Yes Marriages are made in Heaven..But the decision whom to marry is taken on earth!!!

We say world is changing, technology is changing.. modernization has been taking place everywhere..but let me ask you all..are we really adapting modernization???We been born & bought up in the country we all are so proud off..The customs, traditions, the culture here is just so amazing. Every caste, every religion has some different customs some different traditions. Also different marriage rituals, different customs too. But in the end we marry ‘HUMAN’ only right???then why a drama of not letting our sons/daughters ,marry someone they love, someone they like??someone they wanna spent their lives with??

Everything around is changing, villages changing in cities..Industrialization & Modernization is changing, the places, the look everything around us, then why do we still stick to that strictness of not letting a bride/groom from different caste enter our community????

I have this friend of mine she is maharastrian, she felt in love with this guy who happens to be Marwari. The boy loved her too..everything goes well while they were dating each other..suddenly boy starts acting weird, he lessens the communication with this friend of mine. The way he use to die to talk to her initially, die to to see her, to meet her everything just changes. He has nothing to give her in return, but only the reasons. She tries her level best to figure out what went wrong?? he says, nothing happened everything is all good. He consoles her saying its her assumption otherwise everything is alright. But still his behavior keeps killing her from inside. One fine day she decides to ask him for the last time what is it, that is bothering him???she sent him texts to inquire if he has something to say, Finally the boy breaks his silence...He tells my friend, he so loves her but then they can't go ahead in this relationship, for they have no future. His family will never agree upon this marriage & its better they stop here. They can be best friends if they want. My friend just couldn’t take all this, she was shattered completely because she really loved this guy. Being friends was so next to impossible because she loved him so much. The drama continued, in the end they decided to apart mutually, which they did. But then point here was why dint this guy think of all this before???

Secondly, why cant we let our children marry the one they love, they happy with. If this would have been that way then I am sure the number of bad marriages in India would have been so less. In my friend’s case, if that boy would have really loved, he wouldn't have let her go..he should have had that guts to at least try & hold her back. Without even talking about it, he declared nothing can be worked out. Only if this boy had that little daring to let things work am sure they would have been together. But then again, the boy was not wanting to go against his family & yes he wanted to stick to the customs & traditions.

This still continues till now, when will this change??Agreed we have some rituals set by our forefathers, we need to follow them. But what sense does it make at the cost of love. Why cant we allow the two lovers to be together??Why cant they be happy with their future??why cant we let them decide who they wanna be with???We really need to think on this, seriously we need too.

P.S:I am sure this can be serious issue, but then no offense..some real life examples around me has made me write this. I am just trying to get general views from you all..so don’t misunderstand me here.
