It has been a long time, since I actually posted something on Mouthshut, around 4 years actually. I guess my last post here was way back in 2011. Over the course of time, I wrote at other sites, then focused on my own blog, before getting too busy on Social Media. And somewhere down the line I was off on Mouthshut.
But at the back of my mind, I had still not forgotten Mouthshut. It was a place where I wrote a lot, and in fact honed my writing skills too.
For 15 long years, I was always planning to write a book, but just kept going on and off. The problem is unlike a blog or an article, a book needs to have a series, and I was not really focused. I had so many ideas, but it was never consistent, just kept jumping from one to another. Now on a blog, it is fine for me to jump from one topic to another, but in a book it's harder to do so. It would be highly confusing for the reader too, to keep switching from topic to topic or theme to theme in a book.
Finally I took the plunge, and decided to go ahead with my book, and I am glad to say my first book has been published both in print and E-Book version.
What is the name of the book and what is it about?
Inglorious Kweezerds, and it is a collection of my online quizzes that I posted at my blog as well as some of them here. The title of the book is based on my blog name, as well as the name of my quiz team too, and it was a tribute of sorts to that Quentin Tarantino movie.
Why did you choose your quizzes as a topic?
Well for starters, the content was already available to me, all I had to do was compile it and put it together in a readable format. And it was a pretty light read, so I really had nothing much to lose, I mean this was not exactly some "masterpiece":)
Where can I buy this book?
I went for self publishing and found this site, after exploring a dozen options. Basically I wanted a site, where I could put up my book, and set a decent price for it. Fortunately there was a site, that was helpful to writers like me just starting out. For those interested in buying.
