The other day I was crossing the road and right beside me was a lady who kept staring at me while crossing, walked a mile with me and all of a sudden she extended her right hand and I realised she is A Needy. She fortunately didn’t look like one!
I was immediately reminded of the song Chalte Chalte Yuhi Ruk Jata Hun Mai from Mohobbatein. This song is aptly written for such fortunately Needy people.
‘To Give or Not to’ is certainly a question based on morality, ethics, humanity and every concept..! I believe in helping but it has to be the Needy.
Read this conversation:
Fortunately Needy Man: I m the author of a book called ‘150 Methods to become Rich’
Man: Then why are you begging?
Fortunately Needy Man: This is one of the best methods…!
Now the question is...
How can one differentiate between a Lazy and a Needy person?
I believe Someone who is physically and mentally sound cannot be termed as Needy.
Do you agree?
Today I will be sharing with you my experience of meeting a person who is a needy but is not lazy. It happened the day when I was waiting for the bus at Himayatnagar Bus stop, towards the right side of the Stop was a physically disabled man sitting under an umbrella selling lemon juice. He can undoubtedly avoid this hassle and adopt a convenient way of being the needybut he preferred to choose the other route.
The first thought that occurred to me was to help this man. I asked for a lemon juice, he prepared it right in front of me, 250ml for 10 bucks for a reasonably fair price. The juice was much better than the lemonade drinks available in the market.
I finally felt a sense of contentment within. Global Vision is the organisation which has helped him and several such genuinely Needy people. Their effort is commendable. Helping such organisations is any day better than helping the fortunately Needy people.
What are your thoughts on this issue? Do you help the one who is a needy or the one who is lazy?
