to only Members I Trust since the album is Private.

Note: General Album is always visible to everyone.

I have been posting various diaries since July and hope you have been enjoying while reading the same and have found them useful. A lot of you have been reading those diaries and asked me most pertinent questions, providing a lot of valuable suggestions to make MouthShut.com a better and improved platform.

Once I receive your suggestions via comments/M2Ms, I sit with the Product Team and the CEO himself. We discuss all your suggestions in great detail. I am sure that you understand that all suggestions cannot be implemented and those which are decided upon cannot be implemented immediately as Analysis, Design, Development and QA to bring it out without any glitches requires time.

You will see in a couple of weeks quite a few of your suggestions being implemented. Which ones? Keep guessing!

Apart from the suggestions, some of the Technical Issues which you informed me via comments/M2Ms have been resolved in quick time. Most technical bugs and issues need at least 1-2 working days to get resolved. If the resolution of bugs reported by you takes longer, then I apologize.

How do I use Invite Friends?

Log in and go to Invite Friends Page by clicking on the link at the top of the page (next to the Help section).
You can invite your friends by three ways. The first option is:

1. You can fetch your mail address books of Hotmail, Yahoo mail, Gmail, Rediffmail, Indiatimesmail and Aol mail by providing valid Id and Password. Select your friends whom you wish to Invite and press the Invite Button.

2. If you want to compose the invitation from your own mail ID, click on Show Message in the second option, Copy and Paste the Invitation and send to your loved ones.

3. You can manually enter 100 friends Email addresses of your friends and invite.

P: S: You will get 50 MS-Points for each registration by your friends.
