The Royal Enfield Himalayan look like a bike built for adventures, but the engine doesn't not live up to the promise. With only 24.3 horsepower, the bike struggle at high speed , especially when the bike is loaded with gear. Overtaking can be a challenge. While riding the himalayan I felt the vibration to be a significant issue. The habdle bars and footpegs were vibrates excessively, specially at highers rpmrpm leading to discomfort the long rides. The build quality of the himalayan leaves much to be desired. After just a few months of use I found rust spot on thr frame and exhaust. At 199kg royal Enfield Himalayan quites heavy for the adventure bike. This makes it difficult to handle. The bike struggle to maintain above 110kmph which is frustrating on long strech highway. It's fuel efficiency is also poor and the milege it gives is so less. Hope this review will help you to make your decision.

The look of the bike is awesome, its quite different in look with the other Royal Enfield bikes. I believe Royal enfield don't sell bikes they sell lifestyle. They motivate people to purchase their bikes to let them experience that they have earned it. I personally like all their models the himalayan is one of their finest piece of word. The engine is powerful, it gives a massive power to the rider. The handling is as always good it gives great support to the rider. Great work! God bless!

Best off-road bike under 3 lakh
Nov 12, 2020 01:50 PM 4054 Views

One of best royal Enfield has ever produced. Bike quiet tall and heavy . It's about 200 kg . It's gives you a mileage of 30 in city and about 34 km in highway. The bs6 version cost around 2.5 lakh to 2.6 lakh based on the colour u choose to buy. The seat quality is really great and I think u can ride for a long period without any problem . Fuel capacity is around 15 litres and reserve is around 5.5 to 6 litres. If comes with a switchable abs which is applicable only for back tyre .

Royal Enfield Himalayan (2018)
Jun 15, 2020 12:11 PM 4363 Views

So it's time for bike review. This Himalayan will talk you through the general specs of the bike. First up is the engine. The Royal Enfield Himalayan has a 411 cc, single-cylinder air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. It produces 24.5 horsepower which is not a lot given that it's a 411 cc motorbike which weighs almost 200 kilograms. I used to ride a Ducati Monster 796 for several years, so coming from that bike and going onto the Himalayan is a massive step down in power. And know you cannot compare these two bikes, but still, I am missing a little bit of power especially riding on the road. When you're riding at low RPMs below 2000 and that combination of low horsepower and high torque that is what really gets this bike going on off-road terrain but generally speaking I find this engine very smooth running. When you're riding on road, on the tarmac, the highest comfortable speed is around 80 to 90 km/h if you go over that, you start to feel a little bit of vibration. Top speed on tarmac is probably about 120 kilometers an hour So then you're riding in fifth gear and doing about 7, 000 rpm. But at that speed this bike becomes very unstable you get a lot of vibrations, and you can just feel that the engine does really not like it. So on-road, the performance of this bike is not so great. It is really off-road when this bike starts to shine. So the suspension plays a big part in why this is a very good bike for off-road riding because the front suspension can travel 200 millimeters and the rear can do 180 millimeters. It's obviously not as much as a dirt bike, but it is not a dirt bike. So for a dual-sport bike that's a very good suspension and it keeps me going for 10 hours of riding per day So I'm very happy with the suspension. Now standard this bike comes with tubes inside the tyres. I do believe that these tires are performing better on off-road conditions gentle on the road So when I'm taking a corner a little bit fast when riding on tarmac these tyers, don't give me a very comfortable feeling. Himalayan model, Royal Enfield added ABS, which works very well on pavement, but unfortunately, you can't switch it off. So when you're riding off-road you're also riding with ABS and then it's actually doing more harm than good, unfortunately, You can't see it now because the bike is on midst and but when you're riding the midst and is actually the lowest point on the bike, so even though it has a fairground clearance I've been hitting the ground with the midst and quite often when I'm riding off-road or on bumpy terrain and that's a pity because it throws you off balance when you hit the ground with your midst. The Himalayan comes with a 15-liter tank, and I've been doing an average about 30 kilometers to the liter It really depends on the terrain that you're riding and especially the speed. If you go above that 80 90 km/h speed limit then your fuel efficiency drops very quickly maybe your fuel efficiency can get up to 35 kilometers per liter. So when it comes to braking not so great. And off-road, you don't really need that and it doesn't make a difference for me, But when you're riding on the road, then I do think the brakes are not what they should be. Now the second thing about the bike that doesn't really like is the heat that is coming off the engine.

ADVENTURE TOURER IN A VERY POCKET FRIENDLY PRICE
May 27, 2020 02:56 PM 4518 Views

A bike that I wanted from my teenage is this bike. I see many motovloggers using this power packed adveture tourer. Many modifications can be done in this bike to travel to different terrains in a nominal cost. Cost effective and fully loaded bike which can fulfill your dreams to ride to offroads. Also this bike looks like a lion when panniers are put on it with a top box.

Overall my opinion is go for BS4 version only don't go for BS6 .
