Dear Diary and Friends,
Few days from now, all over the world, the most love woman will be honored and remembered again on this special day of May 10, a "Mother's Day Celebration." It is for this reason that I wrote a poem some days ago, to pay tribute to a special woman who sacrificed and nurtured my youth to become a fine lady that I will be. A woman who unselfishly give her life for her family, making her days busy and even extend the night into day, just to cared us all and trying to make the family whole. She won the battle of what could have been a broken family, but she choosed to keep the family intact than give up in some way. I never heard her complained when sometimes life is so mean, beacuse she believed that all sacrifices will come to an end. And she believed that God is always there to listen. As you read the poem, you will come to know, who the woman I mean and whom I am talking to. Just go ahead and read, between the lines of the poems I know you will realize that the superwoman I mentioned, is no other than my mom.
Here's the poem:
I Have Not Counted Those Days...
by angel_babe55
I have not counted those day of gladness,
That we spent together when you're around.
I have not counted those days of my loneliness,
That you perked me up, when I was sad.
And now here I am, lingering on to that precious memories...
Like a baby waiting for a lullaby song or a bed time story.
I have not counted those days...
How many times you cuddled me on your breast.
I have not counted those days...
How many times you wiped away my tears.
I have not counted those days...
How you cared for me through many years.
And how you calmed me down through all my fears,
When I am afraid, I know you can't bear.
I have not counted those days...
How many times maybe, you get despaired.
But you never give up, instead-
You always give your best,
And showed how much you cared.
I have not counted those days,
How you kissed away the pain on my face.
When I cried out loud when my tooth- ached;
You always comforted me,
And hugged me near to your heart.
Mom, I have not counted those days
When I was a baby and became a lady.
I have not counted those days...
Of the special moments, when you and I alone,
I was sad you talked to me in your room.
I missed those words of wisdom, that you taught.
Those days when you kept worrying on me,
You gave me choices and freedom ...
To enjoyed my youth and set me free.
Mom, now that you are gone...
I longed for you and missed you so much.
I missed the time that you're here beside me,
Kissing my tears and keep my sorrows away.
Yes mom... I have not counted those days.
When you even forget all your dreams...
Working so much and doesnt even complained.
And how you have sacrificed yourself, to some extent.
How I have not counted those days...
Having you as my mom, and think how fortunate I am-
That God gave us a wonderful woman-
Who cared, who loved, who worried so much.
And that superwoman is no other than you- Mom!
I love you mom, you may not be around to hear or read all these but I dedicate this poem for you and for the rest of the moms all over MS, advance " Happy Mother's Day," to us all!
God bless.
