Triumph’s new 2016 Tiger Sport has an updated engine and exhaust for more torque and better fuel economy, in addition to new slip-assist clutch, cruise control, and adjustable screen.
Thanks to the inclusion of that ride-by-wire throttle, Triumph has also been able to bestow the Tiger Sport with traction control and three separate ride modes ( Rain, Road, and Sport) that vary power delivery for different riding conditions. Additional aids include cruise control and ABS, with settings for each system displayed via an all-new instrument display.
For added comfort on the highway, Triumph has fitted the Tiger Sport with a height-adjustable screen that uses diffusers to deflect wind away from the rider and is also easily adjusted with just one hand. The bike features new, grippier footpegs, as well a slip-assist clutch that has the added benefit of reduced lever effort, Triumph says.
The 2016 Tiger Sport will be available in matte black or aluminum silver paint, with smaller details like new engine covers and reshaped mirrors finishing off the list of outwardly visible revisions.
Stay tuned for more though, as Triumph says it will have additional information on the bike during the London Motorcycle Show, scheduled for February 12.
