I would first like to tell you that I own a LML CRD100 Super Deluxe. It has star (Five spoked) mag wheels as an add-on. First thing first, It was supposed to be an economy bike (100cc which give a great mileage and increase customer satisfaction) but it is a big let down when it comes to MILEAGE. After a few weeks after the first service, the bike returned 50kmpl. Now what are you supposed to do when they say it gives you 101kmpl???
Actually I was disappointed b'coz I had plans of modifying a bike. So I bought a light 100cc bike which had a great shape and which I thought would give at least 80kmpl+ mileage. I had dreams of fitting a mono-suspension, underseat exhaust, K&N air filters n stuff like that. I was gonna fit some clip-ons n wider rear tyre which would make the bike more sporty. But how much average would this bike give me after I fit such stuff ? Thats why the title !!!
The LML-Service centre guy told me the average would increase after the first service (when I complained to him that this bike has a drinking problem). But I see no change !!! The bike has run about 1500kms till now. And I hope after the second service (which is between 2000-2500kms), the figures change eventually.
I am happy with the pick-up. It can do wheelies quite easily. But when it comes to speed its just the opposite. My CRD100 shakes like hell when I go beyond the 60km/h mark. I touched the 95km/h mark once but it was like I pushed the holy sh*t out of my vehicle. The vibrations are too much beyond 60.
Stability is good. The bike is Quite Light. But the double-cushion suspension is a headache or should I say a backache. It is too hard and doesnt even move down when driving alone. The Firing is great (Thumbs UP to LML on that !!!).
So, if you can live with 50kmpl on a commuter bike and mostly drive with a pillion, rush to the nearest LML showroom. But if u want more performance, more mileage, but can do with the looks go for Honda Shine instead.
P.S. About the Price: I got it for an ON-Road price of 44,000 at the end of March in Navi Mumbai.
