Bajaj V15, the bike made using INS Vikrant's metal, entered the list of 10 best-selling motorcycles in April 2016. Launched on March 2016, the deliveries for the bike began towards the end of March. Selling a total of 24, 057 units in April 2016, the Bajaj V15 ranked number 10 on the list.

Thanks to such a great response for Bajaj V15, new Avenger range, Pulsar range and the entry-level CT100, the company managed to close the month with an impressive year-on-year growth of 24.84 per cent. The company sold a total of 2, 00, 43 units in April 2016 as against 1, 60, 554 units sold in the same month previous year. With this the company retains its number 3 position in the Indian two-wheeler market. Hero MotoCorp and Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India continue to enjoy the first two positions.

To further consolidate its position in the 150cc segment, the company aims to sell more units of the V15 in coming month. And to be able to do that, the company will increase its production to 1, 000 units per day.

Launched at Rs 62, 000 ( ex-showroom, Delhi) , the Bajaj V15 aims to attract buyers who want a premium executive bike at an affordable price. The V15 costs Rs 63, 682, Rs 62, 820 and Rs 65, 498 in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata respectively.

The Bajaj V15 drives its power from a 149.5cc, single-cylinder, DTS-i engine that is mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. This engine churns out 12bhp at 7500rpm and 13Nm at 5500rpm.

So lets make the review to the point short simple and accurate.

PROS:-

Unique and stylish body feature, that combine the body design of a sports bike with the comfort of cruiser.

Publicity in the youth company has target the soft-corner of Indian customers and published the bike as a simbol of patriotism which is good and innovative.

People will always look back to you bike when you ride it on the road.

CONS:-

Sound of the bike get muffled after some time.

No digital meters .

Power and pickup is not as it looks.

Bajaj V15 is superb and powerful bike at this very low price consider with other bike it had a great hunk look like avenger and harly bikes. Bike having good performance having smooth acceleration good in pick up and high power at this price. But some limitation like having highly maintainance at small period of running time.

It is to be noted that only the fuel tank is built from the metal of INS Vikrant which also gets a mention on the meaty tank.

Fuel consumption of this bike is not good but it sufficient as per the power and performance

Dimensionally the bike measures 2044mm long, 780mm wide, 1070mm high and has a kerb weight of 135.5 kg. The wheelbase and ground clearance are around 1315mm and 165mm respectively while the saddle height measures 780mm. Built on the completely new chassis- the double downtube frame, the bike wears a new neo-retro design reminiscent of the bikes from the 80s. Albeit, the commuter features some modern touches that kind of balances the look. Not to forget the robust fuel tank is built from the metal sourced from INS Vikrant aircraft carrier from the 1971 war. At the back is the rear seat cowl, chrome work is visible on the body but thankfully it isn’t overdone. The large head lamp in front evokes agility, there is an analog instrument panel featuring speedometer, odometer and fuel gauge, Bajaj has left out some of the features to cut down on pricing. Overall, the new commuter in the 125cc-150cc segment has a massive stance; the treatment is different from usual commuters that we have around.

Hello friends Bajaj V is the best option for to lovers bike, Indian first aircraft carrier INS Vikrant made with invincible metal, feel proud, every people asking I had bad experience 1st servicing in ulhasnagar kanchan Bajaj service center so please action about Bajaj service center, cause some technician have no knowledge about bike, I can easily say that this engine not for long lasting. Hardly it will last for two years and Gear Shifting Problem sometimes gears doesn't shift well and they make disgusting noise when changing or looking the Bajaj v, but Bajaj service center is too bad servicing provided.so improve his quality and grow up.

1. Great commuter bike under 150 cc.

Most important things about this bike:

1.milage is great about 48-54kms/ltr

2.vibration problem arise when you speed up the bike over 60 kms.

3.balencing is good but it must be better.

4.style is very unique.

This is a 150 cc low cost bike, with some minor engineering problem. We all know the bike file tank is made of the great INS Vikrant ship metal which is used in Bangladesh Pakistan war.

The V15 is Bajaj’s first motorcycle under its new ‘V’ brand. Being marketed as a stylish commuter, the V15 will sit between the Discover and the Pulsar range.

The most interesting aspect of the V15 is that the bike contains metal from the INS Vikrant – India’s first aircraft carrier. In terms of design, Bajaj has stuck to a classic retro appeal, something this segment doesn’t have. But at first glance you’ll be reminded of the Avenger because there’s a certain amount of design inspiration from the cruiser.

The Bajaj V15 gets a 150cc single-cylinder engine, based on the same DTSi engine from the Avenger. It delivers 12bhp at 7500rpm and peak torque of 13Nm at 5500rpm. This engine is mated to a five-speed transmission. The 18-inch front wheel rides on conventional 33mm telescopic front forks while the 16-inch rear wheel rides on dual springs. The brake setup is made up of a 240mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum in the rear. In terms of dimensions, the V15 is 2044mm long, 780mm wide and 1070mm tall. The wheelbase stands at 1355mm and the bike tips the scale at 135.5kg.

Bajaj Motorcycles is offering the new V15 in just two paint schemes – pearl white and ebony black. It competes with the Hero Achiever, Honda CB Unicorn and the Yamaha SZ-RR Version 2.0.

All of the bike is an issue. First of all after purchase of v15 first issue is fuel gauge not working then second is missing after that disk brake padal noise and damage. After second service in 3500 km bike make very loud noise and engine is damage and choke in running condition when I was on road and bike hit a car.

the body structure of this bike is very large and good

I think this bike is especially designed for racing with it's large and heavy engine capacity

Baja is one of best bike in india. It comes in very affordable price at cost of 60, 000 thousand u can easily buy withount any problem and secondly vikrant looks are amazing it looks just like and bullet and it, s mileage are also amazing . Guys you all know about bajaj it is mostly famous for its bike . Bajaj make racing and attractive bikes at the budget of the people. This time bajaj has discover a new bike that is V15. V15 is made up of a popular war ship and we proud of it INS vikrant parts. If you are a real indian and have a power to success everything in your life then you will definetly buy this bike. You feel proud yourself to ride this bike. First time I have taken a test drive of this bike that time what is my feeling I cant tell you. This bike come in many colour combination my best colour is white and red combination. The look of this bike is very stylish and crazy . Handling and balancing is also very good. You feel fully comfort while riding this bike. It has single cylinder 4 stroke SOH 2 valve Air cooled DTS-i 149.50cc engine to chase the speed. Fuel consumption and mileage was also very good. It will cost you fully 75000.

Dont think just bring your war hero at home and feel the power.

Next day I observed that there was problem of oil leakage from engine and then I visited there service center but no serious action taken by them(apart from just clamping the bolts).

And next day I observed there was different sound from engine as well, and again I took my V15 to service center and mr.sanjay(adviser,+91 8377908776) said it’s just a normal sound but it is different then what it should be.

I’m sorry to say that you people has disappointed my eager of buying this bike and also willingness of being a part of Bajaj family.

My shockers have started leaking, I really don’t know whether you people have made “AN INVINCIBLE” or “A PERVERTED”

Noise from engine(which I’ve told adviser Mr. sanjay) increasing day by day, and i’m sure this noise is due of PISTON EXCORIATION.

Its chain set started rattle, I can’t believe how a new bike chain start can rattle in just 8 days. If this is the level of your quality standard, i’m sorry and ashamed of myself for being the part of Bajaj Family.

I’d like to mention one more issue which I’ve faced i.e. the Allen bolt you have given for pilot seat cover are just so third class infact just a day after my purchase the hex socket got wear and now its not working.
