I will say this is one of the best Step thru' motorcycle in India..

We have two Street 100s in my home at Pune for last 4 years and what a performance.I am surprised with its silk smooth power delivery.The clutchless operation of this bike is just fantastic.My father is using the old street model (without dickey in front) since Nov 98 and he is more than happy with his bike.Superslick gear shifting of this bike will put shame to many other bikes in India.The another Street 100(DLX) model is with me since Sept 99 and also doing its job well.

This vehicle is like geared version of Kinetic Honda (Not technically..this is a statement which can give some idea about convenience of driving in Street 100) but having all features of Motorcycle.

We can start/Stop in 4th gear..Pretty useful feature for roads in Pune.. :)

I will suggest this bike is for all ages but not for the people who simply like to go fast like rockets.

Hero Honda Street 100 was primarily designed as a family bike. Its design shows that Street 100 is so easy that ladies can also ride on this bike. Most interesting part of this bike is that it does not have a clutch lever on left hand. Auto clutch makes it riding easier. Engine fitted is a genuine splendor engine with auto clutch.

Street 100 gives good average , around 45-50 in city riding and 58-62 on pure highway riding. That is pretty cool with a price tag of just around 37000 on road , pune.

My friend has a street 100 at pune and we have travelled on it from new mumbai to pune. Suspension is also good. Overall it is a family bike.

Most interesting thing about gears is that it is having rotary gears, N-1-2-3-4-N-1..... AND having autoclutch we can stop it in the 4th gear at signal, change to Neutral and on Green signal, 1st Gear and Vrrrrrroooom.

Overall very satisfying and low maintainence bike.
