Ruined the whole range of pulsar
Jan 11, 2016 12:03 AM 9379 Views (via Android App)

There was a time when pulsar was a dream bike of many though I was a kid that time than also I know its craze among the market that.

But with the launch of pulsar 135 bajaj lost all the charm of pulsar among the youth, youth is not considering pulsar 135 as thier first choice, this is because of the few factors like many of us thinks that it is overpriced, bad average, not so impressive looks, very slim tyres.

Still all in all pulsar is pulsar, many people also liked it very much praised it. So still it is nice pick but with the launch of pulsar 200, bajaj has to stop its production to regain thier market image.

Average bike
Jan 10, 2016 09:41 PM 8225 Views

I have mentioned the above statement it is just a common bike like others with no looks and the power and pickup is not so good.

The quality of the bike is not so good and the maintenance is of a major concern. The mileage is quiet good as the cc is less. The bike is quiet light like a normal bike. The bike is not so stylish as its other variants.

The engine is quiet smooth and quiet comfortable. The tyre skids sometimes. I prefer this bike to people who care for mileage and for average looks.

About bajaj pulsar
Jan 10, 2016 09:20 PM 9088 Views

I purchased a pulsar 135 LS in the year 2011. Since then I have been riding this bike with almost no issues at all. Fual consumption is average. At the earlier days I used to get mileage around 50 kmpl on average but later it got reduced to 45 kmpl on average.

This is good mileage if you consider the power and the style that you are getting with this machine. And I would like to mention the awesome balance that this bike has. The rear tyre is thicker and that gives greater balance to the bike. Balance is so good so you can ride the bike even during the monsoon without worrying.

Front disk is good for emergency and rear is average. You can use the rear drum brake when you want to stop your bike in the traffic, I mean when you have time in your hand to stop the bike; but for emergency situations do not forget to use the front disk brake. Seats are not at all comfortable. If you are riding for long time then you might feel back pain but good for shorter time. Front and rear seats are not soft at all so your girlfriend might complain about it if you go on long rides with your girlfriend. So you might need to modify the rear seat to make it more comfortable to seat. Overall it is good bike with good power you can reach till 100 kmph even if you are riding double. But if you want to get best of the mileage benefit then try to keep the speed within 30 - 45 kmph and try to ride smooth. It is good one to purchase value for money is there.

Best Fuel Efficient & Sporty Looks Bike
Jan 10, 2016 08:12 PM 9894 Views

I purchased Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS black bike on 20th May 2010 from Bajaj Suman Auto, Noida. And I have been using this since then without any problem. I bought this in Rs. 61340. It is my second bike that I bought in my life.

Mileage: Pulsar 135 LS is the best fuel economic bike that gives 55 to 60 KM per liter mileage depending on riding quality and roads traffic.

Look & Design: Pulsar 135 LS has a great sporty look that enhance your personality when you drive the bike. It is available in two colors black & red.

Height: The height of the bike is perfect for a 5.5 to 6 feet tall man. I am 5.8 feet tall and my legs are perfectly touched ground when I sit on bike.

Engine: It has a 4-stroke, DTS-i, air cooled, 4-valve single cylinder engine. And 135 cc displacement.

DTSi Technology(Digital Twin Spark ignition) engine has two Spark plugs located at opposite ends of the combustion chamber and hence fast and efficient combustion is obtained.

Speed: You can run this bike up to speed 80 KM/liter with smooth drive but when you take this speed more than 80 the bike get started noisy from it's engine.

Perfect gripped in handels while driving.

Overall I rated this bike as a best fuel economy bike in this price range. And it is perfect for a middle class family, a regular office man and for youngsters.

Best bike

I am using a pulsar 135 since 5 years and yet it gives an fuel economy of about 65kmpl which is the  best thing which you require in these days. although the bike is just 135cc it generates enough torque. But the main problem is the vibration of the engine is very much which degrades the ride quality. also the engine gets heated up very soon and thus increases the vibration. the seats are not that comfortable but it gets the work done.

I purchased bajaj pulsar 135 before 2 years.I am very satisfied with the riding experience.it gives me very comfort in driving. I am getting a mileage of around 60+ km per litre. There is no over heat and sound. till this period.

The only problem I felt is small vibration if the speed touches more than 70. I am maintaining regular service correctly. I recommend this vehicle to all.

Giving 4 out of 5 stars.

Bad engine quality
Dec 07, 2015 03:01 AM 11840 Views

Bajaj pulsar 135 LS is a very popular bike. Its costs is not too high and very nice look. It is a very high speed bike. I have this bike. But here I faces some problem.  After one year a sound start to come from engine. And within few days engine sound makes too loudly.

Some problem with gear shifting & hydrolics. For that I decided to sell it and finally sell with with a loss. So I suggest not to buy this bike, use some extra money and buy better pulsar one.

Good as first bike

I needed a bike few years ago to go to college daily, so my dad bought me pulsar 135. I am not a great fan of speed and power so this bike is good. It has a good mileage of approx 51 kmpl. and stylish too as compared to other bikes of this range.

Though I have got a car now and my college is over, I still use my pulsar for running errands.

Reliable
Dec 05, 2015 12:39 PM 10968 Views

2 yrs back I was looking forward for buying myself a bike which could be basically fuel efficient, has a great pick up should have great looks, should be not too much heavy and packed with great performance.

so I always like pulsar bikes but the only problem I saw in them was mileage and when 135 ls was introduced to me I just made sure I will be buying this.

it has great looks for starters adding to that the most imporatnt factor fuel consumption and 4 valve engine,

being light sport it becomes easy to to ride in traffic the only drawback I found was the comfort, as it doesnot have a mono suspension the pillion has to bear all the discomfort.

