I have been fortunate enough to welcome certain MSian friends at my home in Hyderabad (BHEL Township), viz. Khalid Khan (bkaks), Rajesh Sharma (Raj_onlyone) and Ruchir Pathak (GRuchirG). Today I felt honoured when one more esteemed MSian visited me. It's the newly crowned star writer and my affectionate younger sister - S.B. Patra (Chalojai Bahudure) who had come to the city with her hubby - Kaushik Ji and out of this small visit (less than two days), she spared time to meet her brother, that's me, and his family.
Being the holiday in my employer organization (due to Ganesh Chaturthi), I was completely free and since yesterday evening itself (because yesterday was also a holiday due to Id), I had been eagerly awaiting her. Due to heavy rainfall yesterday, she could not manage but today morning she managed it. I got her phone call when their taxi reached the nearest local Railway station (Lingampalli) and I drove on my scooter with my son to welcome them and to guide them to our residence in the BHEL colony.
Chalojai looks ditto her profile picture and I found her as nice as her writings are. Her hubby is an equally nice fellow and I was glad to introduce them to my family members. Due to some confusion, we had not prepared lunch and frankly, I did not ask them for it because I was feeling that before leaving the city in the evening, they should get sufficient time to visit historical places like Saalarjung Museum and Chaar Minar. So we had (late) breakfast prepared by my wife.
Chalojai told me that this was her first occasion to meet an MSian in person. Well, I got the honour to be that first one. There was no dearth of topics to talk but the time constraint was there. Anyway, I talked about her profession. She is a clinical psychologist working in Bangalore. Her hubby is employed with Infosys. I have always taken interest in Psychology and it was my optional paper when I had attempted the Civil Services (years back). Hence I was enjoying talking to her. Quite interestingly, we talked very less about mouthshut.com.
The meeting lasted for around one hour. And, putting it straight, none of us was happy to part with. However since they had to visit Saalarjung Museum which is quite faraway from my residence here, myself and my family members bade adieu to them. And the promise to meet again in future was there from both the sides. Before their leaving, my daughter took snaps of myself and my wife alongwith Chalojai and her hubby on the roof of our residential quarter. This small meeting has been memorable for me and my family. Looking forward to meet you again in future sis.
