Bajaj M80 is a 4 strock bike.at that time it was very popular among old people.but now no one love it specially for its looks.its engine is very weak.and its sound is very noisy and most of all its not a comfortable bike.its spped is also very poor.if you ride it with full speed than its out of your control.its only for goods carring not for style and not for long riding.now peolpe like stylish bike at a low rate.but its rate is also not as reasonable as compare to its featers.very difficult to repair bacuse of lack of spareparts availibility.

Bajaj M80 is used by my nabour and according to hom he is very much satisfied with this bike as it's features are good for less distance traveller.

I must say this indian branded motorcycle is a good medium to deal with day to day life work.

This bike is very cheap and could be bought by any class of people. Bajaj M80 makes its customers more confident. Its design is quite good and seats are much comfortable.

This bike is so light and could be handled very easily. Fuel consumption is very good and reliability is awesome.

Overall very nice bike for less distance travellers.

Bajaj m80 is the most best bike because this bike now also I am having .

I have taken this bike in 1997 .

Today also this bike is half kick start .

This bike have best millage .

On that time this is the first gear bike .

This bike have very big demand on that time.

This bike have 80 cc engine .

In winter season then also this bike need half kick because this bike is half kick start .

This bike have 80 top speed .

Rhis bike goes on 50 to 60 speed .

Using highly in rural areas, M80 id maintenance free, average is quite good, you can through even heavy trrafic due to its compact size, we can simply handle heavy loads also, and control quite nicely, I like M80 Very much. I have 1986 model. It will superbly suit for luggage carrying purpose. Its pickup is awesome, so many times I have filled Kerosene for more sound amd smoke to attract people during my high school holydays.

Its a very great bike its heavy duty its also last long bike its comfortable and even too heavy bike but being a heavy bike it can take upto huge amount of loads and its has 2 stroke engine and its has great power and it has two seats and petrol tank is below the seat even the bike noise is very harsh it sounds very great amd even runs great

It's great value for money. Mainly because of the fuel consumption and it's cheap and handy. Easy to ride.

As per the looks it does not look so promising at all but very useful in the rural as well in urban areas.

This bike is mainly a rural based bike and the fuel consumption is so great that it is loved by people who are on the economical side. Nice one

I m using this bike from many years . no complaints. I love this bike. If Bajaj motors restart manufacturing I will be the first person to buy a new one. It is 1990 model. Not a single complaint came till now. Before my father was driven this bike and now I'm using it. During the driving it gives good feeling.

Giving good mileage and maximum speed. Its zero maintenance bike strong for Indian roads. I use standard 2T mixed with petrol and I'm getting mileage of 55 to 60kmpl.I tried many bikes but cant shop my self using it

Its my precious time to speak about Classic Bikes. this time, am going to write about my old favorite bike - Bajaj M80 4 Stroke

we own it in Feb 2002 ..still its run very gud without any problem.

When there were no performance bikes within 150cc in India only small bikes were considered to be performing. As that tie mileage was the most important factor considered. Out of which M80 4 Stroke is considered to be the most out-performing

It means that it can carry a Driver, a pillion and a Payload, say for example it can carry more than 170kgs at ease with the tiny 75cc engine.

My father buy the m80 in 27 th oct. 2001 we all are using this veichle from last 10 / 11 yrs. Without facing any problem. Still it gives a good average of 70 kmpl. The colour is still shiney. I just clean it by dry cloth n it starts shining. the Blue colour is good one. Ya the look is average... but dont go on its looks ... just see the average n performance... what else to say?

This basket is very useful to put vegetables or any other goods. I used to carry flour bag from CHAKKIWALLA to our house on my M80 Major. Maintenance is low. For each servicing I have to spend Rs. 200 approximately. After regular servicing (quarterly) its Ok. M80 Major has a stand to attach books / files etc. therefore it is very useful for college students or carrying many things at a time. I am living in Mumbai (Vile Parle East) therefore I have to travel only within 5 KMs. I used to carry all the things on M80 Major. When I have shortage of time and lot of things to do I get ready with different types of bags etc. and purchase necessary things i.e. vetetables - fruits etc.; distribute necessary papers - CDs - Floppies etc. to my clients and complete all the tasks.

