Ignorant about diesel bullet
Jun 26, 2011 09:43 AM 34114 Views

Diesel Bullet is not having much demand in north but having good demand in(mumbai) as the Diesel Bullet is fuel efficient, good looking and good for long drive .

I would say the person who are ignorant about the powerful vehicle should'nt use it especially about bullet better I would suggest him that he can drive some light bike like scooty or 100cc bikes but never say about a male bike, male bike is always tuff, strong and Heavy, when ever a heavy truck or any other heavy vehicle passes by the bullet do not go off road due to its Heavy weight, it is so power ful it can drag other less cc bike very easyly so I would say hats off for the Bullet Enfield(Diesel /Petrol)

The bike is completly male standard and tough man can only ride this bike, it is not for local standard people better ==do not go for option of bullet if cant ride a heavy bike ==

The Beast within

I really missed this Bike. It was my soul during my College days and in my early career.

Here is little history of me and this bike. For a starter (L board) I learned biking with this beast, when my father thought me how to at the age of 16. He gave me this one as a big present for me, the original color was Green. As the Days passed and was well known in my college for having this machine. I had done some modifications to the bike to suit the raiding conditions and for easy maintenance.

Since finding a good mechanic for this one is pretty hard where-ever you go(I used to service as well as repair the bike). The first thing is I had put on an additional Air filter for the bike for better air filtration since When I was riding it I lived in a village and Dust was the major factor(used to merge the bike till the seat in water during rainy season in water logged roads like the Hosur road in Bangalore with stopping the engine). Removed the Muffler from the silencer since when I tested this the speed and acceleration of the bike increased. The bike used to give around 50 to 55 Km pl.

I am a bit muscular guy so handling this one even in cities like Bangalore was not a problem for me. It had a good road grip and used to go to speed up to 80 Kmph which is the max you can drive in a City. I used to go on a long trip on it. I later changed the color of it to Blue.

Now I had to give it up to one of my Cop- brother since riding this bike causes major attentions from the City - Traffic police and most often they stop the bike.

The most Wonderful thing of this beast is no need of spark plug and the wiring mess. For the record I did not have a battery, The horn, lighting and indicators were connected directly to the dynamo. even if there was a mess-up in the wiring you can still drive the bike during daytime.

The picture show the minor modifications shown. Other than the painting, refitting of the engine, gearbox and setup of the bike was done by me and my Dad. And for the record I am not a mechanic am a software Engineer in Bangalore, Just loved this beast or Beauty let me know which one

A Royal Experience

Truly its a Royal Experience riding a bullet and which we get only by riding a bullet. I own a diesel bullet for past 9 years and it is so that I cant even thing of any other bike than the bullet be it diesel or petrol.

The engine is good, it gives you good mileage. it is been working great all those years provided you maintain it well. Its performance is even better when you go for long drives which I usually used to do. The machine is big and initially will be a bit difficult to handle, but once you get through it, will be very easy to handle and different good think about this is the security part.

You never need to lock the bike if you keep it some were. it is the least prefer vehicle to steel since it is difficult to handle by a non experience person. Believe me, I never used to lock my vechile when I go some were provided I come back in 2 to 3 hours.

I enjoy riding this bike and truly its a real different experience.

A different ride

I have been driving a bullet 350 standard petrol version for the last 5 years and recently added up a diesel bullet to my stables.  The machine is definitely sluggish when compared to the petrol version.   However,  you can do a 0 - 60 under 15 seconds,  which is quite ample for city drive conditions.   With the right mechanic,  the vibrations associated with a diesel engine can be cut down to a large extent.   Gear Shift is equivalent to that of the petrol version as there is no change in the gear box.

A smart mechanic can even adapt the newer 5 speed gearbox assembly to go along with the vehicle.   This vehicle gives you the liberty or flexibility to chop and change various ends to suit your styling and comfort needs.   Mielage is a definitive plus - currently enjoy 60+ km on a litre of diesel.   Maintenance costs are less as compared to a petrol engine.   If you can lay your hands on a good mechanic,  and have the time, patience and passion to put together a vehicle to match your tastes,  this is it.    The only negative that I can come up with is the heat that is generated by the engine on long drives & the engine noise levels are higher.

Since my childhood I always wanted to ride a bike . But for bullet I always have a very soft corner in my heart . I always dreamed about riding one as I grow . I would dream to drive it from mumbai to kolkatta and from kanyakumari to ladhakh . it is very powerful bike though the transmission is slight slow , but on long drives it is just like a knief cutting a butter . well it is my sincere opinion that company should not have stopped the production of such a materpiece and hope if anybody from the top management of the company is reading this para should seriously think of restarting the production of this majestic bike .

this bike is a queen on the road and the person driving is a king.

This is one hell of a sloth .it is very heavy and bulky to drive.it,s gearshift is equal to lifting dumbells with legs .the engine somehow manages to get it moving.forget about driving pleasure you would like to get off this bike as soon as possible.pillion riding is the worst thing to happen to anyone,s butt.but there is a positive side to things.it gives a hell of an economy if u consider it runs on diesel.it is ideal to carry cargo like sacks and even buffaloes if possible!.overall I would give it a rating 2 out of 5 as it does not have much going for it except economy.it would not be a good job for ur image if u are seen on one