I have been on long trips with the same bike and I can totally rely on it.

I would recommend this buy for all those whose budget is not much high but still want to enjoy the feel of riding.

The people who are looking for a bike with stylish looks and good mileage so Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS is a great option for them. I am using Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS from last two years with great performance. as I am a student so mileage of bike matters a lot for me thats why I selected Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS as my bike. it needs very less maintenance.

Handling and control is just too good, as it is one of the light weighted model in comparism of ther models so handling and control becomes bit easier. the only problem I faced with Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS is  sound coming from breake but after repairing I do not faced any problem. in my opinion Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS is best bike in bajaj pulsar series

Worst Bike Of Pulsar 135
Nov 30, 2015 11:53 AM 11562 Views

This bike is a failer of bajaj organization. I am utilizing this bicycle, this bicycle useful for a long time or 20000 km. after that it will be exasperate you. Its motor is extremely bed or u can say exceptionally poor.engine will be exceptionally voice and once if bikehas motor issue then it motor can not be repair appropriately. The pillion seat is a bit uncomfortable, So I avoid long journeys.

I am not sure what is good thing about this, looks are also not that good. In fact, other bike like Twister are much better than this bullshit. So, don't waste your money on this just think twice thrice & go for some good option.

Excellent bike at this price range toward mileage style handling.pulsar is well known for good balancing two wheeler so it is decent product.

And when you compare to pulsar 150 you will not get major difference between two sibling. when manufacturer name is bajaj so do not think twice. Strongly Recommend to buy

If you don't have heavy personality and still you want to but a pulsar then Bajaj pulsar 135 is best option for you.

Reasons for buying Bajaj Pulsar 135LS
Nov 28, 2015 03:22 PM 11867 Views

The reason for buying this vehicle is it is it is fuel efficient when compared to many bikes of this class. And has it is manufactured by Bajaj it is no doubtedly a very good product of its company. And in fact it is one of the top selling bikes in India.

The things I like are

1)Good design

2)Good Power

3)Good mileage

4)Good body balance

5)Good grip in slippery roads.

The things I dislike in this bike

1)It is quite costlier to bikes of this range.

2)It requires Maintenance

3)It is not so good has Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSi.

The power with this vehicle is very good and it has good build quality.

It is good for teenagers as it looks stylish

There is nothing like who should't buy it. It best suits for all.

Chandigarh, India India
Bajaj's little Monster.
Nov 28, 2015 12:20 PM 11694 Views

My name is Amit, I am 22 year old based in Chandigarh. I am owner of pulsar 200 Ns but my friend have this bike pulsar 135 and its attract me towards itself. It looks like little NS. I exchange this bike with my NS 200 with my friend. and here is my review about it.

Price and Mileage:

It is a budget bike with this type of power. it will not let Yamah Fz near to it. and it gives a decent mileage of 55 to 60 kmpl.

Looks:

It looks like little NS so I loved it. sharp air cutting corners give it a perfect look.

my friend is mad about this bike when he get its test drive and he purchased it instantly by cash payment.

Engine and Gearbox

The Pulsar 135 has Bajaj’s trademark DTS-i engine. What’s new is that Pulsar 135 features the first application of a 4 valve head in an Indian bike. This, combined with the under square design, makes for a powerful engine. So although it is just 135cc, just by power to weight ratio, it is superior to a lot of the 150cc bikes out there.

For a bike in its category, it is indeed fast. I have personally done 0-60kmph in under 6 seconds and clocked a top speed of 102kmph. The downside of such high stressed engine, is the vibrations. This is an established fact and there is nothing much that can be done except get used to it. But this isn’t really as bad a thing as you would think.

Going with the sporty feel, the gear lever is the toe shift type. The gear shift pattern is 1-down-4-up, improving the safety of the bike. The gear shift is smooth and the gear ratio is also perfect for city commute with the top gear pulling as low as 25kmph, relieving you of the gear shift on smaller jams and those lighter bumps.

Styling:

After the full length rear tyre hugger was replaced, the bike looks absolutely stunning. The sculpted tank with its lean mean front fairings, the clip-on handle bars, split seats and split rear grab rails all come together to give it a truly sporty look. The stylish number plate holder which drops from the rear also appeals to me very much. This bike is easily the best thing that happened to a tall thin rider.Just the fact that the brand new Pulsar 200NS looks more like the 135LS than the 220 is a testimony to this design. One minor down-side of the split rear grab rails is that you cannot fit your helmet lock here. You will have to attach it to the front crash guard. I find this to be a small problem especially when you are parking in a crowded place.

Handling:

Most of my commuting happens through the busiest IT corridors of Bengaluru. Weighing in at 122kg, the Pulsar truly lives up to its reputation of “Light and Sporty” as it zips through the chaos of rush hour traffic and bad roads. The slender frame ensures that the bike slips through smallest gaps that bigger bikes with wider fairings simply cannot. The bike feels easy and responds to the slightest touch, making it a pleasure to zigzag through busy roads. Cornering has also been a breeze on this baby. The bike has disc brakes on the front tyre and drum on the rear. For a bike of this category, these brakes are reliable and give you the confidence to take on the roads.

My Verdict:

one months and 3000 Km later, I am still completely in love with this bike. The Pulsar 135LS combines the best of the 125cc segment economy and the 150cc segment power. Add to that its stylish sporty look and you have a winner. So if you are a college goer or a young professional or a new biker just learning to ride, looking for an economic yet powerful and stylish ride, the baby Pulsar is the one for you.

Thank you for reading.