M80 is good when you have to move within the range of 5 Kms. Another reason for purchasing M80 is it can not move much faster - say 40 Kms./ per hour is the maximum speed. After this limit we can sense strange stound from engine. After this limit the driver can feel that the engine is littlebit uneasy and starving for relief. My father bought us M80 from the safety point because it can not move much faster.

If you have M80 your sister / wife / bhabhi can also use the same. Therefore, in another way it is more efficient than motorcycle. I know girls are using motorcycles but many girls prefer vehicles like M80.

For your collage going boy or girl vehicles like M80 are best. They can not play race with M80 and hence chances of accident are much less. When you purchase M80 or similar vehicle for your collage going boy / girl you are teaching them practical way to spend money. Now many college going students are using bikes like Honda, the way they are riding these super machines is horrible. To teach your college going boy / girl value for money you can purchase M80 or similar vehicles. When one uses M80 or similar vehicles he/she is aware that the fuel capacity is much less therefore he or she definately prioritize works.

My views are different, you may think they are littlebit foolish but think on it.

Probably the most widely used bike of the Pune city (older model though). Bajaj M80 has a relatively ugly looks with looking more like a moped than a Scooter or a motorcycle. Power, pickup viz. its far ahead than today’s Scooty or Pride. Bajaj M80 major is the new version of the M80 series. It is improved slightly in design and engine. The previous design had a more flat and vertical handle panel. The lower portion of the windshield is bend considerably for minimal air resistance. Still they couldn’t come up with something unconventional or sleek design.

Today looks are everything that’s why so many bikes by different companies are cashing on it. Expensive bikes like Eliminator are making a good sell in spite of it being unsuitable for Indian road conditions. Motorcycles are certainly seeing better days in India. I don’t think M80 could make good sells in India because of its ordinary looks. May be Pune could give the manufacturers a ray of hope. Looks apart technically M80 is really great and superior to its good-looking bad riding competitors. I hope Bajaj uses same technology and combination of M80 in to its Scooty like models viz. Saffire etc.

They have called the new frame of the body a Step through frame. The bike is very short in height making it easy for the rider to keep his both feet on the ground. I don’t think owners of Eliminator and Pulsar etc. could ever keep there both feet on the ground no matter how tall they are (No sarcasm intended). Compact size of the M80 makes its easier to maneuver in traffic congested streets and narrow lanes. Bike comes in 3-4 colors. The shield is always painted white and is made up of a hard plastic. Ground clearance is mere 135 mm same as Saffire. Wheelbase of M80 tires is greater than the Saffire, however effective body being lowered for less air resistance reduces the overall ground clearance.

Maximum speed achievable is 75 kmph. This high in comparison to Scooty and Pride. I almost forgot to mention this a 2-stroke bike with a displacement of 74 cc. This very good in spite of being 2 stroke. Maximum power attainable with M80 Major is 5.2 bhp at 7500 RPM. Most important part is the fuel consumption or mileage of the bike. Now would you believe a 65 kmpl average under standard conditions. However under normal street conditions it should be around 50 kmpl still 5-10 higher than technically weak Scoterettes. This has no button start and is equipped with gears. So it can drive the load of two comfortably even on big inclines.

Fuel Tank capacity is 4 litters with below 1 for reserve. Kern weight of the M80 is 90 kg. This is same as other scoteretts. Wheelbase is bigger and in exact numbers it is 1210 mm. Brakes are drum based. Suspensions are different in M80. Front suspensions are double acting hydraulic and rear ones are Trailing arm with coaxial hydraulic shock absorber. Pickup of M80 is thunderous. I really appreciate the technical design of M80.

If you can compromise over looks and style and value the performance then you have spent your money with a great worth. The sturdy looks make it suitable in rough road condition areas esp. in villages. The cost of the bike is also very less.
